CMP Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Okay, thanks. What about BrickWarriors armor? Actual in-game armor and how your character looks can be as different as you want it. There's no relation between the two. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Okay, thanks. What about BrickWarriors armor? If you notice, most of the characters carry way to much stuff that we could ever show in a picture, it's simply assumed that your picture doesn't necessarily represent your in game stuff. Quote

Siercon and Coral Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 The Mystic Knight's ability to upgrade equipment... If his goal is to spend many battles taking a beating to upgrade stuff is he still at the mercy of the battle die? Seems like enchanting a shield would be an intentional move but I'm unclear if he can do it when ever he wants (100%) or is forced to do it passively 1/6 of the time...? Quote

Wait till you go on a quest or two and pick up some items. Mav give you inspiration for a new look. It's only when he rolls Enchantment and has enough ether. And it sure is a sad thing to not have enough ether for neither shield nor weapon. Quote
Flipz Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 And it sure is a sad thing to not have enough ether for neither shield nor weapon. That's when you temporarily trade to start upgrading your allies' equipment instead. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 If an artifact that provides an immunity to a negative effect is equipped while the hero has the effect, doe it cure them immediately or does it only prevent them from receiving it in the future? I.e. a slowed Hero equips the Winged Sandals. Quote

Emjajoas Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I've run it as curing for an instance of Bleeding as well. Quote

I.e. a slowed Hero equips the Winged Sandals. The hero becomes immune to slowed-effect after equipping the Winged Sandals, so it is impossible for him to have it anymore. The only exception to this is if there's a permanent effect caused by another piece of equipment - in which case the effect is nullified, but not removed. Quote

Sandy Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 Can we get clarification/FAQs addition about Hastened heroes & Free Hits? What about them? Do you mean the fact that hastened heroes do not get any more Free Hits than unhastened heroes? I can clarify that, sure. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 What about them? Do you mean the fact that hastened heroes do not get any more Free Hits than unhastened heroes? I can clarify that, sure. In one quest I was in, a Hastened hero got a Free Hit for every time they were listed in the Battle Order. For example: Hero A Hero B Hero C Hero B 6 Free Hits Hero A - 1 Hero B - 2 Hero C - 3 Hero B - 4 Hero A - 5 Hero B - 6 Hero A - 1, 5 Hero B - 2, 4, 6 Hero C - 3 Quote
Sandy Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 In one quest I was in, a Hastened hero got a Free Hit for every time they were listed in the Battle Order. That is not correct, although I understand that the situation is confusing and QMs might logically assume otherwise. But the main principle is that Free Hits should be divided as equally as possible among the party, and even though a hero might get several turns in a round, there is only one of them physically for enemies to target. That's why hastened-effect doesn't count. I've updated the FAQ now: Q: If a hero is hastened, will he get two Free Hits where the other heroes get one?A: No. Free Hits are divided as equally as possible among all the heroes, starting from the top of the battle order. The first hero listed will get the Free Hit from the first untargetted enemy, the second hero listed from the second untargetted enemy and so forth until all untargetted enemies have gotten a hit. However, if a hero is hastened or otherwise gets multiple turns in one round, only their first turn is counted when calculating Free Hits. Quote

I've clarified it in the past a couple of times, but minor details like this tend to get lost in time. It's odd that I haven't put it into the FAQ before this, though... Quote

Sandy Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 Just so you know, I'm now in the process of transferring the job class rules to the Wiki. I still urge other people to fill in the Wiki as well. If you're hesitating because writing in a Wiki is new to you, just trust that you can do no lasting damage, as everything is editable there. Kintobor Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Two questions: 1. Weapons with elemental properties deal 0 damage to Etherial enemies, correct? 2. If a PC counterstrikes with an elemental weapon equipped, is this considered dealing 0 damage when striking an Etherial enemy? Quote
CMP Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 (edited) 1. Weapons with elemental properties deal 0 damage to Etherial enemies, correct? 2. If a PC counterstrikes with an elemental weapon equipped, is this considered dealing 0 damage when striking an Etherial enemy? Yes. Assuming it's a purely ethereal enemy. If not, then assume all elements are simply ineffective against it much as fire damage is ineffective against fiery enemies. Using a light-elemental weapon on an Ethereal Demon, for example, would cause regular damage. No. Counterstriking has nothing to do with equipped weapons. Edited October 30, 2014 by CallMePie Quote
