I just got off the phone with Customer Support, since I wondered about the "Customer Support" order status that my order was stuck with, getting worried since everything that came up when googling was about fraud prevention.

However, the (Swedish) CS rep told me that the sets (she told me they had 5000, but I saw someone else here mention 4700) were sold out just five minutes past midnight (I stupidly didn't ask about what timezone, got a bit shocked by that info). A bit odd since it didn't even show up until about 12:30 or 12:40 am CEST... (Therefore, I guess she meant midnight GMT.) They had two people manually going through all the orders to make sure everything is alright (due to the uniqueness of the set, hence the mentioned order status). Should be done in a few hours, according to the CS rep.

I hope me browsing through some other lego sets after 41999 showed up (ended up ordering a 9392 as well) didn't cause me to lose the order... I got my confirmation mail at 1:08 am CEST, but I definitely did order before 1:00 am CEST (don't know exactly when, but I saved a PDF of the order summary at 1:00 am, according to the timestamp, and I know it took me a few minutes to actually think of doing so).

*crossing all possible fingers*

(First post for me, I hope I didn't do anything wrong.)

"Out of stock, expected ship date 22 Aug 2013"

... maybe at this rate the set will be on stock at the end of the day :P The problem is, I don't have time to check every hour the updated delay time.

Does anyone know if LEGO sends the order as soon as they have them or if I order the item now, I won't get it before the date stated on the order (20. August)?

My order status changed from 'Customer support' to 'In process'. Looks promising.

Same here.

For me it's due to the complimentary LEGO® Galaxy Squad Mini Mech. The crawler is still on backordered, obviously.

What time did you order it? I did it at 0:30 GMT+1 and mine is still in "Customer service" mode...

When everybody is complaining about those resellers us AFOLS should maybe avoid shops that list these sets early for a high price. Only using our power as customers will make them change their mind.

Those of you who refuse to pay ridiculous prices at eBay, Bricklink etc. should do that, and show those sellers that at least some of you are too clever to get fooled

Just called S@H orders that were placed before the 'out of stock' message appeared and that got a confirmation e-mail will be sent in the next few days. Mine got through already.

The guy on the phone said orders got in like crazy!

i got the email to confirm my orders but it's still in customer service :\

For those of you wanting the dark blue panels and beams or the silver beams: they are not in the parts list at the Lego site... I don't think you can order them separately...

Man it sold out fast if they are all gone already :( Hopefully i can get one at a "normal" price. Will check around today.

Ordered at 0:45, few minutes after it was on the site. (Not sure if it is GMT +1 or -1, Im not good at converting timezones)

so it says out of stock but you can add it to the cart, so can you still get it?

If you want one, just try it and see what happens. They don't charge you if they don't send one.

I got the same message and I've already got my confirmation.

So sad, I can cart it but they can't ship it to my country! The more we discuss the more hype it'll be! Hope to receive my gift soon....

My status just (well, in the last 5-10 minutes or so), shifted to "In process". :excited: As said earlier, I placed my order some time between ~12:50 and 1:00 am CEST.

Hope it's going well for the rest of you as well. :classic:

Hi from Germany,

I've ordered two hours ago and 'my' 41999 is backordered until Aug, 22.

I called Customer Service if there's any chance to get it earlier.

They told me next orders will be backordered until Sept. 5th and I can be very happy to get one.

This Set will definitely be SOLD OUT today. That's what the Lady told me on the phone.

Ordered at 0:45, few minutes after it was on the site. (Not sure if it is GMT +1 or -1, Im not good at converting timezones)

London is at timezone 0. + goes to East, towards Asia, - goes to West, towards USA.

Europe has GMT +1, so that's where you're at.

Sold out on the first day! Dont underestimate the Technic fans!

I am willing to bet 1/2 of the 41999 crawlers were bought by people who are not Technic fans and have no desire to build the model... I personally know 5 people who bought 2 of each of them with the sole purpose of reselling...

I am in no way surprised that this sold out so quickly...

My order status is changed from 'customer service' into 'in progress', so I think my order is placed well an I'll eceive my set within a week or so.

Altought, I still don't have received a confirmation e-mail, so I'm not sure. :sceptic:

Good news everyone...my status just changed to "shipped"!:wub:

So it was a good idea to place the order in the middle of the night.

I'm hoping that it will be a general release sometime in in september close to when the current ship date. :cry_happy::excited: If only to stick it to all those who bought sets hoping to sell with a huge profit. Which at the moment seems like it will work.:sick::cry_sad:

Not to sound negative, but I doubt that LEGO will re-release this set over the next months. Just think about it - why in the world would they mass produce a set which is all but guaranteed to annihilate the the sales of the 9398 Crawler? Not to speak that at the current price levels the profit margins on 41999 must be significantly lower than on 9398 because of all the exclusive parts and hand-packaging. 41999 is a great marketing tool for Technic helping to stir up interest in the brand, but that's where the buck ends, I think.
