Sandy Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 I thought the original description was 'unarmed attacks' or something similar. I probably removed that because Chi Monks can only make unarmed attacks - of course I forgot all about Artisans. But I can add it back. It still wouldn't have made a difference in regard of dual strike weapons, since the property does not stack. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I'm just wondering, if a hero loans something out to another hero, but the player of the borrowing hero becomes inactive, can the loaner just take his item back when he's at the hall? Quote

Sandy Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 I finally came to my senses and changed the blessed-effect so that it restores a tenth of max. health each round, instead of a fixed number. It requires a little more math, but it makes the effect much more useful for players of all levels. I also made a few stylistic changes to the Chi Monk. Firstly, nimble-effect has now been added to the list of effects that can be gained with Chakra. I also separated common unarmed hits from the elementally imbued hits, naming them Martial Hits and Chi Hits, respectively. The class plays the same, nevertheless. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Yes, but you can't change the weapon class. Quote
Comrade Commander Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Question: If undead are hurt by healing items, I assume a potion does 10 damage right? Likewise, would a health core be a one hit kill since they would heal to full health? Quote

Likewise, would a health core be a one hit kill since they would heal to full health? It's been ruled that Health Cores deal 50 damage to undead. And yes, Potions deal 10. Quote

Palathadric Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Considering how coveted health cores are these days (or is that only me?) I, even more than before, think they should do more damage than that. I believe they were sold for more than Phoenix Essences. Quote

Palathadric Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 It's possible. I thought the Ether Cores were even more, but perhaps I just got them confused. To think that Sorrow was sitting under a fortune... Quote
Sandy Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 The battle in Quest#125 opened my eyes to yet another design flaw in the Necromancer job class, so I tweaked it once more. Now the Shield-skill (which was renamed) allows revival of fallen allies at the cost of 5 ether per revival, but to balance that out, I included a 1 ether cost to each undead raised. Power must come with a price, after all. Quote
Flipz Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I like this change a lot. On the subject of shield rolls that could use a little tweaking, Chi Monk could use something to do once it has every single positive effect; the restoration is nice but lackluster, and with it getting Lucky from the Shield it ends up rolling Shield quite a lot. Are you serious?! If the Chi Monk manages to roll Shield for more than eight times in one battle, they will be so overtly buffed they do not need to get anything extra. Quote
Flipz Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Maybe take Lucky away from Chakra, then? I know seeing a constant stream of useless SHIELDs out of Hybros was a little bit frustrating on my end a couple times, I can only imagine what it was like for JimBee. ...then again, I could barely touch any of you, so maybe the healing is better than it looks. The Chosen Minifigure Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Soma needs to be updated in the marketplace to reflect the new change. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 For Hoke's Zoot's Plaything, will the WP be calculated on the level or the incremental level (lvl 40.6 = 40.6 or 40)? Quote
Zepher Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Personally, it says level, so I guess the incremental level would be fine. We could look up how it was done in the past, but that seems fine to me. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Thanks! Just trying to plan it out for the right time. My patience will pay off: Hoke got Zoot's Plaything in March 2013! Almost 2 years ago!!! Quote
Asphalt Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 If I remember correctly swapping weapons does not cost a round in battle. Does changing artifacts? Not trading between player, just changing what a character is wearing from his own inventory. Quote

Not trading between player, just changing what a character is wearing from his own inventory. It does. From the rules: Note that if you want to change your equipped artifacts during a battle, it will cost you a turn. Quote
Asphalt Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Thanks, that's what I thought, but it never hurts to double check. Quote
