Fair enough, I've got what I wanted. You've given a defence. Unvote:Jessica (Jamesn)

And Beatrice, people want explanations and a defence from you, as do I.

What did you want? Did you want me to defend myself? Why? Is that some kind of test for towniness? Because if it is, everyone knows any scummo can give a half-decent defense, so the test is pointless.

Did you want me to demonstrate that your accusation was unfair and incorrect? I'm so confused by why you unvoted essentially as quickly and pointlessly as you voted.

A defence for what? An explanation of what? And my name isn't Beatrice, it's Bernice.

At first your absence in this town, what are you doing in your spare time when you don´t have time to come and talk with us others.

Second when you come out and say something you put it very short and without contens or nothing relevent.

We want to hear from you more?

And Okay (not ok-ey) it is inrelevent, but whats that with your name, it isn't Beatrice, it's Bernice! What, Beatrice, it is in your signature, Beatrice! :wall:

Unfortunately, I won't be around to read the rest of the day's entries. In the likely case that I'm not around for the rest of the day, I would like to give my vote to someone I trust in case something better comes up.

Unvote: Beatrice Kingsley (Bob)

Proxy: Kenneth Emmanuel (fhomess)

I know, we haven't seen him that long, but I've found his behavior to be that of a villager so far, so I think I can trust him with my vote.

If something better comes up? Okay (not ok-ey) but looking at it now Beatrice and Connie is the best clues to go on now!

It is good that you can trust someone like that this early, i couldn´t and i don´t know if I would choose a guy that has been just around and active this day. He (fhomess) has done some good scum searching but who knows!

I don't get this. There are 29 hours left, and you let someone off the hook with your vote that still hasn't given a decent amount of conversation? And on top of it, to give it to the new guy in town? I understand not being able to be around, we all have jobs around town, but let the vote stick if that is who you feel the most comfortable voting. This 180 seems odd.

It's not like I'm the only one that's voted for her. There are others. Luckily, I'm able to speak though, so I'll be Unproxy: Kenneth Emmanuel (fhomess)

I gave him my vote because I feel like he's actually being more helpful than any of us.

Not really any of us, but quite a bit of is. But the point is, I can speak now. There's always the possibility of something new coming up.

We're in agreement. This is weird - he sheeps me, then turns around almost immediately. Did he realize it wasn't going to bandwagon and not want to be an outlier when voting analysis comes round tomorrow? Michael, you've been acting weird all three days and you've contributed nearly nothing of interest to any discussion.

Unvote: Jessica (jamesn)

Vote: Michael Thompson (Mencot)

At least Jessica has added ideas to the discussion.

I agree on that I was acting wierd the first day, with roleplaying and that i was too busy to stop in and contribute any. But now that I have gotten in to this a bit more, I disagree on that I act wierd, specify how do I act wierd?

What I find is wierd, if people don´t talk/comment at all, comment unrelevant stuff and/or vote just based on nothing and gives no explanation before nor when asked to give one why vote that why, this is some things I find as wierd but you can tell me how I act wierd and I can try to explain why I do it like that!

why should be way in this sentence (*give one why vote that why, )

Are you mixing up Boris with Michael or am I missing something there? :sceptic:

I agree that it's strange how quick Boris is to unvote with few reason to do so, though.

Noticed the name thing too - what's up with that? I assume just goofing around, but not sure. Town roster says Beatrice too.

As for trusting the new sheriff - doesn't the new and old sheriff have to be the same alignment and possible roles? So as for trustworthyness, you have to look at both of them as a whole. I agree the new guy is off to a great start.

Vote Count

Connie Radford (Clanure) - 5 (Capt. Redblade, Scubacarrot, jamesn, Adam, Peanuts)

Beatrice Kingsley (Bob) - 4 (Trumpetking, Mencot, Clanure, LegoDad)

~32 hours until Sunset.

Mod Note: Sorry, was rushed for time and didn't notice your vote (don't put it at the end of your post!!! ). I've said it before and I'll say it again, I will never be anal retentive about the votes.

Weighing in on the two main suspects;

Beatrice is being policy-lynched for lack of participation/lurking/low post count -> IMO day 3 is a bit late for attempting a policy lynch; on day 1 or maybe day 2, I would be all over a policy lynch seeing that evidence and interactions are limited. I am not confident in the case against Beatrice since it has very little basis except that she is laying low.

Connie was originaly being lynched for the same reason; A case has since been made that her behaviour is odd. It's worth noting that Connie was scrutinized very early today and took quite a long time to address any concerns and that her initial answers were basically 'you got nothing on me' and 'I won't say who I'm suspicious of' which are not the most townies of reactions/comments.

Out of these two, if a vote had to be cast right away, I would pick Connie. There is still time for her to come around though; Connie, would you please give us an idea of your suspicions, your reluctance to do so implies (to me at least) that you fear slipping up and reveling your scum buddies in doing so.

SNIP

In fact, Boris, I could turn the "fluffy, under the radar" tables on you.

Why don't you? I was scrutinized earlier for making 'soft accusations' and this to me looks like a soft accusation

The vote was trying to get you to talk more, and when I saw how you responded, I didn't feel confident in voting you as you seemed quite townie.

About the fluffy, under the radar comment. I'd hardly say I was flying under the radar, and I aim not to, as a townie should. I also believe everyone's view of under the radar differs.

As for Beatrice, I don't think she is reading the thread. She obviously didnt see anyone wanting her to talk more, and possibly answer questions, despite several people doing it.

The Magnificent Carletta Emilia Benita Rosita Priscilla Lucia Cecilia Maria Giuliana Roberta Consuela Rosalina Margarita Puerta votes Connie Radford (Clanure).

Connie's unwillingness to share suspects disturbs her deeply. She suspects that Connie has no suspects, because the only suspect she named just so happened to be the only person who had been voted for before her. Seems more like she was jumping on the bandwagon, so to speak, since Beatrice already had two votes. If she really had any suspects, there is no reason not to share them. If suspects aren't shared, how can we do anything about them? :sceptic: She says that her suspects aren't worth mentioning because of a lack of information on them. If that is so, why did she even mention them as suspicions in the first place? Information will not appear and throw itself at you, Connie. You poke and prod for reactions, often in the day thread. Unless you're relying only on night actions, which isn't very constructive. If you're townie, you can do more than that.

I bounced names off Esther to see what she responded to, and she didn't talk to me thereafter. Obviously, none of them was getting lynched, so I went to the list of active players at the front of the topic and just chose one, and that one was Kane. No offense  .

This still bothers me a little. Do you mean to say you did not really suspect the people who you mentioned in private to Esther? I don't understand why you'd choose to vote for for someone arbitrarily rather than someone you actually suspect. It don't make sense to me.

A defence for what? An explanation of what? And my name isn't Beatrice, it's Bernice.

Are you kidding me, Beatrice? I'm just going to ask you this upfront: are you going to be of any use to us at all? If so, when do you plan on starting?

It's not like I'm the only one that's voted for her. There are others. Luckily, I'm able to speak though, so I'll be Unproxy: Kenneth Emmanuel (fhomess)

Wait, is your last paragraph a continuation of the previous one? Are you saying Kenneth has not really been more helpful than any of us? Why did you proxy him then? I dunno, your proxy vote seems a little weird to me. Almost as if you're trying to curry favour with someone you suspect to be a townie. Also weird is how quick you are to retract it once someone calls you out on it.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any suspects yourself? :look: Besides Connie, of course. Because so far in this game of life, you've been playing pretty below the radar yourself.

This still bothers me a little. Do you mean to say you did not really suspect the people who you mentioned in private to Esther? I don't understand why you'd choose to vote for for someone arbitrarily rather than someone you actually suspect. It don't make sense to me.

The point of talking to Esther was to try and find someone worth voting for instead of her, and she just gave up so I didn't feel confident "going through" and voting for one of them. For the record, the list of people I sent her is:

Tristan

Damien

Boris

Connie

Esther was obviously getting lynched but I didn't want to vote for her because I still believed in her, so I just chose someone arbitrarily.

Why don't you? I was scrutinized earlier for making 'soft accusations' and this to me looks like a soft accusation

I won't call Boris out for "fluffiness" because I think that's a gross generalisation when it's applied to anyone, but as I sit back and look at what's going on today, I see:

  • Connie is being secretive and doesn't want to share her thoughts with us
  • Boris quickly sheeped Kane's vote for me and backed down very quickly

In fact, when Boris voted for Esther yesterday, his first reason was a really stupid meta- reason, as if he came up with an excuse to hop on the bandwagon. When I prodded him about it, he came up with further explanation for his vote (and I backed down at that point).

I think, because Boris has voted (how I would say) weirdly two days running, he's worth the vote over Connie.

Unvote: Connie Radford (Clanure)

Vote: Boris Wheeler (The Boy Wonder)

:wall: I fail at parallel structure!

Not sure how much I'll be around, given that it's a holiday here (lots of dancin to do!) so I'll

Vote: Connie Radford (Clanure)

I'm sorta openly bandwagoning here. Connie's constant reluctance to point fingers is worrying to me like many others. I waited hoping anything would happen to get an even better vote option, but nothing has.

I agrees wit everyone. Da new Sheriff is da bomb!

I have similar feelings about the Connie/Boris situation as Jessica describes.

That said, I'm going to Vote: Michael Thompson (Mencot).

I still don't like the way Michael tried to dissuade us from looking more closely at those that avoided the bandwagon yesterday:

Tristan your logic is good but I do think we will find a few (if not all) scum in voting for Esther yesterday, because it was a sweep vote and it was very easy to bandvagon

If not all scum were on the bandwagon, then of Tony, Michael, Esther, and Jessica, I find Michael to be the most suspicious.

Tony: The last part is more of a correction of one of the previous statements. If I thought he wasn't being helpful I wouldn't have proxied him. If you're wondering about the quick retraction, I thought I'd be taking an extra long nap, but I ended up waking up rather early, so I took my proxy back. You can see so if you read the Confirmation Journal. I originally proxied him because I feel he has already done a stronger job scum-hunting than most of us, so in the rather unlikely case something better came up, or a better argument came up, I wanted someone who appears responsible to take my vote, as I wouldn't mind any of the current lynch options being our lynch. Seeing how I can come back, I'm going to apply my pressure back to Beatrice.

Vote: Beatrice Kingsley (Bob)

Speak up and add to the discussion, Auntie. This isn't like you.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any suspects yourself? :look: Besides Connie, of course. Because so far in this game of life, you've been playing pretty below the radar yourself.

The Seductive Carletta Emilia Benita Rosita Priscilla Lucia Cecilia Maria Giuliana Vittoria Roberta Consuela Rosalina Margarita Puerta admits she doesn't have any serious suspects. Tristan has been steadily more helpful today. Beatrice has been quiet, but that's more or less normal for her. Abigail and Danny have been rather sheepy. (Though I know the latter has been absent recently.) Everyone's been fairly active in public thus far. The Seductive Carletta hopes we get something solid from behind-the-scenes soon, but she isn't holding her breath, unlike Connie.

I am thorn as to where to cast my vote;

Connie's recent silence make me think she also gave up; giving up is not very townie but yet is also not very scummy; I'm hoping that she is taking a breather to compose herself and that she will come up with a proper answer to the concerns addressed by the townsfolks.

Beatrice is not participating so it's hard for me to say scum or town; speak up so we can assess your affiliation. One side of me thinks she is scum and laying low so as not to slip up but on the flip side, she could also be laying low out of shear (sheer?) laziness.

Michael was a serious contender on day 1 up until mid day and has since been pretty much free of scrutiny; Michael contributes fair opinions to the discussion and if he is scum is doing a pretty decent job at appearing town.

You never addressed Beatrice's behaviour in your posts; is there a reason for this? Beatrice deserves a certain amount of scrutiny, her vote justifications are worst than Boris's IMO.

Beatrice just isn't talking so I don't have any kind of read on her. I am opposed to policy-lynching her but the longer she doesn't talk, the worse she looks.

Vote: Connie Radford (Clanure)

You come off as odd to me. If there's one thing that Auntie Betsy knows, it's acting odd.

For gods sake Jessica. How many times have I explained my reasoning for voting Jessica? It wasn't for some 'stupid meta reason' it was for a list of reasons, which I stated earlier. I voted after Kane because I thought he made a point, but I then thought you made a few good points so I didn't feel comfortable voting with you. Therefore I'd hardly say I voted wierdly. If you can explain why you found it 'weird', please do.

And for the record, I find Beatrice worst at the moment, but am not voting just yet. Beatrice didn't acknowledge anyone suspicion of her decide there being a truckload of it. I want to hear more from her before I vote.
