Tezclatipoca Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Wow ! That's a promising build ! And yes ! We are still in the Guilds to build ! I am particularly curious to see what will be the Nocty civil war and how it will lead to book 3 ! Quote
LittleJohn Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Looks great so far Ecc! Can't wait to see the whole thing Quote
dathil Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 What does the new book mean, in fact? Does it allow you to subscribe to another guild, or does it bring a whole bunch of storyline, or.. what does it do? :D Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 What does the new book mean, in fact? Does it allow you to subscribe to another guild, or does it bring a whole bunch of storyline, or.. what does it do? :D When Book II began, you were allowed to switch guilds if you wanted, and there was a whole new story-line too Quote
BrickCurve Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 The next book is in the works and that always gets people who don't do free-builds a lot into building again. I'm working on something again that will be displayed at brickworld Chicago. It's good to see you all are still liking the whole project! I wish I was going this year... Oh well, you will probably do something amazing for next year as well. Enjoying the project? If it wasn't for GoH, I don't know if I would have got into Lego community. Two years on and I've never looked back! What does the new book mean, in fact? Does it allow you to subscribe to another guild, or does it bring a whole bunch of storyline, or.. what does it do? :D New storyline and a chance to switch to Kaliphlin! Quote
dathil Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 nah, my love is with these harsh norsemen. My collection doesnt lend to mediterrean architecture. if I HAD to switch it would be nocty, but nothing lets me deliberately leave Miitgardia :p Quote

It is indeed GoH that kept my dark ages away! And no, not to Kaliphlin... Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Yes, Come join the real Guild down in the Darklands! Quote
TitusV Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Yes, Come join the real Guild down in the Darklands! I did not mean your assemblage of outcasts either Quote
LegoEomer Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Yes, Avalonia is the best guild. Here is a brief summary of the guilds. Avalonia: Arthurian legends, castles, knights, magic, forests. Pretty much everything you want in a medieval fantasy world. Kaliphlin: Sand. Mitgardia: Snow. Nocturnus: Swamps. Quote
Exetrius Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I did not mean your assemblage of outcasts either Diversity will always outshine unity, no matter how you look at it! Yes, Avalonia is the best guild. Here is a brief summary of the guilds. Avalonia: Arthurian legends, castles, knights, magic, forests. Pretty much everything you want in a medieval fantasy world. Kaliphlin: Sand. Mitgardia: Snow. Nocturnus: Swamps. I want to react to this properly, but I'm tired atm... zzz Quote

TitusV Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Kaliphlin: Sand + Jungles, and Sand Worms, and a huge bridge* Nocturnus: swamps + colourfull trees, and vermin (rats) Quote
Exetrius Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Nocturnus: swamps + colourfull trees, and vermin (rats) ... and mountain ranges, bizarre cities, awesome tribes, labyrinths, abyssal lava fields and only the strongest of warlords, wizards and warlocks! That, dear friends, is Nocturnus! *evil laughter* Quote
gedren_y Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) Kaliphlin: Sand + Jungles, and Sand Worms, and a huge bridge* Bird goddess worshipers, centaurs, and all manner of diversity (a little more of the spectrum than Nocturnus). Edited June 9, 2016 by gedren_y Quote

That, dear friends, is Nocturnus! *evil laughter* You mean: ...and little hills, bizarre hamlets, mediocre tribes, things were people get lost, hot swamp and only the worst of warlords, wizards and warlocks! That, dear Avalonian, is Nocturnus! *something similar to chickens chuckling* Quote
Exetrius Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 You mean: ...and little hills, bizarre hamlets, mediocre tribes, things were people get lost, hot swamp and only the worst of warlords, wizards and warlocks! That, dear Avalonian, is Nocturnus! *something similar to chickens chuckling* Fair enough, all of those things exist in Nocturnus as well! Quote
LegoEomer Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) "Mountain ranges": Little mounds Bizarre "cities": Small bizarre groups of houses. "Awesome" tribes: Groups of random outcasts who call themselves a tribe. Labyrinths: Confusing roads Abyssal lava fields: Warm swamps "Strongest" of warlords, wizards and warlocks: Peasants who own a few acres of land, wannabe wizards, and supposed magicians. Fair enough, all of those things exist in Nocturnus as well! They exist in Nocturnus as the only things. Join Avalonia next Book. We are the best guild! Edited June 9, 2016 by LegoEomer Quote
Rogue Angel Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 I was going to join Mitgardia or Nocturnus until I saw that Avalonia was home to the Elves. Then my fate was sealed (not that aren't Elves in every Guild). Kaliphlin was too unforested and deserty for my liking. Quote
BrickCurve Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 (edited) Kaliphlin also has the wither woods, waterfalls, islands, volcanoes and even a snow topped mountain in the middle of a desert! Kaliphlin: Sand + Jungles, and Sand Worms, and a huge bridge* Which huge bridge? Edited June 10, 2016 by BrickCurve Quote
gedren_y Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Kaliphlin also has the wither woods, waterfalls, islands, volcanoes and even a snow topped mountain in the middle of a desert! Which huge bridge? I think he was referring to Queenscross. Quote
BrickCurve Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I think he was referring to Queenscross. Oh, of course. Has that bridge been built yet? I can't remember seeing it, though I wasn't around in book 1. Quote
Mike S Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I took it as the unnatural land bridge that connects Ulandus to the Kaliphlin mainland.... Quote
