Sandy Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 Would Hexing an enemy alleviate stun and/or sleep? I might not underatand your point exactly, but no, the effects do not negate each other. Quote
Flipz Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Question: a shield's 1/6 chance to completely deflect damage is also applied to Free Hits, correct? Quote
CMP Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 QM Note: You can't flee, seeing as how Throlar is knocked out. Eric will have to use his Phoenix Essence on him. If that's what you guys want to do, I am more than willing to let you guys flee, seeing how this battle's going south for you guys. I'll let you three come to a decision, and I'll run the round accordingly. I don't believe having everyone conscious is a prerequisite for the party fleeing, is it? Quote
K-Nut Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Nope. Throlar is the only one with a Smoke Bomb though. Quote
CMP Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Nope. Throlar is the only one with a Smoke Bomb though. Oh. That's a bad situation, then. Heckz and Eric could always bail. What's funny, is that's not even hypothetical. I could absolutely see them leaving Althior behind to die. Quote

Do you mean Throlar? I keep this Feather of Flight with Althior just to make sure he's the one leaving people for dead. Besides, I was leaving Throlar for dead back before it was cool. Quote

I could absolutely see them leaving Althior behind to die. Yeah, leaving Throlar would probably be the most RP thing to do . But then Lord Duvors would most likely not see the end of the quest again, which isn't really fun for him.. But yeah, we should've let him rot! Quote
Flare Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 But how could the paladin flee with you, he's not a rogue and he has the items you have to be protecting Quote
Sandy Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Question: a shield's 1/6 chance to completely deflect damage is also applied to Free Hits, correct? No, it is applied only to the roll called "Deflected Damage". It doesn't apply to Special Damage or Free Hits or anything else. Quote
Palathadric Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 No, it is applied only to the roll called "Deflected Damage". It doesn't apply to Special Damage or Free Hits or anything else. Bummer. Quote
Asphalt Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Can two of the same gem be merged with a weapon to increase the damage multiplier? Quote

Brickdoctor Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Sandy, can we get a ruling on how the Pheles Kris works if Pie is Hastened? Does he get two chances for the Aura? (Argument for: the weapon is used twice, therefore it should get two chances for an Aura. Argument against: Pie has been getting chances of Auras even if he's not attacking, so long as the weapon is equipped, therefore using it twice shouldn't change the chances anymore than not using it at all does.) Sandy Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 OoC: Sandy has changed the rules of smoke bombs so that they don't force everyone to flee. Is that still what you'd like to do? I'm sorry about that, but I think that's the ruling now. I'm sorry, but the ruling has not changed. The Smoke Bomb still forces everyone to flee - unless the QM has royally f***ed up the battle stats and has to make amends to his players (referring to Quest#92 93). So yeah, the official description hasn't changed, but QMs can use their own discretion if the battle becomes unfair otherwise. Sandy, can we get a ruling on how the Pheles Kris works if Pie is Hastened? Does he get two chances for the Aura? Yes, the chance for Aura is rolled everytime Atramor takes a turn. It says so in the description. Quote

I'm assuming you're referring to 93, because 92 as Zepher's quest. Sometimes I look up at the sun, Sandy, and see Aureole staring back at me. And then I look away because you're not supposed to look at the sun. Quote

Zepher Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Oh, my apologies. I thought there had been a change for a reason, sorry. I will go tell my players I was wrong. I remembered a discussion and there being a ruling that it might not force everyone to leave, but I guess that was a exception instead of a new ruling. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Can't Remedies kill undead, or am I thinking of something else? Quote
K-Nut Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Can't Remedies kill undead, or am I thinking of something else? Phoenix essences kill undead I believe. Potions, Grand Potions, and healing all damage them too. I don't think Remedies do anything. Quote
Sandy Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 I don't think Remedies do anything. Except remove any negative effects the party has gone through a lot of trouble to inflict upon them. Quote
Sandy Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Breaking News! The expert job class Winged Warrior has gone through a few minor changes, especially to it's Shield-skill. It should be much more balanced to play as, now. Quote
Yzalirk Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) When your character buys say Light Armor, you can have different variations of that armor, right? I completely forget, sorry! EDIT: And assuming 3rd Party accessories would also work for the "substitute" as well. Edited November 13, 2014 by Goliath Quote
