"Alright, erm, so... I know you have not been with the Ji Pei for a long time, but I was wondering, if you could, eh, put in a good word for me. You see, eh, I have failed the family on an occasion or two before, and I would, erm, very much appreciate their help in a personal matter. I know that you are busy with the work for Guffington, and I would ask you and him for help, but... ehem, maybe next time. For now, I need the trust and help of the Ji Pei family. Since we have helped Guffington again, well... it would mean... a lot. Heh."

Hybros looked on expectantly, occasionally glancing at the floor, hoping the scientist would provide a Letter of Recommendation.

Nyx nods politely to Guffington, smiling, and with an equally warm smile she returns the Eye of the Beholder Amulet to Lady Felix.

"Lady Felix, I had great fun working with you. I look forward to fighting on the same side as you again someday. If you will excuse me."

Nyx slips her high heels back on and glides over to Lord Chauncey, he head slightly to one side as she approaches and a mischievous smile on her lips.

"Lord Chauncey? Hello again. We.. didn't really get much chance to talk just now. I ... suspect we would have a lot to talk about, especially considering your current project involving the Old Gods. If you'd ever like to discuss that, or any other magical subject, maybe over a drink sometime, just let me know. I'm sure a man of your means would know where to find me. It's been wonderful to meet you, though."

"I will pass on my recommendation. I still hold sway there. The Ji Pei know to listen to great minds." Hybros relinquishes his Recommendation, but feels that the Ji Pei will certainly hear of his feats.

"I'll be heading out to Dastan, I suppose. Or maybe I'll head north. These amulets don't need to be returned immediately. What are they doing in a museum but gathering dust." Lady Felix shrugs. "I lifted this from the chef while I was collecting Avery, by the by. Thought you said you wanted it." Lady Felix hands Guts Clippard's Poison (When applied to a weapon, all damage dealt will instantly KO enemies unless they are immune to poison, deadly poison, or sudden death. Can be applied 3 times [0/3]).

"I think we shall be seeing each other soon enough, Lady Nyx. It was a pleasure." He shakes her hand.

OoC: Will you divide the loot here, or in the Hall, JimBee? Just want to know so I can post the final stats!

Posted (edited)

Guts pocketed the poison, and smirked: "Thanks, good luck, Felix, perhaps we'll meet again."

The raider walked right past the others, and headed back out. He'd go back to the hall, but first to his ship, to get some well deserved rest.

OOC: We'll divvy up loot in the hall, thanks for having us!

Hybros nodded in thanks to Daneeka. "This will not be forgotten." He turned, whipping his new cloak behind him, and headed for the Hall.

DOCKEN - Events Occur After the Second Jump (I Believe)

Docken slips into the kitchens as the Blue Server walks out into the Dining Hall.

IMG_1404_zps746354a8.jpg

9b671df3-f0c8-46c1-84a6-7b33ec493811_zps63a817ea.jpg

"...of course, I have heard great things of Yasmar as well, but your name is not unknown in Gull. But your unique services are what I've come to procure. Perhaps you can cook a private dinner for my husband and I some time."

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"Anything for the right price," chuckles the old cook. Then he notices Docken and raises an eyebrow. The woman spins around and smiles happily.

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"Lost?"

"I apologize if I interrupted you. No, not lost. Just interested in the food and drink you're going to be serving.

"Bartholomew Docken. Pleased to meet you. How do the two of you know Lord Guffington?"

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"It will be drink only tonight. Ludicrous, but I guess the rich can choose what they like. And I know him because he hired me as a cook."

9b671df3-f0c8-46c1-84a6-7b33ec493811_zps63a817ea.jpg

"My husband does business with him," says the woman slightly coldly, but maintaining a smile. "How is it that you know Guffington?"

"I've worked with U'Ordiussum and Doctor Daneeka before.

"Drink only? You must be very skilled at preparing drinks if Lord Guffington has hired you only for that. Are you well-known?"

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"Extremely well known. I think that damned fool Yasmar is the only fellow with a better reputation than me, though I can't imagine why."

"I see. I must admit that I am not particularly familiar with any of the individuals in your profession. How many different drinks will you be serving tonight?"

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"Wine now, spiced wine later." The cook looks scathingly at the Warden. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've had enough of idiotic questions for one day. How many types of drinks...."

I use Diplomacy.

"It's my job to ask questions like that. Prevent individuals from being killed or crippled, in this case by what I have reason to believe is poison in Lord Guffington's goblet of spiced wine. One would hate to see the reputation of a chef such as yourself sullied by the death by poisoning of one of Eubric's richest."

I move to put myself in front of the doorway and I make note of where any other exits are.

The chef glances over his shoulder, and then back at the two people in the room. Lady Marsh looks aghast. The female server lazily looks between Docken and the chef.

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"What are you getting on about?!" exclaims the chef. "Leave me alone, I need to cook. There will be no poison in the wines, and if there is, I can assure you that I did not put it there myself." The cook turns and begins to furiously scrub a counter.

"Your hostility betrays your role in this apparent scheme, as does your attempt to occupy yourself with another task. A supposed world-renowened chef, suddenly deciding to scrub a counter in the middle of his drink service? I have heard a term for that before... a 'scum flail'."

"Why so horrified Lady Marsh?"

9b671df3-f0c8-46c1-84a6-7b33ec493811_zps63a817ea.jpg

"It looks as if we're going to come to blows." Says the poor woman, clearly terrified. "I have no-"

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"Screw it," says the chef, whipping around. Four mushrooms fly into the air and land in front of Docken.

"Attacking guests now, are we? I was hoping to not get involved."

The waitress seems to reach into her vest, groping for something.

OoC: I was in the Back Row and Counterstriking should be halved. (Or at least that's how it's always been played for me.)

I use Diplomacy.

"Don't move. I have only prevented Lady Marsh from leaving. If you do not wish to suffer a similar blow, you will stay where you are and make no move until I am finished."

If the server obeys: I consume a Mead and attack Clippard from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.

If the server does not obey: I consume a Mead and attack the server from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.

Fixed the counterstrikes from the last rounds, thanks for the heads up.

The waitress does not follow orders, but instead whips out a knife and crouches, ready to strike.

Round Three Kitchen Fight

Docken fires on the waitress, but she darts forward and slices at his arm, ripping through a small amount of skin.

"This plan seems too late, but I can still do what I need to do."

And then, after a few rounds of combat, the events of the kitchen became public!

Before-First-Jump

As Lord Hinckwell lingers by your face, he whispers in your ear.

ac8eba2e-b42f-4089-a50d-44543aed6de3_zpsfa60e676.jpg

"The man wearing all black is named Samuel Shawe, and is a staunch enemy of my family and of the state of well being on Uland. He is an arms dealer who made too much gold on a war that his family started. He is a menace, and cost my family many lives, along with the Lion Knights and the Brobric elves. I would be very happy if he didn't leave here tonight. Alive, that is. He can leave here dead. I'll of course reward you for your kind deed - I think 200 gold should do it, and of course my family will hold you in a much higher regard!"

"Well now, that is a very interesting proposition, sir. I think I shall have to see how the evening pans out, but perhaps I can see what can be done. No promises, mind you. I'm sure you won't mind if I talk to the 'gentleman' in question? Information is key, after all."

As Madame Ladybug gives you a stiff awkward hug, she whispers a few things in your ear.

bc57f124-fe6d-4c6f-9890-4c72d0319db9_zps01ec321d.jpg

"Dear, I'm afraid I'm going to have to impose on you. Doc Daneeka simply refuses to give me this new technology he's developing. The Ji Pei handed him off the work of a short dwarf named Moronis after his invention burned to the ground and one of his investors pulled out. Moronis' machine was meant to gift everyone with ether, but Daneeka has reverse engineered it to the point where it can suck ether out of people, and turn it into raw energy. The Guild is very interested in it, but Daneeka does not want to sell it, saying it is a prototype and wouldn't sell it anyway on ethical grounds. If you somehow end up in his office and see a device that looks a little bit like a torch with an orb at the end, bring it back to me. I'll give you a mead, smelling salts and dragon scale for your trouble, and of course the Guild will be in your debt."

Madame Ladybug lingers for another second.

"And I'm only telling you this as a friend, but that Lord Chauncey, whatever else he claims to be, is a very dark wizard. Be careful of him."

"Madame, that is a truly tempting offer, it really is. But I am a guest of Master Guffington's and I fear he would not take kindly to me stealing from his staff. I can make no promises, I'm afraid, and I doubt I would gain access to his office. If, however, I come by the device, then I shall certainly bear your generous offer in mind."

Nyx nods solemnly and respectfully as the hugs ends.

"I appreciate your warning of Lord Chauncey, thank you. Perhaps we have something in common, he and I?"

Lady Marsh leans in.

9b671df3-f0c8-46c1-84a6-7b33ec493811_zps63a817ea.jpg

"This Heroica. You do jobs for people, huh? Sounds like a fine organization. I've actually got a job I'd really like done. If you'd be so kind as to sneak into Lady Felix's room at some point, I know for a fact that she has a lover's locket that she isn't using. I'd really appreciate it. I'd be willing to give you 50 gold coins for the job."

"That's a generous offer, I shall certainly consider it." Nyx smiles.

OoC - what happens when/if time rewinds again? Are the last offers now null and void or could I still make good on them? Will this offer no longer be valid if we rewind time again?

First Jump

Nyx steps into the kitchen and is greeted with a grisly sight. The chef, with a number of significant gash marks, lays in a puddle of blood on the floor. There is no easy way to cover it up.

Just as she has finished taking stock of the situation, the door opens and the servers walk in. Their happy chatter is cut off quickly as they take in the sight. Thomas' face turns pale, and the blue creature leans down to examine the body. The female stands rigidly, eying Nyx.

"I think I'm going to be sick," Thomas groans. He makes his way to a corner where he averts his eyes.

"Dead."

a7eb3688-b54d-4a24-a756-596c6656c62b_zps8f323750.jpg

"Thomas, it will be alright," the woman wheels on Nyx. "What is the meaning of this? Who has hired you?"

b6a7ae89-0e8c-40ae-b6f8-78f30b182008_zpsca95386e.jpg

"We have to go warn everyone."

990315a5-3196-439e-ac5a-f070b94e2ff9_zps82e9219b.jpg

"No, Thomas." The blue creature's eyes dilate as he stares down Nyx. "Let the human female explain."

Nyx looks up, a conciliatory expression on her face and her palms open to try to calm the servers.

"Uhm, hello everyone. Firstly, it wasn't me. I didn't kill him, but I can really understand you're a bit.... shocked right now." she tries a small, plaintive smile.

"I'm not here to hurt you, but I'd like to explain. I believe the chef was killed because he was actually a well known poisoner, and he was part of a plot to kill Master Guffington." she pauses, taking stock of their rections.

"I know you don't work for Guffington, at least not more than just for tonight, but he hired you to try to give you a helping hand in the hovels, so I hope that you have a little bit of loyalty to him, just a little. I'm only here to help Guffington and to protect him, and to try to get to the bottom of who's trying to kill him. I could really use your help. Please guys, what do you say?"

Nyx looks pleadingly at the servers, yet mentally prepares herself for all reactions.

The female server looks at Nyx severely, but then shrugs.

a7eb3688-b54d-4a24-a756-596c6656c62b_zps8f323750.jpg

"We'll play along."

b6a7ae89-0e8c-40ae-b6f8-78f30b182008_zpsca95386e.jpg

"Are you insane? There's been a murder! We have to go warn everyone!"

990315a5-3196-439e-ac5a-f070b94e2ff9_zps82e9219b.jpg

"But if there is a conspiracy as the human female says."

b6a7ae89-0e8c-40ae-b6f8-78f30b182008_zpsca95386e.jpg

"But we only have her word on it!"

990315a5-3196-439e-ac5a-f070b94e2ff9_zps82e9219b.jpg

"We must let things proceed. It is as the human female said."

b6a7ae89-0e8c-40ae-b6f8-78f30b182008_zpsca95386e.jpg

"We have to at least warn Guffington! If the chef is dead, then the plan is failed, isn't it? Why don't we tell him now?"

Thomas, tired of arguing, makes a break for the door. The blue creature lunges, trying to catch him, but misses. What does Nyx do?

Nyx bars the door with her body, knowing her barbaric strength will keep her in place, but not yet locking it.

"Thomas, I do not want to hurt you, any of you, but until I say otherwise, nobody is leaving this room." she looks Thomas in his eyes, carefully examining him. "I have been told there's a back up plan for Guffington's assassination, so currently the aim is to let things play out and see what happens. I need you to help us, for Guffington's sake."

Nyx looks determined, and her stance shows she will not move out of the way.

b6a7ae89-0e8c-40ae-b6f8-78f30b182008_zpsca95386e.jpg

"I will go warn Mr. Guffington!"

The faun charges Nyx. The other servers watch - the female with slight boredom, the blue creature looking on with interest, seemingly having an internal debate.

"What now?"

OoC: I tend to update stats between quests.

Nyx looks at the softly snoring faun, and rolls her eyes. Clearly she thought putting him to sleep would be the end of it.

"Uhm," Nyx shrugs at the serving girl "well, we could tie him up maybe? But it seems like he won't just stop unless I find a way to stop him. One way or another. :sceptic: "

Nyx looks around for any way to safely and permanently restrain Thomas, but should she find none she attacks with Darkness magic through her Standard from the back row. Twice, if necessary.

OoC: Just a future suggestion, then.

Nyx looks around, but there doesn't seem to be enough rope anywhere to tie up Thomas. Swallowing bravely, Nyx attacks the sleeping faun.

Round Two Kitchen Hostage Situation

The servers do not seem particularly disturbed by their fellow employee's death. The female sighs sadly, but the blue creature does not even bat an eye.

"So now we let things play out?"

a7eb3688-b54d-4a24-a756-596c6656c62b_zps8f323750.jpg

"Doesn't allowing things to play out result in Guffington's death?"

Nyx looks carefully at the other servers, but smiles reassuringly.

"Well, yeah, we now wait to see what happens next. Apparently there will be another attempt on his life, which we hope to thwart, obviously." she keeps smiling and adds "Isn't it just awful to think that one of you would have been the one to deliver the poison to Guffington? I think it's horrible that someone just wouldn't think twice about using someone who doesn't even know about it to do their dirty work for them, and I'm sure you agree. Well, that's the privileged for you."

Nyx appears to look interested in some of the bits and bobs around the kitchen, but still carefully watching the servers, and always staying between them and the door. She pauses at one point to place the dead faun in a dignified position, with his eyes closed, seemingly wistful as she looks over his body but also satisfied with her work.

"So, I guess we'd better make some conversation..." she looks at her companions and keeps smiling "Do either of you know any of the dignitaries out there? Ever been to work at one of their soirées? Did you know of Master Guffington before you came here tonight?" she keeps looking, an eyebrow raised, still smiling but clearly expecting an answer.

a7eb3688-b54d-4a24-a756-596c6656c62b_zps8f323750.jpg

"Poison is a coward's weapon," says the female server.

990315a5-3196-439e-ac5a-f070b94e2ff9_zps82e9219b.jpg

"That's the truth of it. It's rare that I run into poison." The blue creatures stares sadly at the faun, and then blinks wetly a few times. He clears his throat. "The hovels are a dirty place, but there is at least dignity in fights there."

a7eb3688-b54d-4a24-a756-596c6656c62b_zps8f323750.jpg

"Everyone knows Guffington," says the female server. "As for the others... I believe Hinckwell and Shawe are the only ones from Eubric. Oh, and the Madame Butterfly. Shawe and Hinckwell travel too often for me to ever hear much about them, and Butterfly - well, you are of Eubric. You know how exclusive the heads of that Guild can be."

990315a5-3196-439e-ac5a-f070b94e2ff9_zps82e9219b.jpg

"Shawe is the only one I had even heard of before tonight. The Shadeaux pay good money for good services, or so it is said."

Nyx nods slowly. She'd spent time around the hovels; hadn't had to stay there, but knew the area and its people well.

"Dignity is important, yes. And I agree, this is a coward's way, but I worry that the next attempt will not be so.. subtle."

She keeps her eyes on the servers, but maintains a conversational aspect.

"You guys have been serving drinks all evening. Surely you must pick up snippets of conversation here and there. Anything you've heard tonight that strikes you as odd? Anybody here seem to hold a grudge against Guffington?"

990315a5-3196-439e-ac5a-f070b94e2ff9_zps82e9219b.jpg

"I keep to myself. That's the professional thing to do."

a7eb3688-b54d-4a24-a756-596c6656c62b_zps8f323750.jpg

"Madame Ladybug and Samuel Shawe have had a heated debate." The woman shrugs. "Lord Hinckwell is also offering people rewards for killing Samuel, but apparently no one has accepted the offer yet."

Nyx drinks the Mulled Wine as she listens.

"That's disappointing, I was really hoping you would have noticed something that would have helped us save Guffington." she sighs, taking comfort in the warming feeling of the wine.

"Thank you for your cooperation." she says simply, moving to leave the kitchen and intending to lock the door behind her.

Second Jump

Nyx steps into the hallway and encounters Lord Marsh rather quickly... the poor Lord is standing with Guts, who has Lifestealer pressed to the man's stomach. Neither man has noticed Nyx yet. What would she like to do?

Nyx casually walks over to Lord Marsh, swinging her wine glass in her hand as she saunters into view. She nods to Guts and turns her face to Lord Marsh.

"Hello there, I see you two are getting along famously." she takes a sip of wine, savouring the flavour, and continues "Lord Marsh, I am led to believe that Mister Guts here is quite accomplished with his blade. I'm sure that if you answer his questions truthfully then you will leave the party with all of your bits and pieces intact and still attached. I would also suggest that whilst doing so that you divulge any and all information about your wife." she smiles sweetly, but the smile is tinged with cold, hard iron.

bfa4cd78-d5b4-4be4-9a01-fe192d8f6eff_zps7c402632.jpg

"My wife... gold in my dresser...?" Lord Marsh gropes for words, but he is flustered and very clearly afraid. "Oh dear. I..." Lord Marsh looks at the ground sadly. "I had hoped that these days were behind her, but my wife has a relatively checkered past. I met her when she made a failed attempt on my life. She was, in the past, a member of the Blue Assassins. I was able to convince her to leave her previous occupation, but its possible that she has somehow reverted back to her old ways." Lord Marsh stares down, ashamed. "Perhaps if you'd allow me to speak to her, I can figure out what's happening."

"You have little regard for your life, do you, Lord Marsh?" Guts says as he pokes Lord Marsh slightly his blade, causing a tiny red stain to appear at the tip of the weapon. The raider nods at the mage. "Nyx, know where Lady Marsh is actually at? Looks like we got an assassin to take care of. Need something else from this creep? I assume you heard the important bits."

Nyx eyes Lord Marsh closely and sternly. An effect only slightly diminished by the effect of the Charissian wine.

"A Blue Assassin? Are they all colour coded? Are there green and yellow and purple assassins too? Don't answer that, it's rhetorical. Anyway, fine, go talk to her, but I warn you that I have had a very long evening and my temper isn't very long at the best of times, so unless you want to seriously piss off a Battle Mage and this Raider here, you'll find out what you can about your wife and tell us. Otherwise Mister Guts here will chop you up into little pieces and I'll burn what's left of you to Hel. Do I make myself clear, Lord Marsh?"

She turns away slightly, to Guts. "She's a bloody assassin. Brilliant. :hmpf_bad: "

bfa4cd78-d5b4-4be4-9a01-fe192d8f6eff_zps7c402632.jpg

"I have high regard for my life," he says snootily. "And you better too, if you want to stop whatever my wife is up to." The Lord grumbles a little. "My wife doesn't appear to be upstairs, unless she is hiding from me, which is unlikely. I assume than that she is elsewhere. Where are we off to, heroes?"

"I do have high regard for your life, as long as you're not a wrong'un." Nyx sighs "Anyway, I have reason to suspect Lady Marsh might be in the kitchen. Don't ask, it's complicated. Guts and I will take you there, but you need to ignore anything else that may or may not be occurring and move directly to talk to your wife. Let us know what you discover when you discover it. Aside from that, as long as you don't attempt to double cross us, we'll protect you as best we can. Which is usually pretty well."

Nyx takes Lord Marsh's arm as if he were escorting her and gently guides him towards the kitchen door, where she knocks on the door, calling out to Hybros and Docken inside. She smiles pleasantly and nods at passing guests while waiting to enter.

Hybros

Before-First-Jump

OoC: I apologize, but this appears to have not sent yesterday. Use your imagination and pretend this came in while you were still talking to Lady Marsh. :sweet:

As Guffington walks away, Lady Marsh leans in.

9b671df3-f0c8-46c1-84a6-7b33ec493811_zps63a817ea.jpg

"You do jobs for people, huh? Sounds like a fine organization. I've actually got a job I'd really like done. If you'd be so kind as to sneak into Lady Felix's room at some point, I know for a fact that she has a lover's locket that she isn't using. I'd really appreciate it. I'd be willing to give you 50 gold coins for the job."

First Jump

OoC: The reason you didn't get a response was because of all the drama that ensued, sorry. But yes, this is still an option.

Hybros steps out of the Dining Hall and runs into Guffington, who simply raises an eyebrow and smiles. He holds his fingers to his lips and slips by Hybros, walking into the Dining Hall himself.

Hybros has to try a few doors until he finds a staircase to the second floor. He ascends, and finds himself in a hallway with a number of doors - two on the right, two on the left. Which one will he try first?

Hybros nods with a grin to Guffington, only half attempting to look lost. In the hallway, he tries the first door on the left.

Wanted to build you something, but am running out of time. So picture will be swooping in tomorrow instead! :sweet:

Hybros enters the first room and discovers a small sleeping area. There is a table, chair, strange circular dresser, and bed. On the table is a heavy looking mace. From the number of dresses strewn around the foot of the bed, Hybros can be pretty sure that this is Lady Felix's room. What would he like to do?

No problem!

"How menacing..." Hybros inspected the mace.

Hybros tries to handle the mace, but finds it too heavy for him. It falls to the floor with a thud and impales itself there. Clearly one must be trained to use such a powerful weapon. He notices that it is perfectly polished. It seems Lady Felix gives it lots of tender love and care.

"Hmm...." He looks in the circular dresser.

Hybros opens a number of drawers in the dresser and finds numerous objects from around the world. A few dragon scales from Dastan, an old rusty dagger, two vials of sand, a petrified scorpion, and finally an object he recognizes as a Lover's Locket.

Hybros swipes the vials of sand, the dragon scales, and the Lover's Locket. He then glances at the table for anything of interest before moving on to try the second door on the left.

Hybros steps into the second room on the left. He discovers a room with a double bed, a more conventional dresser, two night stands, and a desk. The room is clearly being stayed in, but by first glance, Hybros cannot tell by whom.

Hybros searches in the two nightstands.

OoC: Two dragon scales are added to your inventory with their average effects. As for the sand vials, open them up... if you dare.

Hybros searches through both nightstands. The first one contains a number of bracelets and earrings, and the other contains a book of accounts, a play by Stirlance, and a huge satchel. Hybros tries to lift it, but he can't quite. He opens it up to see shimmering gold. He picks up a note on top that simply says:

Second half, take it once the one you've been hired to kill is dead. I know you will be honorable. I have worked with your type before.

Before Hybros can fully assess what he has just read, he hears footsteps coming up the stairs. What does he do?

OOC: Ah okay thanks. I am still Inspired and Lucky from before the time jump right?

Mind racing, Hybros contemplates what to do. He snatches up the book of accounts and throws himself underneath the bed. He hoped his small form would fit.

OoC: Yes indeed. The items are back in your inventory as well. :sweet:

Hybros snatches the book and slides under the bed. He hears the door of a different room open, but can't determine which. The footsteps stop, lift something heavy with a grating noise, and then all is silent.

OOC: Wait, the Nostrum and Mulled Wine are in my inventory as well?

Hybros scrambles out from underneath the bed and puts his ear to the door of the room, leading out into the hallway. If he hears something, he will stop and listen, but if he doesn't, he will go investigate the desk in the room he is in now, as well as the dresser.

OoC: Yes. You are reset to before the time jump in every way except XP and consumed consumables (and gold gained for gold gaining classes, as I'd feel bad messing with that). No one has asked why or how yet, so I've not explained it. :shrug_oh_well:

Hybros scrambles over to the door, but doesn't hear anything moving out in the hallway. He then tip-toes over to the desk, and begins to search it. He freezes, however, when he hears a voice that he recognizes behind him...

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"I didn't know you were staying in this room, Hybros." Lady Felix, it seemed, could move without making a sound if she had to. What will Hybros do?

OOC: Ah I see now, no problem.

Curses. "And I did not know you were staying in this room, either. So what are you doing in here, Lady Felix?"

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"It seems we have a looter on the loose. I have a beautiful case where I keep all my special trinkets, a gift from the wonderful Began Drakes, and it alerts me when something goes missing. Haven't seen anything suspicious, have you? Perhaps you're also looking for the looter?"

"Perhaps we are onto the same person... I heard a door open and a grating noise earlier, but whoever it was is gone now. I was on my way back to the dining hall when I heard it, so I came in here to investigate."

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

Lady Felix smiles coyly. "Very kind of you to investigate, but I doubt the person could have made off so fast if you just heard the noise. I was coming up the stairs, after all. Have you searched all the rooms? I'll watch the stairs to make sure that the looter doesn't flee downstairs, and you can finish searching the rooms. That way, there is no way that he, or she, may escape."

Lady Felix, again nearly soundlessly, leaves the room. When Hybros pokes his head out of the doorway, he sees her standing, mace in hand, guarding the steps.

"That.... sounds like a good idea, eheh..." Hybros goes to investigate the second room on the right.

Hybros walks across the hallway and into the new room. It is similar to Lady Felix's, without, of course, the magical dresser. A single bed, a bed-side table, a dresser, and a desk with a chair. On the desk is a huge pile of old books, all of which look well read. Hybros glances outside. The sun will set in a few minutes at the most.

Glance... outside? Hybros quickly takes note of the titles of the books being read, then quietly opens the window and slips out, attempting to make his way downstairs without being seen by Lady Felix.

This is why little pictures would have been helpful. :sceptic: Still working on it!

Hybros glances at the titles of the works. A number of them are in different dialects of Elvish he can't decipher, and some seem to be in a language he doesn't recognize at all. He can make out a collection of Stirlance plays and "A Summoner's Art" by Penville.

The window is a simple little slit, more for archers than for people to climb out of. Even someone as small as Hybros can't fit through.

Ah well I tried.

Finally, Hybros exits the room, making sure that Lady Felix is still by the stairs, and enters the final door, the first on the right.

Hybros confirms that Lady Felix remains where he left her. She gives him a smile and nod. He enters the final room and finds it perfectly made-up, same as the rest. The desk has no books on it, the bedside table has no candle. The dresser, when opened, has no cloths. Hybros can determine with relative ease that this room has no occupant.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"Find any looters?" Lady Felix calls merrily from the hall.

"Hmm..." Hybros looked around thoughtfully, before replying to Lady Felix. "No, I am afraid not. But I repeat, I heard a grate open. There is someone else up here. Unless that was you..."

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"Perhaps you heard me pick my mace up off the floor. Someone small must have dropped it while they were snooping around my room. They took a few other things from me as well." Lady Felix smiles, but Hybros senses a icy fire beneath it. "Hybros, would you mind emptying your pockets?"

"...umm, yes I would actually. Very personal stuff in there, you see, eheh... now if you will excuse me, I have to get back to the dining hall. I am at this event for a reason, you know." Hybros attempts to slide past Lady Felix.

OoC: You drank two nostrums, one before entering and one after, so one will be missing from your inventory.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"I'm afraid I can't let you go, Hybros. I worked hard to obtain my trinkets. I'd like to hold onto them."

Lady Felix brandishes the mace that Hybros picked up earlier, and stands at the head of the stairs, blocking the exit. "Have at you, little imp," she says with her tired romantic voice, and smiles tenderly at the thought of battle.

"I apologize Lady Marsh, but you are not the enemy I seek tonight." With that, Hybros flees back to the dining hall.

Lady Felix watches as the small imp ducks and dodges under her and flees back to the dining hall. Hybros quietly slips back into the room, wondering what he will do when she catches up.

Second Jump

Hybros follows Guffington at a safe distance, and finds that the old man has gone to a small gatehouse right next to the front gates (remember, the Manor is surrounded by a tall wall and then very small gardens). Guffington cranks a crank, and a clicking noise can be heard that clearly signifies that bolts within the gates have been locked into place - anyone outside would be hard pressed to get in, and anyone inside, unless they know where the crank is and what its function is, would have a difficult time fleeing.

Hybros nods, and returns to the dining hall.

Guts

Before-First-Jump

As Guts walks away from Marsh and glances down at the card he gave him, he sees a quick scribbled note. The Raider raises an quizzical eyebrow and gives it a read.

Speaking of brokering deals... a friend of mine is quite interested in a book that I believe is currently gathering dust in Doc Daneeka's study. It is an old tome in an old language that neither you, I, or he would understand, but a friend of mine would very much like to get his hands on it. If you happen to acquire in at some point in the evening, I'd be more than willing to pay you 400 gold for it.

"Anything for the right price," chuckles the old cook. Then he notices Guts and raises an eyebrow. The woman spins around and smiles happily.

The lady gives a slightly forced smile, but it seems sweet. "I'm simply curious as to how the kitchen in Eubric works. I have rarely left Gull before, and I am excited to see some of the world. Clippard has served in many kitchens."

"Excuse me," says the server, and she exits with two glasses of wine. The door makes no noise behind her.

The raider raises an eyebrow. He picks up one of the glasses standing ready to be brought out to the party. Deciding to not deal with the man's insolence, for now, he continued:

"Why is there a chef? The only things being served are drinks."

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"Spiced wine needs to be prepared. Which I need to be getting to right now, actually. If you wouldn't mind too terribly," he nods towards the door. Lady Marsh smiles kindly and leaves. Will Guts follow?

"Actually... about that. When the time comes drinks are send out, I want you to make sure Guffington gets served this, instead of spiced wine." The raider pulls out the second bottle of Charissian Red. "It's sealed, so there's no funny business with it. Just get it done, if not, we'll have a problem. Also, I want you to bring the cup out personally. I know it's not your job per se, but I could not care less. Got it?" The raider says the last words in an intimidating manner.

The cook holds the wine in his hand. "That's against Guffington's orders, but I'll see what I can do..." The Cook turns to a chopping board, and then whirls back around. The bottle of wine soars past Guts' head and shatters behind him. The cook tosses a few mushrooms onto the floor as well, and they all stare down Guts.

Guts should have done 4x damage to Clippard (encouraged and Darkness gem), also Guts shouldn't be immune to weakening with the gloves unequipped.

"Consider the threat repeated." Guts states coldly, after finishing the drink he had in his hand when the combat started, mowing down all the mushrooms, and stumbling back into a combat stance, the raider smirked, drunk combat, he hadn't unlearned it. He quickly moved in to attack Clippard three times from the front row, if Guts gets damaged, he takes a health core right after, if he gets poisoned, he takes a remedy right after.

62bddd60-53a4-4902-8ba2-7dd935c911f8_zpsdec68f3a.jpg

"No one will hire me after this. My prestige will plummet. The name Clippard will no longer be associated with the best of poisons!"

Time: 8:14

NOTE: Items listed in gray will DISAPPEAR from your inventory after the time jump.

Guts is alone in the kitchen. Clippard lays in a pool of blood, bits of mushrooms around him.

Guts mumbles: "No one will hire you if you're dead either." The raider sighs, and pours himself a new glass of wine, drinks it, then looks through the things. He drinks the Nostrum, Mead and Smelling Salts he found on Clippard, and eats the Tinyshroom and the Growshroom. The rest he just places in his pack, for now.

The raider then searches the body for any poison, any notes or anything else suspicious. He also checks the cupboards and ingredients for any poisons, more mushrooms, anything useful or anything suspicious.

OoC: Added your gold from the second round. Also, I'd advise making sure that you note on your hero statistic page the shrooms, as they are easy to drop/forget as they don't remain in your inventory!

Guts gulps down the shrooms and his concoction.

Guts yanks open a few cupboards, but finds nothing. He then searches Clippard's body. He finds a very very small vial of liquid he does not recognize - assumedly the poison - and a note. He picks it up.

Your contact will be at the party. I have told them who you are. They will pay you the appropriate amount - 500 gold. In your line of work, you understand the need for secrecy. There is a back-up plan if you fail, but we cannot tell it to you. If you would be compromised, fight or flee. The plan will go into motion if Guffington is not dead when his lips leave the cup.

The raider leaves the Kitchen.

....some time later...

Guts steps into the hall. Standing, facing him, is Lady Felix.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"Come to offer an explanation, have you, Guts? Your friend Hybros has been misbehaving."

97044e91-b3a8-4b3b-95c7-412bd3ca9efe_zps626f4568.jpg

"Excuse me, my lady, but I have to go grab a book from my study."

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"Of course, Daneeka," she says smoothly, and he disappears down the staircase that leads to his lab. "Speak quickly, Guts, I would like to get my hands on that Hybros and teach him a lesson about pick-pocketing. You must be quiet if you're going to attempt it."

"Hm. I'm sure this is all but a misunderstanding. What exactly happened?"

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

Lady Felix smiles coyly at Guts. "And you'll be playing council and jury, then? Not a member of the town watch, are you? I love Eubric because of its joy in rough and tumble justice. Hybros took something that belongs to me. There was no one else upstairs, and no one else could have gotten into the house. Guffington locked the gate behind you. Besides, I just want to rough him up. Hybros seems the type to be able to take it, and it will ensure he doesn't attempt it again after my trinkets have been returned to their proper owner." Lady Felix smiles devilishly. "Don't make me cut my way through you to him. Don't you know there's no honor among thieves?"

"I wouldn't know. I am not a thief, my lady. Hybros assured me he did not take anything. What do you claim he has taken?" Guts casually places his hand on Lifestealer. If he had to, he would defend Hybros with his life, even if he was holding stuff back from him.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"He has in his possession a Lover's Locket, a few of my prized dragon scales I recently received, and a few jars of sand from the Abra desert. It simply couldn't have been anyone else. What do you say, Captain Holla? Shall I give him Hel, or shall I give you Hel first?" Her manner seems strangely jovial, there is no malice, simply a playfulness.

The raider sighed. "Do you really think he carries those things with him? You are mistaken. Think this through." Guts put intimidation behind the last words.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"You first then?"

Lady Felix whips a particularly nasty mace out of her dress and flies with surprisingly nimble footsteps at Guts.

Health: 652/1234

Special Damage: Pilfer – Steals a consumable from the hero’s supplies and uses it.

Passive Special: Genetic Regrowth – As a Selkreeth, Lady Felix has incredible powers of cell regrowth. On all rounds that are multiples of three, Lady Felix will regain 200 health.

Passive Special II: Selkreeth Mace - The Selkreeth carry a special kind of mace. All rolls for damage deal the "bleeding" effect.

Drops: Nothing

Time: 8:43

56 x2 x2 (224) And Guts should no longer be bleeding, as being healed to full health removes bleeding.

"Hm. Those tentacles of yours grow back. But I bet it hurts, doesn't it?" The raider grins as his own wounds are healed by him crushing and swallowing the Health Core. His weapon left nasty black frostmarks all over the Selkreeth. "Just give in to the cold, it will be over faster."

Guts once again attacks from the front row, if he is damaged by the first round, he takes a Health Core on the second.

OoC: Multipliers are my bane, but you did stop bleeding, I just forgot to remove it next to your name.

Time: 8:45

OoC: I didn't get as far into auto-rolling as I thought I would.

Guts barely notices the commotion coming from the courtyard, more so from being hit in the head with Lady Selkreeth's Mace. He quickly takes a Health Core, and continues the attack.

Second Jump

Lady Felix leads Guts upstairs. They stop at the top, and she turns to him.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"Captain Holla, you'll have to forgive my secrecy. My line of work, well, it demands it. That necklace you have around your neck, and the one that you lifted off of me... I am the reason for those." Lady Felix smiles softly. "I am a thief. Those all belong to Dastan. When Daneeka began developing this new time jumping dodad of his, Gerald asked me to find some. He wasn't overly pleased when I told him how I came by them. He's made me swear to take them home after we've finished our party, and I shall."

"Those necklaces are essential for your time jumps. They are what allow you to keep your memories. The serum that Daneeka gives you transports your bodies back, but those Amulets make sure that your mind comes along for the ride. Gerald asked me to track down five - for the heroes and Daneeka, I'll assume - but I couldn't help but take an extra. It was just lying there with the others, and they do look pretty, don't you think?"

Lady Felix sighs. "I'm guessing you're trying to figure out who killed Gerald. If you are, my services are entirely at your disposal. Gerald has been a friend for years. I once tried to steal from him. When he caught, he just laughed, thanked me for the experience, and let me live. I'd like to repay the favor. Besides, I have a soft spot for the old fool."

"Hm. No surprises so far. What's so important about some jars of sand, a locket, and some dragon scales that you'd want to kill one of my companions?"

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

Lady Felix smiles cunningly. "Well, the same reason you were willing to kill me. It wouldn't stick, would it? But chances are that once I knocked this companion of your's off once, they'd not steal from me again. Same as I won't go trying to fight you. Now, tell me which one it was. The Imp? Or did the young lady break down and try to get a necklace off me?"

"None of them did it. I am certain. Don't make me prove it again. The necklace and scales are worth a bit of gold, I am sure, but what's with the sand?"

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"You killing me doesn't prove their innocence, but I'm not worried about it. Even without killing whoever the culprit was, I have no doubt that it won't happen again. The sand are just little vials from a trip I took to the Abra Desert. I had a petrified scorpion from the same trip, are you sure they didn't take that as well?"

The raider raised an eyebrow: "A thief collecting worthless sand? You did not mention the scorpion, but I am certain none of my colleagues had any of your things on them before we jumped, don't push the matter further. Perhaps we should check out the rooms, see what you can find, it might be connected to the murder."

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"I can't steal from that which has nothing." Lady Felix shrugs. "I also enjoy trips. The Abra desert was for my own pleasure. I may have stolen a thing or two from Cathargo on my way out, but those may or may have not been sold on to pay for passage later on. As for the rooms, that one on my right is my own. The Marshes stay next to me. All the way down on the left is Lord Chauncey, and then the one closest on the left is empty for the time being. We can begin wherever you'd like."

"Yours."

Guts, followed by Lady Felix, enters the first room and discovers a small sleeping area. There is a table, chair, strange circular dresser, and bed. On the table is a heavy looking mace. From the number of dresses strewn around the foot of the bed, Guts can be pretty sure that this is Lady Felix's room. What would he like to do?

"Open up the dresser." Guts looks around, looking for anything you wouldn't normally find in a lady's bedroom. "I'm guessing you're more of a breaking and entering than a sneaky kind of thief... Are the locket, scales, and jars of sand there? And the scorpion?"

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"I do a little of both," she says with a shrug. She walks over to her dresser and opens up a drawer, shivering a little and then nodding. "All present and accounted for."

"Odd." Guts walks over to double check, then signals Lady Felix to check the next room, the one occupied by the Marshes. "So what was the arrangement you were talking about with Guffington? You're obviously already staying here, so that wasn't it."

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"I arrived yesterday only. I negotiated a few extra days. We were talking about payment for the Amulets." Guts checks the drawers and finds everything as described. Lady Felix drifts out of the room and Guts can hear her open up the door to the room next door.

"Hm, what was the payment?" Guts follows. "The doors aren't locked?"

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"Why lock your door? No one here suspects that anyone else is as wily as them, so they have nothing to fear. And the payment was gold, Captain Holla. Same as yours."

"In other words, anyone could enter. When did the Marshes arrive? Help me search the room." Guts looks around the room, in particular for the gold and the note Hybros found.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"Before me, but only by a day, I believe."

Guts heads to the bed and discovers two nightstands on either side. The first one contains a number of bracelets and earrings, and the other contains a book of accounts, a play by Stirlance, and a huge satchel. Guts tries to lift it, but he can't quite. He opens it up to see shimmering gold. He picks up a note on top that simply says:

Second half, take it once the one you've been hired to kill is dead. I know you will be honorable. I have worked with your type before.

Guts tries to mentally compare the handwriting with the note he found earlier, and also tries to determine how much gold is in the satchel. Guts searches the satchel with his magnifying glass, and looks around the room for anything useful.

That done, he searches the other two rooms for anything useful or helpful or related to the incident.

Guts' memory does not fail him, and the writing here matches the writing on the note earlier eerily well. It was either done by an expert forger, or by the same person. There is too much gold to take out and count, but it is certainly somewhere around 500 or 600, if not more. A quick search with his magnifying glass yields no results in the bag. It does, however, illuminate a strange liquid at the bottom of a glass on the other nightstand. The glass appears to have been emptied of its contents the night previous, with only the remains of the drink still drying at the bottom.

Guts steps back into the hall. Which of the two rooms would he like to investigate first?

Guts takes the glass. He goes to the room that was supposed to be empty next, signalling Lady Felix to follow him.

Guts enters the supposedly empty room and finds it perfectly made-up, same as the rest. The desk has no books on it, the bedside table has no candle. The dresser, when opened, has no cloths. Guts can determine with relative ease that this room has seen no occupant of late.

"Right, next, Chauncy's, right?"

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"I'm following your lead, Captain," says Lady Felix happily as Guts brushes by her and steps back into the hallway. Guts opens the final door to reveal a room similar to Lady Felix's. A single bed, a bed-side table, a dresser, and a desk with a chair. On the desk is a huge pile of old books, all of which look well read. Guts glances outside through a small slit of a window. The sun will set in about ten minutes.

Guts instinctively checks if he still has all of his stuff after Lady Felix brushed by him. Even though he was constantly called a Rogue for some reason, he had never perfected the art of pickpocketing, but that did not mean he was unfamiliar with their methods. Then, he systematically searches under the bed, the bedside table and in the dresser and desk for anything useful or sus picious, finally, he quickly flips through some of the books, looking for anything standing out, or a general theme of the books.

Guts checks his pockets, but everything seems to be there. Lady Felix gives him an innocent but mischievous smile.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"Still don't trust me, Captain Holla?"

Guts searches through the room with the help of Lady Felix, but neither finds anything out of place. In the bedside table he does find a Diamond Lamp of Summoning, which he pockets quickly.

Guts then glances at the titles of the works. A number of them are in different dialects of Elvish he can't decipher, and some seem to be in a language he doesn't recognize at all. He can make out a collection of Stirlance plays and "A Summoner's Art" by Penville.

Having completed the search of the rooms, Guts and Lady Felix step into the hallway. They are about to descend the stairs when they hear footsteps below.

5f057924-84e7-46b5-8b4f-dc62c39ef980_zps82ba12da.jpg

"What's the plan, Captain?" asks Lady Felix, spreading her legs slightly, looking ready to pounce if need be.

"Pretend I just told a funny joke." Guts states. The raider then proceeded to lean against the wall and act as if he was having a vivid conversation with Lady Felix.

Lady Felix gives a relatively convincing laugh as her body relaxes. Lord Marsh enters the hallway at ease, nodding thoughtfully to Lady Felix.

bfa4cd78-d5b4-4be4-9a01-fe192d8f6eff_zps7c402632.jpg

"I didn't know anyone else was up here," he says merrily. He turns to Guts. "Forgive me, I don't believe we've met yet. Are you a friend of Lady Felix's? Have either seen my wife, she seems to have misplaced herself."

"Guts Holla. I haven't seen anyone else up here. Can I help with something? I was going downstairs. My Lady, if you'll follow me?"

bfa4cd78-d5b4-4be4-9a01-fe192d8f6eff_zps7c402632.jpg

"No, that's alright. If you see my wife, tell her I'm looking for her."

Lady Felix links arms with Guts and leads him down the stairs confidently. The duo hovers by the door of the dining hall. OoC: You can go in if you want to, just didn't want to force it on you.

...some time later...

As Guts steps out of the Dining Hall, he runs almost directly into Lord Marsh.

bfa4cd78-d5b4-4be4-9a01-fe192d8f6eff_zps7c402632.jpg

"Hello there, Guts," he says casually, and glances around curiously. "Headed to another part of the mansion? I'll admit I've hardly had the time to explore it myself."

"Yes. I'm sure. Found your wife? Lord Marsh, I must admit to not being aversed to mixing things together, you've seen my blade, my equipment. I use mixtures and potions to my advantage as well. Now give me a clear and quiet answer, why is there a potent love potion on your wife's dresser?" Guts moved his head down to the man's waist, where Lifestealer was pointing at the man's belly. "Clear.... And quiet..."

Lord Marsh goes pale and blushes - an interesting combination, to say the least.

bfa4cd78-d5b4-4be4-9a01-fe192d8f6eff_zps7c402632.jpg

"I don't know why we have to mettle in marital affairs so violently," he says miserably, glancing down at the blade. "You'll have to believe that I woo'd my wife as a man should, with grace and cunning, but..." he pauses and looks down, "in recent years I've started to grow worried. I travel often for my job, and leave her, most of the time, at home and Gull. I'm afraid that distance is tearing us apart, so a few years ago I took precautionary measures to ensure that she remained at my side. I don't think she suspects. I hired a doctor to tell her that it was a medicine of sorts, for a sleeping condition she had, and I've been buying the potion from him ever since. I mix it with real sleeping draught too, so it's not even an all out lie."

"Pathetic. What is your reason for coming here? What is the book you want off Daneeka?"

bfa4cd78-d5b4-4be4-9a01-fe192d8f6eff_zps7c402632.jpg

"What is- what is my reason for coming here?! I was invited. I am a guest," Lord Marsh says, getting a little flustered and huffy. A knife towards most people's stomach would probably evoke said attitude. "As for the book, I met a man who asked me for it. It is against my policy to give out names of clients, but he said Daneeka couldn't read it, but he would be able to. I didn't see the harm in it."

"Policies or your... guts, pick one. The name."

Lord Marsh stares hard into the eyes of Guts, and seems, for a few moments, like he will not break. His courage finally deserts him, however, and he looks down sadly.

bfa4cd78-d5b4-4be4-9a01-fe192d8f6eff_zps7c402632.jpg

"The name is Hewayrt. I'd never met him before. He travelled with a strange fish-like man. I don't know if it means anything to you. I met him on the ship over to Eubric."

"Hm. One last thing, what was up with the gold in your nightstand."

Lord Marsh's face goes a little bit paler, but goes even paler as a familiar mage appears behind Guts.

"And you better too, if you want to stop whatever my wife is up to." He shrinks a little at Lady Nyx's statements. "I've never liked magic," he whimpers to Guts. "I've always been more of a knife or alchemy sort of person. Oh, and I never got the chance to talk to Madame Ladybug." He raises his voice to a normal value, still wincing slightly from the knife in his stomach. "My wife doesn't appear to be upstairs, unless she is hiding from me, which is unlikely. I assume than that she is elsewhere. Where are we off to, heroes?"

"She must be in the kitchen, it was locked down. We'll get it open. Move."
