Kintobor Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 This is what your Bad Luck Charm states in your inventory, so I've been following that. I didn't know there was another version of it. Sandy, can I get clarification on this? Quote
Zepher Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I would kind of prefer if artifacts like that cost additional ether (though of course it would have to be implemented across the board). I think its always better if powerful artifacts are supplemented with a drawback. That way it makes specific builds more of a choice rather than a "power-up", which in my opinion is cooler. Quote
Sandy Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Sandy, can I get clarification on this? Cutcobra's version of the Bad Luck Charm is the correct one. For some reason the ether bit got omitted when I put the artifact on sale to the Marketplace - I probably copied an earlier version of the item from my files or something. I'll fix the description at the Marketplace right away. Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Can you merge multiple gems into one artefact to make it absorb that element? Say, 3? Quote
KotZ Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Can you merge multiple gems into one artefact to make it absorb that element? Say, 3? Yes, I believe. I merged Kiray's fire gem from her fire armor into her fishy mail, so she absorbs water and is immune to fire. Quote
JimBee Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 No, no, no, it doesn't work like that! Know that Jebs' RP choices usually don't reflect reality. You can't merge gems to absorb an element. Kiray's Fishy Scale Mail absorbs water as an effect of that artifact; imbuing the ruby works like any other artifact in that it allows immunity to fire. Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Damn. Not even merging 5 identical gems? Quote
K-Nut Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Damn. Not even merging 5 identical gems? Nope. You can't get more immune to something. Quote
Jebediahs Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Heh heh :-D. I do want another Garnet to merge with a shield though (the other to keep for casting earth spells) if anyone has one available. Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Nope. You can't get more immune to something. Not even by collecting ever gem of one type in the game and imbuing them into an aretfact that is already immune to that type? ... ... Please? Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Not even by collecting ever gem of one type in the game and imbuing them into an aretfact that is already immune to that type? ... ... Please? I wonder if having multiple gems imbued could mean that you deflect elemental damage to another enemy... On a different note, only Rogues can wear Swift Boots, right? Quote
Palathadric Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I wonder if having multiple gems imbued could mean that you deflect elemental damage to another enemy... I suggest you stop wondering about that. Quote
Asphalt Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I asked the same (sorta) question about stacking gems to increase protection/damage. Gems don't stack. Quote
Yzalirk Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Are there different types of rarities for items like Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Exotic? I may have been a bit busy playing some Destiny last week so don't mind the colors and rarity names. And can there be unique items that can be used by all classes? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 We talked about artefacts sets at one point, but I don't know where that conversation ended. There are already PLENTY of artefacts that can be used by all classes. Quote

You have been playing long enough to know this game doesn't have that kind of system... We talked about artefacts sets at one point, but I don't know where that conversation ended. It ended with QMs having the liberty to make artefact sets if they want to. I know I sure did for the Tin Knight, which you will see once the party in Quest#125 gets through that minefield. Quote

Sandy Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 I figured I'd ask something to break up some silence. Please don't ask questions you know the answer to. That's just... well, stupid. We Finnish at least don't have any trouble with silence. Often it's good. Gives people room to breath and think. Quote

Yzalirk Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) The only people who have trouble with silence are time lords. Or whatever these things are. On a more serious note, if I wanted to host a quest, does it have to include at least one battle or does it have to have multiple battles? I was wondering if a "passive", or for the most part, quest would be different in the sense that diplomacy and talking things over could solve conflicts. Edited February 19, 2015 by Goliath Quote

Generally speaking, this sort of question is more suited for the QM Lounge. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 What is the currently accepted etiquette about having advice for players in quests besides the one you are on? Quote
Sandy Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 What is the currently accepted etiquette about having advice for players in quests besides the one you are on? You should not meddle with other quests, unless it is to point out a rule break. Let other players play their own quests in peace and focus on the one you are on. Quote
