no, i do not think they expand the limit of 20000 units. They would break their word. This would decrease the interests in any upcomming "special limited edition".

I think they produced "10000" at the moment or have just this 10000 ready to ship. In late August the rest will be produced or ready to be shiped.

I've just had confirmation that the backorder sets on S@H are indeed part of the 20.000 sets produced, so they will be exclusive and I have also been reaffirmed that only 20.000 copies will be made of this set.

It would be strange to release more than 20,000 sets. Still, the BL prices are ridiculous. Those sellers should be banned. Last time I looked the cheapest price was €300

So I just got the mail, that my boss was shipped (I ordered around 08am yesterday). Happy days :)

I think the best thing for Lego to do would be to sell 41999 expension or upgrade sets so that people who have the 9398 sets can upgrade their current crawler(or ones that want to buy a new one and add the expansion kit)... This could include all of the needed parts(and wheels) along with instructions and stickers... I cannot see them selling 2 versions of the same thing competing against each other with one having many more parts(including an extra motor) for the same price...

There is no rule - I have ordered mine at night on 1st of August - 0:33 CET (almost 8h earlier than you) - and it got marked as "Backordered" even though they have charged my credit card already :/
