Need Help on a Bomb vessel.

I'm thinking about making a vessel called a bomb. If you don't know what it is, go to Wikipedia and search " Bomb Ship ". It should take you there.

How do you make the Mortars? I was thinking with an airport engine, what do you think?

Also, Could you guys show a picture of your ships deck? I don't know how to do it. :-/

I think the airport engine is too big, but YMMV.

The mortars on my two current bomb ketches are garbage cans. The most recent is the Bloviator. My first bomb ketch, the Fantine was originally armed with a 4x4 round mortar, but has since been rearmed with a pair of 2x2 mortars (sorry, no pics available of the new configuration).

Here is a mortar me bro designed. This can also be found at the MOC cannon index. I too would like to build a bomb in my fleet, and this is how I plan to build my mortar.

Then i've never tried to use that brick for a motor before.

Hmm, i wonder how it'd turn out. I think i may try that when i get home tonight.

If you're speaking of the x-wing engine, i tried it with making a (very large) carronade:

It turned out ok. :-/

I don't have AOL because I've heard its not a very good provider, as you're clearly demonstrating :-D

I almost signed up to AOL once (yes, they even extend their evil clutches to the other side of the world) but I was talked out of it because they weren't very good. That was 6 years ago now, obviously things haven't improved much.

By the way, Since Bomb's have less cannon's, I was thinking of putting only one gun on there, but that would be an even match with some sloops I want too build, and I still need to make the Imperial Flagship fearsome! 8-|

By the way, what do you think about putting guns on the main deck? that would make IF four SES 8, but can you mount more with the Renagade Runner? Or the Crossbone Clipper? ( Gives Mr. Phes a good stare. ) :skel1:
