Greetings, almighty people of the trains! I was wondering if anyone has motorized the TMNT Shellraiser. I know I saw it once with PF. I only have an old 9volt so I was wondering if that was possible and if anyone has done it. Pictures would be nice.

(P.S. would it be possible to motorize the DeLorean? PF or 9volt?)

ShellRaiser? isn't that a Truck not a train?

In the new show it is built from an old Subway car, and is designed to also run on track. So it would not be out of place to turn it into a neat train piece.

interesting the TMNT Shellraiser indeed has train wheels! I didn't know that!

actually that set is quite interesting for train enthusiasts for it's parts!

Well, um....trains use PF....this is the train section......

Well yes, But motorizing a train is different from motorizing a vehicle, which I guess the Shellraiser is both, but I figured you would want it as a car more than a train.

Gosh, I had not noticed it had train wheels either and I looked at it at the weekend as well in the shop. I have to say that I thought it a rather ghastly set that looked like a load of random bit chucked together in different colors. To me it did not look like anything and I was thinking why was it so expensive? True I do not know anything about TMNT or the universe they occupy so was not really able to comment of how accurate it was? Looks from the 360 image on shop at home that the road wheels raise up so it can run on its train wheels! If it was not so expensive I'd get one and try it out, but as it is that expensive and Is quite ugly I won't. Would be interested to see though if anyone else gets one, what is the gauge, can it run on normal train rails or the little narrow gauge ones that have appeared?

If anyone had motorized it, it would be in Licensed Themes. Which is where a topic like this belongs if it belongs anywhere.

So that's where I'm moving it.

Honestly, not having the set, I don't know if the PF train motor would work inside it. You'd probably have to motorize it another way. Not impossible but it would require some ingenuity.

Hey! A few months ago someone posted a heavy MOD of this model here in the train forum that he made into sort of a generic train car w-PF to push various trains around. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

I've never seen the stock model w-PF, but it's a good idea.
