I went on S@h (way too late) and it said it's out of stock, but will ship on the 16th. Does that mean I have a chance, or is it a lie?

Ordered last night at 9pm PST ( Midnight East Coast USA) and received email confirmation at 9:27pm. Today received email at 3:47 stating it has shipped. Originally planned to buy at local Lego Store in the Los Angeles area and tonight at around 8pm final stopped by. They had sold all of them! So glad that I ordered online! Looking forward to getting my hands on it. This is my first Technic set, finally branched out from Modulars and Star Wars!!!

I ordered 2 at about 8:00 a.m. CET.

At the time I made the order, the shop was already showing "Out of stock" and, after few hours, I received an email saying the set was in "backorder status".

Yesterday, in the afternoon, I checked the status: the free mini-mech was in "In Process" status, while the crawler was in "Backordered" status.

...surprisingly, this morning the crawler status changed to "In Process", so I hope there will be some chances I'll receive my sets! :sweet:

I bought mine at 3.00AM (2 hours after launch). Received a mail last night they are currently out of stock and will arrive later. Don't believe anyone in the Netherlands have had their item shipped already. Begin to wonder if they were actually IN stock in Europe. What I also find weird is that you can still order them, while I think they should be all sold by now.

I bought mine about 0.31 when it came online and received about 01.08 the confirmation mail but my order says still on process. Hope they send mine today.

I think the dutch people are not getting it... I ordered mine 25minutes after i went online. Made the payment and it stated in process. I got an email this night around 3:47 stated that its out of stock and that it will ship later this month. Ill have to wait and see if i even get one.

They are on bricklink already for 250euro tot 555euro. Crazy.

They can't lie. It may be a mistake but it won't hurt you to try it?!

My order got back ordered now as well. Either they had problems with regulating the orders (counting the number of orders or something like that) or they just need time to ship 10'000 parcels.

My set is shipped from the Netherland (Zwolle), and has to come to Belgium! Thats not cost effective, is it? :wacko:

Mine is on its way. Just realized: I had 300 VIP point redeemed, but should get 164 new VIP points from my 164.99 order. These new points don't show up on my account...

Mine still in progress. Not shipped yet. And i ordernd 5 min After it appeared online in the Night at the german site.

Any German people here, who had their Set being shipped?

I'm from germany and ordered at the same time as you but my order is not yet shipped.

I placed one order for 41999 & BBTF at most 20+- mins after it went live (EST-US) and another, same order, around noon 8/1 (knowing it had already gone on backorder). I have received two (now 3 as of a few minutes ago) confirmation emails for both orders, but only the second was followed by a(2) emails saying, "we're sorry, but the item(s) you've selected are on backorder and shipping will be delayed". The first is still "in process" with no "backorder" on it's status... I'm now a bit worried about the first order since I've received two emails saying the second is on backorder. On the same hand, shipping confirmation always seems to be a few days delayed when I place an order... :sceptic::classic:

I received this on my second order, after ordering this when it's status had moved to "backorder". I can't say for sure what it means, as I don't know of 41999's availability as of now or future, but I think it's their way of saying, "we know what set you want, but this is the best way of informing you we are doing what we can to get one to you", without saying sorry, all gone :look:

My order is stated as "in process" (that's also the status for all its items, including the crawler), but I just got a mail from customer service (answer for an email I sent yesterday about a possible issue with my phone number), stating that "[my] order is complied and will be packed and ship as soon as possible!" :excited:

My interpretation of this is that "in process" status on the crawler item in your order means that you have one reserved (but not yet shipped). I'd guess a "backordered" crawler is in queue, waiting for any invalid orders to be cancelled or something like that.

(Edit: "in process", not "in progress")

That's maybe why BE & NL pay 10 € more: to afford such efficient logistics :laugh:

It was confirmed on LEGO ambassador forum that all those backordered crawlers are indeed part of original 20.000 run and that there will be additional runs and no non-exclusive editions. They also confirmed that set is mostly sold out.

You mean the "Embassy" section? Where exactly was that posted? I don't see anything about this set there.
