Endgame Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 "In some very rare cases, but most people don't like to talk about those. So, in other words, Mr. Sunshine. Go away or I will beat you right back into the afterlife. I'm sure hell has a nice, warm vacancy for wonderful folks like you." Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted July 9, 2013 Author Posted July 9, 2013 "I was caught off guard once and imprisoned. Do you really think me so foolish as to let it happen again" Quote
Tachyon Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 OOC: I could use my consumables on Romulus and we could just have him attack the wight as he has the only light weapon. If the wight starts chanting and we end up inflicted with doomed, I'll use my remedy so he'll remain safe and we can hope that he defeats the wight in time. Quote
swils Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I believe that any elemental weapon is able to damage an undead. Additionally, Grimwald can heal the Wight to damage it. The biggest danger is having the cart be afflicted with Doom or damaged in an AoE, but yeah, Doom. We could always just smoke-bomb out and see where that gets us. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted July 10, 2013 Author Posted July 10, 2013 QM Note: Whoops, it would appear I one piece of loot from the previous fight. Endgame, if you could hand it off to someone. Neutralizer - Removes all temporary effects from all allies and all opponents. Costs 50 gold. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 "Och, an oogleh-boogleh! KILL IT!" Grimwald, obviously spooked by the wight, fires a healing spell at it from the back row. Quote
Tachyon Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 OOC:We could have Grimwald make the wight frail and then just buff Sorrow who then goes on to kill the Wight solo to prevent any extra damage to us. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 OOC: Good idea. Grimwald finally gets a hold of himself and attempts to cast frailty on the Wight from the back row. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 "Let me and Sorrow do it. I can deal a lot of damage with the meteorblade, and together we could do it a lot faster." Quote
swils Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Readying his Thundering Totem, Thormanil attacks the Wight from the front row. Quote
Endgame Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 "Someone dump a mead on Romulus, he'll get a x4 multiplier." I down a Smelling Salts and attack the Wight, back. Order: Mizuki Thormanil Grimwald Sorrow Romulus Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted July 10, 2013 Author Posted July 10, 2013 QM Note: Just to clarify in case there was any confusion. When the purge effect says it neutralizes all temporary effects, it means ALL temporary effects, for everyone. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 "Only attack him if lucky, so me and sorrow." Quote
swils Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 "I'd argue that yer gonna waste yer Nostrums that way. If he ain't chantin', we've got a decent chance to lose all buffs. If he is chantin', we've got two rounds to buff up Grim (Salts, Mead, Nostrum) and have him heal the 35 damage outta the wight with relative ease. Even if he somehow manages to land a Doom curse on us, we've got 3 whole rounds afterwards to clear it and use the Neutralizer." Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 Results of Round 1 of Wight Fight!: >Mizuki - Nostrum on Sorrow Thormanil vs Wight - Damage (30 - 3 = 27 dmg) Grimwald - Frailty on Wight (Success) >Sorrow - Smelling Salts >Sorrow vs Wight - Gold Reaper/Aim No KO, No Gold Stolen >Romulus - Nostrum >Mac - Nothing >Cart - Nothing Purge - Failure Most of the party decides to take advantage of the verbal discourse to dope up on stimulants, while Thormanil makes a lunge towards his prey. The wight easily sidesteps the telegraphed attack and cuts a deep gash into Thormanil's left arm with his scythe. Sorrow tries to loot the pockets of the undead monstrosity, only to find the beast has no pockets "You only prolong the inevitable!" Wight, Level 30 Undead *Immune to Insta-kill and Stun* Fragile *3 Rounds Remaining* HP: 750/750 Special: Chant - The wight begins chanting an ancient curse making incorporeal (Immune to elemental damage) for 2 rounds. Condemned - If the wight manages to successfully complete his curse (is incorporeal for 2 full rounds) he will inflict doom on the entire party. Distraction - If the wight receives a total of 35 damage while incorporeal, he will break his chant and return to a corporeal form.
