TWP Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I certainly do like it, though I'm much more a star wars fan then a town fan. I like your "real" star wars builds better, because those where more appealing. the half-open buildings are good and look natural, that's a big plus. I also really like the techniques you've used for the church, especially the apsis. you could also post this in town forum, or not, because you can't double post a topic :) Quote
Only Sinner Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I also like the scene with Chewie in the doghouse and Han oogling Oola. Amazing detail and the cutaways are genius! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Darth Vader leading a church. You don't come to church and listen to him? "I find your lack of faith disturbing." *ack!* Your list of incredible dioramas continues to grow. Sci-fi, Castle, now Town — there may not be an architectural style or a theme with which you can’t do well. I particularly like the flora in this one, and I think you've used just the right number of ‘brick bricks’ in clusters in just the right places in the walls of the dark red building. The cutaways are also a great feature and reveal some fun scenes, though I sort of wish their edges were a little more uniform, because at first I thought they were partially destroyed. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I love it......Vader leading the church of the Sith. AWESOME detailing and designing though the whole creation.......Brick On and good luck in the contest 'markus1984' ! Quote
markus1984 Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 Thank`s guy`s! Yeah hope it`s enough for the next round @Brickdoctor yes, i think the same when i was ready with the moc, the church was ok but the house look`s a little bit destroyed, but i haven`t more time to rebuild it Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 @Brickdoctor yes, i think the same when i was ready with the moc, the church was ok but the house look`s a little bit destroyed, but i haven`t more time to rebuild it Ah, right, contest entry with a deadline. The church's cutaway does look good. I've seen some Town builders do the hinged walls that open up to see the interior; that solution looks very good, too, if you ever do something like this again. M<0><0<DSWIM Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Another brilliant and super-detailed build! I love the stain glass in the church window, not to mention Palps at the pulpit. Quote
Churchill Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Great job! I always like the mix of technology with history. Of course Stormtroopers would find themselves in historic places sometimes. It's a cool juxtaposition. Quote
Xcod119 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Brilliant build, I like the Emperor priest and storm trooper congregation Quote
Tariq j Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I love your MOC's Markus 1984! There fantastic! Quote
Esurient Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Great MOC! Very creative to do a crossover between modern city and Star Wars! I like Emperor Palpatine leading the congregation of stormtroopers! Quote
