OoC: I think you switched the two Damage calculations; my getting a 'free hit' should be the 10+31-10, and a critical should be 10*2+31-10. Ultimately it doesn't make a difference, though. I assume that my buffing effects didn't survive the jump?

OoC: Sorry, the damage recorded is actually two critical hits, I just wrote the calculations for hit instead. But yes, your boosts should have survived the jump, I didn't see them way back when you hadn't corrected me since then, the round will be re-rolled right now.

"Sodding hell. Where is that four eyed freak when you need him." Guts grumbled. He was ready to punch a child or a tall gnome in the face, literally. Plan B. Guts entered the Kitchen.

Guts attempts to enter the kitchen, but finds it locked.

"... I swear to all the sodding Gods, someone is fucking dying here..." Guts walks back into the dining hall again, and stops at the table, for a second he thinks about flipping the table, but that would probably create too much of a ruckus. Instead, Guts goes to talk to Shawe.

OoC: Scuba, wait a Round, then I'll open the door. I'm equipping an artifact this Round, so I won't be able to unlock the door and target Clippard to make sure he can't get out.

I equip my Counterstrike Gloves and attack Clippard from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.

"Shawe. You´re trying to broker a deal with the Guild about some bombs, am I right? Listen to me, don´t try to work on Ladybug´s greed, you will fail and probably give you some crap about life being precious and all that. Instead, work on her sense of accomplishment. Cause her to imagine every military organization using items made by the Guild of Invision. Praise her work, act humble. Oh, and tell her you will hire a neutral agent in the form of Heroica to monitor any and all transactions the Shadeaux will broker, to make sure the bombs fall in the least wrong hands possible. You´ll get your contract." With that, Guts walked off again, waiting on , he´d collect his reward later.

Nyx looks around the great hall, noting Guts' shenanigans and feeling slightly relieved she wasn't the only one with anger management issues. She tries to stifle a grin. She spots Watters and approaches with determination and confidence.

"Watters, yes?" she states simply and imperiously "I need you, come with me." she maintains a deliberately haughty aspect to indicate she does not expect to be argued with. "Now! Hurry up!" and she (hopefully) leads Watters out to the quiet of the courtyard.

A smile spreads on the face of Samuel Shawe.

"I'll give it a shot," he says smugly and also a little thankfully. "I didn't catch your na..." he says as Guts drifts away.

"Tsk tsk, what manners!" says Lady Felix in faux-shock. "Hardly befits a first sword, don't you think, Captain Hellsong?"

The blue server follows Lady Nyx out to the courtyard, which Guffington is just now crossing again. He nods respectfully and cheerfully to the duo.

"Making friends already?" he says with a chortle and smile. "Keep an eye on that sun, Ms. Nyx, seems sure to set soon! Must be about 7:10 now."

"What can I help you with?" asks the waiter impatiently as Guffington steps back inside. His voice is nasally.

"You lifted the amulet off me before I said that. I didn´t notice... I´m getting old... But nevermind that. There is no Morgan Hellsong." Guts looks over the courtyard. 7.10, in a moment, Daneeka and Ladybug would walk out, he needed to speak with both of them. Daneeka first, Shawe would need to get his deal sorted out first.

Nyx rounds on Watters, the smile she had for Guffington fading fast, and instead a menacing grimace replacing it.

"You are a server, correct? You don't have any reason to be here other than that, is that right? I would like to know what you would say if I told you that the chef is a poisoner. And I should also like to know why somebody seems to have gone to great lengths to ensure your death. I suggest that you answer me truthfully and directly, or fear the consequences of my wrath."

OoC: Scuba (this has no effect, but I feel I have to explain) - the courtyard and Dining Hall aren't the same thing. I should have thrown together a map of the house for you guys. Courtyard is a hallway away from the Dining Hall. Branching off from the Dining Hall is the kitchen, and in the hallway between the Courtyard and Dining Hall are the doors leading to a) Daneeka's study and b) the upstairs guest rooms. Again, no effect on the story or plans or anything, but, you know.

Hybros and Everstien enter the Marshes' room. Hybros steps into the second room on the left. He discovers a room with a double bed, a more conventional dresser, two night stands, and a desk. On one of the nightstands is a small glass goblet. Hybros remembers it from his last search, but paid it no heed. Now Everstien goes and picks it up.

"The Marshes. Exactly who I wanted to investigate. Something does not add up for me. We know that there is only one back-up plan for the attack on Guffington. Lady Marsh is supposedly a Blue Assassin... but she doesn't seem it. She can hardly fight, as we saw when we attacked her. And then there's Watters. Why is he on a list with the poisoner and Lord Marsh?" Everstien licks the inside of the glass and his eyes glaze over slightly. "This liquid is strange still." He coughs and turns away, as if to hide it. "Do your work, imp."

"Someone has put effort into my death?" he asks angrily, and from the folds of his uniform draws a dagger. "You're my assassin, then? I thought I was selected too easily. Is the U'Kin in on it too? Always plans within plans within plans with this sort of people."

"Someone has put effort into my death?" he asks angrily, and from the folds of his uniform draws a dagger. "You're my assassin, then? I thought I was selected too easily. Is the U'Kin in on it too? Always plans within plans within plans with this sort of people."

Nyx sighs wearily and pinches the bridge of her nose before glancing with disdain at the dagger and looking at Watters with an expression of utter annoyance.

"I'm not your bloody assassin; do I look like a sodding assassin? And as far as I know the U'Kin isn't in on anything, but I can assure you that if he is, then he and I will be having a conversation.

Now, I have no intention of killing you, but if you don't start explaining who you are, why you're here and basically telling me everything you know, I will start burning off bodily appendages, starting with your very large nose.

You have no idea how long this night day has been for me already and my very limited stores of patience are almost exhausted, much like the rest of me, and I tend to get a bit.. volatile when I'm tired and annoyed."

Nyx taps her foot in impatience, small flames appearing between her fingertips as she examines them as if examining her nails.

Docken fires a bolt or two through the heart. The Shrooms put forward some resistance, but they are unable to stand the heat of the battle without their former master, and crumbles shortly there-after (skipping the auto-running, you wouldn't have taken damage and would have counterstruck them to death). The battle is victorious!

The kitchen stands bloody and empty. Docken can't help but remember the last time Guts left it in this state.

"I'm no chemist, and mixing potions dilutes the whole batch." Everstien shrugs non-commitially. "It's not just a love potion, I'll tell you that. It gives me an adrenaline rush just drinking that little drop of it."

The nightstand contains a book of accounts, a play by Stirlance, and a huge satchel. Hybros opens it up to see shimmering gold. He picks up a note on top that simply says:

Second half, take it once the one you've been hired to kill is dead. I know you will be honorable. I have worked with your type before.

"I'm a blue assassin," he wheezes with a slightly defeated sigh. "I was sent here to kill someone, obviously. My target," he glances back at the house and sighs again, "is that cook, Clippard. There is more to him than meets the eye, I'll tell you that. Now, can I get back to work?"

Madame Ladybug and Doc Daneeka enter the room, and after a short conversation Shawe swoops down and takes Ladybug away to discuss.

Guts approaches Daneeka, and whispers to him: "Marsh wants me to grab a certain book you, he or I don't understand. You know the one, yes? Grab me another one he won't be able to read, quickly, and bring it to Lady Felix or me." After that, Guts waits patiently for Ladybug and Shawe to finish their talk, while checking the room, trying to see if he can locate Lady Marsh, Lord Marsh and Avery.
