If we want to reduce violence in LEGO city, maybe we should just give the police guns. Seriously, these "researchers" have no lives. Stop bashing LEGO, and maybe bash violent video games or movies where characters actually shoot people.

Yup, I thought that the article about this "study" would light a few fires and bring out some serious humor....and it did! Great to hear different points of view!

I really like changing heads on all of our many minifigs...it changes their personalities and gives them individual identities. It makes playing with them more interesting because their stories get more detailed and complicated due to changes in their appearances.

Now if we could just get more variation in the faces of the non-yellow heads, it would make it much easier to build scenes using other skin colors without smiley faces most of the time. The shades of brown are wonderful for minifigs and would be even better if there were more facial expressions. It is hard to build beautiful darker females using using (an expensive) Lando's head with facial hair, and I am not into changing facial expressions on LEGO heads. Cheers!

The only thing I saw was: ''Legos''... That says enough about the writer doesn't it? He probably has no idea what he's talking about. :hmpf_bad:

I think Lego is trying to make the expressions more realistic because I think it would be a little bit weird to see The Incredible Hulk with this face :classic: or a thief who has been caught by the Lego City police with this face :classic: and a drowning person who is being save by the Lego City Lifeguard helicopter with this face :classic:. You'll probably know what I mean...

Actually that would be hilarious. It'd be like on South Park how all of the Canadians look alike, even though one of them is known as Ugly Bob.... Plus, I like the classic smiley. Granted, the numerous facial expressions are great too.
