Erynlasgalen Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Welcome back to Day 10 of our journey around Kaliphlin, we have seen many great wonders and people so far but I know one thing everyone is missing. You have absolutely nothing to bring back to show anyone in your home countries of the wonders of Kaliphlin. We cannot possibly send you home without something, so our next stop will be at the Amrakect Market, where you can fill your bags with exotic souvenirs. A word of caution from your very helpful guides- while most people of the Siccus Badlands are very friendly and welcoming to strangers there are always a few bad seeds in the bunch. Please be watchful of your purse strings as you explore the market and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Most of all- make sure you are back to your camel before the sun dips behind the wall, we don’t want to leave anyone behind when our journey continues. Quote
Infernum Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Wow! Very nice and detailed! Love the pig's fence! Great work! Quote
Wedge09 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Great work, awesome  You captured perfectly the spirit of the market Quote
Covi Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Wow, this is just wonderful! I really like what you did with the flags! I also really like the atmosphere created by putting everything so close to eachother. On a real market everything is always really packed together. Quote
Kayne Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Beautiful Eryn! This captures the spirit of Kaliphlin perfectly! Quote
Mike S Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Love this! Perfect Kaliphlin market atmosphere here! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Another great addition to the tour! The market seems very lifelike. I like the close proximity to everything. The flags are neat. The sand feels very realistic. I like the random chicken hanging out and the fenced in pigs. You definitely created a good scene here. Keep up the good work. Quote
kabel Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Beautiful moc Erin, your definetely on the way to become one of my favourite builders!! Quote
SkaForHire Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 So cool!!! My favorite piece has to be the cyclops eyeing up breakfast! The flags are a really neat idea, and the wall cut-aways are perfect. SOOOO GOOOD.... Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I like all the wares for sale! Seems very busy. Quote
Maxim I Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Wow!! You created a very cool atmosphere in here!!! I love this!!! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Lovely market scene, looks absolutely Kaliphlin as well The stands and numerous figs/animals add to the hustle-bustle feel of the scene Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Great job, especially with the 1x1 rounds in the wall by twos like that, that's a really great idea that I might try out one day! Also love the flags and the business of the MOC! Quote
Gideon Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Wow, this is probably the quintessential Kaliphlin atmosphere you have captured here! Just perfect in the overall build and all those lovely details, I don't have a clue on what to start commenting on...there is just so much to like :) Quote
robuko Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Beautiful composition. I really like the camel's head and the flags, they give a great sense of motion. Quote
TenorPenny Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 There's a lot going on here, and yet it looks very well put together and not untidy. Well done..! Quote
ZCerberus Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 It looks so active! I think you nailed the feel on this one. Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 It looks so active! I think you nailed the feel on this one. Definitely! I also like the middle eastern feeling it has, great job. Quote
Kayne Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Marvelous Eryn! I love the feel this build gives off! Quote
de Gothia Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 My favourite part is the broken wall to the left! I don´t why but it just complete the moc! The stands, flags and posings are of course great but that wall is special! Quote
Str0ngbad Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I also love the cut-away walls. I'll have to try to work that into something as it really does up the presentation value a lot. I love all the details hidden throughout; the diver's helmet and the chihuahua to name a couple. And did you cut that Lego string with grips. *gasp* Haha, just kidding. I'm a LEGO butcher myself. The string of banners that you fashioned with them really made the MOC. Quote
Silver.Smith Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Because no one has mentioned this yet I would like to point out the excellent usage of lighting in taking the photo, I believe you have successfully captured the feeling of a sun-baked desert market. Nicely done! Quote
