Jim Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 You can buy all the pieces from the swedish bricks and pieces You can order them. But getting them is a different story. Can you confirm that parts actually have been sent to you or someone else? Quote
Kronos Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Might be a bit off topic here, but has anyone noticed the seller on Bricklink with 50 sets!? Ha ha! His shop is suspended now. Quote
skriblez Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Ha ha! His shop is suspended now. Good, either a scam or someone cheating the system Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 1 seller with 50 sets? How the hell did he manage to get his hands on so many? He must have cheated the system somehow... good to hear that his shop is suspended. Quote
FuzzyBallz Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 He doesnt have 50 sets. He probably has none and try to scam as many suckers as possible then run off with the money. Glad they stopped his account early to prevent people from being victimized. Quote
antp Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Personally I got the 41999 for the looks and messing with my cats. Same here. I'll try to post a video soon. But I couldn't play much with it for annoying the cats: I should get new batteries. Quote
legosamigos Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Egor, did you try to bulid any model B? Quote
Trawler Man Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I lol'ed. When the dark cat gets scared and does that sideways / backwards leap...i nearly choke out, laughing so hard. Brilliant vid, thank you. And here is the video : Quote
Doc_Brown Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 LMAO I lol'ed. When the dark cat gets scared and does that sideways / backwards leap...i nearly choke out, laughing so hard. Brilliant vid, thank you. Was the white cat offering a peace settlement with the white toy? Then its like screw it, lets attack! Great vid thanks for sharing. Quote
antp Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Was the white cat offering a peace settlement with the white toy? I also wondered why it seemed to associate that toy with the car Quote
jadedomg Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 toys r us Canada has put up the crawler though it shows as out of stock but you can sign up for email notification. http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=22797316 Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 The boss crawler showing who's boss around the house! :P that was hilarious! Quote
750ACE Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Built mine and put my rock crusher xt 1.9 tires on it. I wish this set along with the 9398 had more power. The tires grip but not enough power to get over obstacles. This thing is way heavier than the 9398. At least it looks awesome. Well time to start modding. Quote
jabz10 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) Hi I only just started getting into Technic after purchasing the 8070 Super Car. I then saw the 9398 4x4 Crawler which utilmateley led me to this forum to learn about the 41999 after reading through 34 pages of this thread I thought I must try and get one. Being this late I thought there was no chance I would be able to pick one up as the I am in New Zealand and the online store showed out of stock. BL and Ebay had them for well over twice the price! I emailed and Lego SH, Lego Australia answered and said there little chance of then getting more stock .. I was about to give up hope when I saw an NZ online store (mighty ape) advertising it for end of Sept delivery and taking pre-orders. I promptly put an order through. However in the back of my mind I didn't think it would be filled. I went to a Toy world store during the weekend and they hadn't heard of the 41999. Just this morning I saw Mightyape remove the preorder for the 41999 so I called them and they informed me that the supplier said it is discontinued. I then decided to call Lego NZ number on their website, after nuermours attempts to get through (some guy saying he's on holiday and to leave a message for Lego to contact me), I then found the NZ office number I called, and was told that yes they have some come through just this week and that a few of the Toyworld stores will have stock shipped overnight!!... I called the same Toyworld store (Sylvia Park) they said they have 10 instock now! I have 1 reserved for me to pickup later tonight.. cant wait!. Edited August 27, 2013 by jabz10 Quote
Paul B Technic Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I called the same Toyworld store (Sylvia Park) they said they have 10 instock now! I have 1 reserved for me to pickup later tonight.. cant wait!. Lucky you, I hope you enjoy it. I only just started looking at this set over the weekend but I was far too late to the party and have no chance of getting on at a decent price :( Quote
jabz10 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 and have no chance of getting on at a decent price :( Hey Paul how about calling your Lego Office in Aus? or the Toyworld stores in your city? Most of the NZ suppliers are shipped via Australia so there could be a chance. Quote

jabz10 Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 So being my first technic build, I have little experience in Technic (the Supercar is still in the box) I have a question. I am building the crawler from book1, and am up to the point where it instructs you to insert a 13 hole beam to both wheel axels. I found this severely limits steering feels almost like its twists the pins with the beam attached to achieve steering. I take it this is normal? I know once the gear rack and gear are added I won't be able to turn it manually. Quote

Junpei Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Darn, I wish I had gotten one in time, I really wanted to try my hand at a b-model. Quote
EyesOnly Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Well you could get a 9398 or see if you have the pieces and then collect the extra pieces to make the Boss. Even with the wrong colors it can still be built. Quote
Fatteh Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Built the chassis to the point where it's driveable last night (all the #1 bags). Gave it a quick test this morning driving over piles of shoes and on the duvet covering piles of my children and partner in bed. I had some doubts after reading posts here bemoaning it's lack of crawling performance, but no more. It was really impressive in stock naked form. Will be interesting to see how much adding the sizeable body affects it, and what changing the tyres, battery and final gear ratio do for performance. Good times. Edit: Turns out adding as much weight again above the chassis isn't so good for performance. Who would've guessed? Ha. Gearing down and decent tyres helps, but the naked chassis was still far more capable. Might have to build Yorai Shaoul's Little Boy now. Edited September 9, 2013 by Fatteh Quote
technicman97 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Hey guys! I've built a B-Model for the 41999. Check it out here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/370091 Thanks! Edited September 12, 2013 by technicman97 Quote
