September 30, 201311 yr I too must applaud this! Very nice job of transferring the iconic ship into Lego bricks.. The thin neck between the engines and the front part of the ship is surly no problem in the weightlessness of space , how about in your model? Was it a big problem? Does it hold the weight without careful support? (can You swoosh it ??)

Does it hold the weight without careful support? (can You swoosh it ??) It can be swooshed when holding at the neck - this means a bit of greebling will fall of though So the neck is sturdy enough, however the model will bend a little bit when lifted at the middle of the neck neck only - the front and back weighs a bit
October 14, 201311 yr Wow... great job man. I love the attention to detail and proportions, very well done! Would you mind telling me where you bought your bricks? Brian
October 15, 201311 yr Very, very cool :-) A few years back I was (semi)seriously proposing a group build of a minifig scale Nebulon B... yes, that does work out as huge as you think it would, about 19ft long I seem to recall? This is about the best model of it I've seen made.... looks very much like it could be a UCS model, very cleanly designed and assembled. Want one :-) Ben

March 28, 201410 yr This is really incredible, i love it. Reminds me of the epic End-Sequence in Episode 5, where Luke and Leia stand on the Window and the Millenium Falcon sets off from the Frigate. Too bad this will never be made by Lego, at least not in this size. How long did the construction and building take you? Is there a chance to get the LDD file so i can build this awesome model myself? This would be epic!
March 28, 201410 yr Incredible! Absolutely love everything about it. The greebles look very nice and my favorite part is how you shaped the front.
March 29, 201410 yr Wow. That is a thing of beauty. Easily one of my favorite SW ships and you recreated it beautifully!
April 14, 201410 yr Hey mortesv, This is a beautiful creation. Next to Akbar's cruiser, the nebulon frigate is my favorite ship in Star Wars. Maybe it was from flying around them so often in the old X-wing PC game:) Anyway , I would gladly pay you a reasonable fee if you would be willing to share the instructions with me. I'm new to custom lego, so I don't really know the etiquette, but I would not share it or do anything other then to build one with my son. Thanks for your time, and congratulations on the beautiful model.
April 15, 201410 yr Sick moc, what strikes me the most is the nature of the ship being more vertically challenge makes this build very unique and stands out from a lot of other mocs you normally see posted that are more horizontally proportioned spaceships. For some reason the color scheme and aesthetics reminds me of the slave which i like a lot. Great work, props to you sir
April 18, 201410 yr Perhaps you've already seen this, but I just found this page on etsy that has a pretty cool blueprint of this ship. (I am in no way affiliated with this seller) http://img0.etsystatic.com/036/0/7966563/il_570xN.557746766_mhwd.jpg
April 25, 201410 yr Well Mortesv, I hope you are still picking these comments up. I only saw this when it came to the front screen again, but wow. Seriously WOW. I love looking at the artistry of someone creating such a masterpiece. I can only imagine just how long you spent on this but was fun and what a result. You can be rightly proud of your efforts. This truly is the biz. Just great, and do post back if you have started anything since...
April 30, 201410 yr Author Thanks for the nice comments guys :) I have actually added a bit more detail to the front of the ship and changed a few discreet things since these pics were taken. If I get my hands on a camera I can post pics of the tweaks here :) Right now I'm building the new Sandcrawler - which I'll mod a bit in an attempt to address some of the play-set looking parts of the set :)
May 2, 201410 yr Amazing work! One of my favourit ship`s in RotJ and a project i will build far years ago! MUST have for my UCS collection . Have you the LDD files? markus
June 29, 201410 yr Hi Sir, i see your fantastic MOC... it possible to buy instructions? thank you bye Giovanni
February 10, 201510 yr Hi Mortesv, I've been reading your MOD posts (10221 in particular as I've just finished building my own) and I was wondering if you were willing to share any of your LDD file(s) for this frigate? It looks great, and I'd love to see 'under the hood' and see how it's put together! voxynn
February 10, 201510 yr I would buy instructions in a heartbeat. Been huge fan of this moc for some time. I think it's up there with Cavegod's ATAT.
February 10, 201510 yr I'd also buy the instructions for this. Is there any sort of index or sticky that shows where to get/buy instructions for these kinds of models? I know that there are instructions that you can buy for an AT-AT, from Cavegod, and a Venator. But I don't really know what all is available, other than that. February 10, 201510 yr It would be cool if Lego had a Lego Ideas for Instructions service. They could take all these hugely popular large sets that reach 10,000 votes but aren't viable as an official set, and make purchasable instructions for them. The original designer just provides the LDD file and once they finish it, people could just order it online. Be great for Mortesv's Nebulon.
