Athos Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Here is a MOC I've been working on. I'm thinking about taking it to bricks by the bay, so I'd appreciate any suggestions for improvement. http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/sets/72157634202483003/ Steve Quote
andhe Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Looking nice so far. I'd recommend adding something to those roofs though so they're not so studdy. Minifig hands often work well as thatch, or there might be similar techniques that would add a bit of medieval greeble (mediegreeble? if that's not a term, I'm claiming it right now). Quote
Missing Brick Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Please could we have a plain text link for ipad? I just see a big black unclickable square when I view the post above on my ipad. Thanks. (I don't browse on my PC anymore - too many javascript viruses about ). Quote
Deathleech Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 (edited) I agree with andhe, some more details on the roof to hide all the pegs would help a lot I think. Also maybe make the gray roof tan like the others? The gray is kind of glaring in that spot. Here are some great MOCs by other members for some inspiration: http://www.eurobrick...79358&hl=edoras http://www.eurobrick...76877&hl=edoras And here are two of my favorite versions: http://www.eurobrick...69127&hl=edoras http://www.eurobrick...l=+golden +hall Edited June 19, 2013 by Deathleech Quote

Missing Brick Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Thanks for the link. Looks great! Couple of improvement suggestions: The DBG roof might look better in another colour; Dark brown? Maybe dark red? Also, maybe one of the small buildings could be angled using jumper plates to get a more natural off-grid look. Quote
