Arfman Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Well, I placed a second order this morning for a friend, and got a mail it was out of stock. So I guess you ran out of luck SheepEater ... Quote
Daniel-Technic Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Been reading thread and most were on-line order but have anyone bought one from any lego store? I got mine from lego store in watford after work. £139.99. Quote
Blakbird Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I'm an idiot. I didn't buy any last night at midnight from S@H when they were available because I figured I would save myself the shipping and just pick one up at my local LEGO Store this morning. I went there as soon as they opened and they say they didn't get any of them. Quote
GDomino Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I'm from California and ordered one at exactly midnight my time (west coast, PST) and s@h said it was still in stock. I didn't realize that it probaly went in stock at 9pm my time because we are 3 hours behind New York/east coast. I did receive a confirmation at 12:34 am PST notifying me of them receiving my order and another email at 12:38 of the "out of stock" variety and "will ship later". I checked my order status online by clicking on the link and my order status shows "In Process", 41999 on "back order" with the freebie mini mech "in process". Does this mean I have a set reserved and will be shipped later? Just to not be totally bummed later on if they don't fulfill my order, I am preparing myself to be S#!t out of luck - because of not realizing that midnight USA may have actually meant 9 pm my time. Effing timezones! Quote

jadedomg Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 It says out of stock but I think you can still add it to your shopping bag. I did add one to my bag and ordered it, if I get it great if not oh well. I still have a few bricklink orders to replace the chassis of 9398 from red to black and outside of the 6 orange panels the rest is easy to find. It is a great set and would of liked to get one for sure but its lego and part of the fun of lego is how flexable you can be with it. The instructions will probably be released soon if they aren't already and if people missed out on the limited set/new colours they can still create it with other parts. Quote
GDomino Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 That sucks! Where are you located? It was actually online at about 8:30 PST But you might be able to get it at a store. Nah, I won't even bother. This has been all kinds of crazy and I don't want to drive to the nearest Lego store only to be rejected again. it's all good though, I have two 9398s and I think I can just build this version in black once the instructions comes out.. So no real skin off my back. Quote
gmshades Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 With all the problems online, I'm happy my father went to the Lego store in Victor, NY. He grabbed 2, and 3 more were on the shelf at 10am est when they opened. Now I gotta get myself home so I can build it! Good luck to those that ordered it online. Quote
FuzzyBallz Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) So being a worry bug, despite ordering 10 min after the item going live, I called customer service to confirm I got my order in. They told me theyre still verifying the orders. Oh man, the wait and anticipation is killing me! Ps. The item went live at 830pm PST on the west coast. Edited August 1, 2013 by FuzzyBallz Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Well if they're all out of stock I wonder if my local Lego store got any? :( A new one just opened in Scotland so when I get the money I think I'll go have a look... Quote

SheepEater Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) If LEGO is not sure that they can fulfill all orders that were already placed, then why does it still say USA & Canada "Out of stock, expected ship date 16 Aug 2013" Europe, Australia: Out of stock, expected ship date 22 Aug 2013 With all of them being available to add it to their shopping cart? Marckeyh Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I just got the confimation email from LEGO, that my 41999 was send out. Happy day! Quote
bsze Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 gave them a call just now. they oversold the 41999 and even if u place an order now with ""backorder" u will not get one. they just didnt update the system in time to not take any backorders for this set. Quote
zux Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I just figured out our local LEGO branded store (no official TLG stores in LT) still has 1 set available. I had a chat with shop staff and I was informed they had received 2 of these sets. I didn't buy the set as secured mine already. I didn't tell them but I wasn't happy that this particular store had my contacts to let me know if they'll be getting 41999 set, however never received a call. Oh and price tag is 200 Eur. For those who isn't sure if their online order will be successful I suggest to have a look at other than TLG shops, as they may receive few sets. Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) Well Lego just made £2,799,800 in less than one day... [edit] I really hope they make another batch! Edited August 1, 2013 by MrNumbskull13 Quote
merman Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) Meaning it's very lucrative to do more such sets in the future... Edited August 1, 2013 by merman Quote
shaggysanchez Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 My order which I placed at 11:55pm Eastern time last night has just went from in process to shipped if that helps anyone who was ordering in that time frame. Quote
Defaultsound Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 If they can't do the backorders will they refund us? Because I don't want to pay £140 for a Mini Mech Quote
Krize Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I thought that the safest way to get my hands on the boss is to be as early as possible at my local store. A staff member told me that they will get 19 sets in total spread over a week! There were just two other guys intending to buy one of the 41999. This crawler is absolutely stunning! Love the colour and the rims .Best looking technic set ever. Btw, for those who already own a set, are there some interesting license plate numbers? I don't have a special number, except there's a 54 year old guy who has birthday on 14th of april . Quote
antp Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) If they can't do the backorders will they refund us? Because I don't want to pay £140 for a Mini Mech They charge de credit card only when shipping, so if they cancel the order afterwards they won't even have to reimburse you as they would not charge you first. At least I think it is how they work for BE/FR area. Edited August 1, 2013 by antp Quote
