The boat in question is not available in the States after checking on www.LEGO.com, so the buyer maybe from the States or any other place that does not currently carry it. That is the best reason other than an all out bidding war. >:-) DB

I know that TRU, and target have exclusive sets that are only avaible at those stores. This is probbly one of them.
