Does watching a Star Wars film inspire you to buy Lego?

This topic is quickly straying into "I hate the prequels" territory...

How could it not!!!

As a fan that grew up with OT that is what I will buy. Dont know if I am with the numbers on this but its how I feel towards SW sets... Given they dont slap UCS on it - triggering my need to complete collections - I stay away from modern SW variants. All that aside I still completely admire most all of the released sets and MOC's but just not inspired enough to purchase... Maybe Disney can inspire me...

Absolutely. Just last nigth i was building my super star destroyer while watching retur of the jedi. Every time i heard the imperial march i felt compeled to keep building.

When building a set I usually have the soundtrack from the movie where the ship/scene/vehicle is seen playing in the background.

After seeing the original trilogy in one go for the first time earlier this year, I 'm realky interested in buying the Millenium falcon. But when I'm close to ordering, I seem to cancel it for some reason. The main reason is I don't know where to put it... I would really like an revisited updated version with the updated figures though. But chamces are slim that we'll get a Falcon with the original crew. I don't want a episode VII crew one :/

Seeing those new Hot Toys Han and Chewbacca does get me back in ordering the Falcon somehow.

Order it now! The Episode VII one will undoubtedly have a different build... and one important visual change (a rectangular, albeit possibly curved, radar array instead of the round one lost in the Death Star II attack), in addition to having EpVII figures (which may be cool)

Watching any SW film (or cartoon) makes me want toys of various characters or ships, not strictly Lego... but I imagine VII will have me drooling over several sets. I really wanna build an EpVII X-wing to compare to my 2012 X-wing and TCW Z-95 Headhunter (and we know there's potential for at least a few X-wing releases, between the blue-trimmed one, the black one with "Red 3"-ish markings on the wings (kinda hopeful that's a Rogue Squadron X-wing), and whatever else was in those drone-obtained photos.
