If there are people in Belgium around here, I found today the blu-ray at Carrefour in Kraainem for 20 €.

The DVD (15 €) and 3D+blu-ray+DVD (30 €) versions were also available.

And for all versions, they offer the minifig !

Ah I just bought it like an hour ago . No Vitruvius for me then. Time to get my Lord Business' Evil Lair set.

The fued is over as far as I'm aware. Target, Best Buy, Kmart, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble all have it listed for sale. Methinks it isn't an exclusive everywhere...

With that said, I don't know if I can justify $35 for the blu-ray and figure (I have no interest in 3D), vs $18 just for the blu-ray. That figure may go for a lot in the after market, but is he really worth $17 just for him?? All I really want is his head anyway.

What are everyone's thoughts?

I don't think the disagreement is settled. The movie wasn't offered as a preorder at all. My preorder from Wal-Mart actually got here just a couple hours after Amazon sent out the e-mail alerts for those who didn't get in before the original preorder was shut down.

I was rewatching the movie today, and I noticed a few errors.

There are no studs on the top or bottom on the sloped pieces behind Emmet.

Secondly, when Emmet first appears around a corner in Bricksburg in the Construct-o-Mech, Unikitty and Wyldstyle can be heard cheering, when their mouths aren't moving at all.

Anyone else notice any movie goofs? These aren't big, but I just wanted to point them out.

Well after waiting a while I finally bought the DVD and watched this film for the first time with my family yesterday. I loved every second of it. I was so worried it was going to be a flop or wouldn't live up to the hype that's been going on. But after watching it, I have to say I'm glad LEGO managed to pull of such a great film! The movie itself was beautiful and I loved the brick styled water as well.

Question though, was this movie actually done in stop motion or was it all digitally done to look that way?

Digitally. Except for, you know, that one part.

Also, the end credits montage (when "Everything is Awesome" plays in full) is stop-motion.

I love that end credits. Very well done. :classic:

Also, the 'meet me upstairs in 10 seconds' '10 seconds later' is real bricks.

Already posted this in the set topic but it fits here: One thing I thought was really cute: in the last scene when Emmet and Lucy are holding hands, Benny flies around Uni-Kitty and they hug. Awwwww. Bennikitty fans unite! :grin_wub:

Also, Phil and Chris' minifigures are in that scene.

Anybody thinking about purchasing the LEGO Movie Everything is Awesome Edition? I might, but if anybody could tell me if it's worth it, that'd be awesome.

I purchased it and did a little review of it

. I think it's totally worth it!

Totally spring for it. It's awesome, pun intended.

According to the Blu-ray commentary, some of the backgrounds (i.e. the cityscape behind Emmet when he's about to call the cops on Wyldstyle near the beginning) are real, while the characters are digital.

So this is out in the UK on iTunes now which is great, but does anyone know if the DVD or Blu-ray versions (in the UK) will have a minifig when it's released on the 21st?

I recently watched The LEGO Movie in HD, pausing to catch a lot of easter eggs. Here are some I found:

Reveal hidden contents

That's just a handful that I can remember. There are lots and lots more!

^ Hehehe, never noticed all of that! Great finds Aanchir!

Oh! I forgot a funny one that I actually saw before the movie came out (in a teaser clip). The dry cleaners that Emmet goes to before the movie is called "Torsos & Legs Dry Cleaning".

Looks like we could have more sequels... I just hope they're other animated films or spinoffs (LEGO Space Movie?).

Uh, not to talk about making films for other companies, what about the rumored Ninjago movie and possible films for other unused themes?

I'm a fan of TLM, but we need TLM2 to determine how good a sequel can be. Spinoffs sound nice, but when we talk about spinoffs, it usually reflects on "the main story", which is against the idea that there could be many things going on at the same time in the LEGO omniverse. And if there would be more LEGO movies based on single themes or a certain characters, I hope each of them could show the connections with the TLM.
