Sandy Posted May 13, 2015 Author Posted May 13, 2015 Question about the Elven Shield. It gives an SP bonus to all elves in the party so long as it's active. Does this include half elves? I would say it does, if the player has been a half-elf from the beginning, and not suddenly and miraculously finding out about his elven heritage after acquiring such an item. Quote

You didn't know it, but I had been playing Pretzel as a half-elf since the beginning, just I (completely unsuspiciously) didn't tell anyone. Quote

Humans don't live as long as pretzel says he has. So either he's lying about his age or he's not human. Or at least not wholly human. So it's plausible. The question is, if he's half elf, what's the other half? Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Dwarf. It'd explain the beard and gruff exterior. Quote

Isn't Pretzel's race called a "hermit"? I don't know how that separates him from a normal human, but it sure does not make him half-elven. Quote
Kintobor Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 You see? I could be full elf and it's a fake beard. Or perhaps Monk Pretzel is just a parasitic beard on the body of an older man. Quote

Head canon that Pretzel is a sentient ageless parasitic hermit crab covered by a beard and posessing the body of a half-elf that died of old age. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 14, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Scubacarrot Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Hermit-crab, head-crab, coincidence, I think not! pretzel - Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 ^ Pretzel DOES have a gravity gun, it's his 99th piece Quote
Asphalt Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 More an observation than a question, since I am the first to run a level one quest since the new ether changes have been put in place. But the one ether per enemy/party member effected shield is brutal on low level mages and clerics. If I had remembered that change my two mages would have been out of ether in the first round. Quote

Yes, I am aware of that. That's why the low-level mages and clerics need to preserve ether and rest often. Quote
Zepher Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Yeah, I think it's a great change! Ether packs a huge punch, this is a really good way to even it out. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I'm not sure if I quite agree with that. Clerics have often found themselves in situations where it was more advisable to rely on potions for their certain healing, than the healing of a cleric. But I'm no longer a cleric, so what do I know? Quote
Sandy Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 I'm not sure if I quite agree with that. Clerics have often found themselves in situations where it was more advisable to rely on potions for their certain healing, than the healing of a cleric. But I'm no longer a cleric, so what do I know? That's the tradeoff: potions are guaranteed, but limited, while healing might not work, but its more potent and you can do it as long as you have ether. And it's really important to remember that after this change, targets with full health are not healed, and thus do not consume ether. Quote
Chromeknight Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 What are the rules for second character again -(and which thread faq are they written in?) Thanks! Quote
K-Nut Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 15 quests participated in or 5 hosted. Aren't they in here? Quote
Chromeknight Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Ah yes, found em now, they were on a page that was still loading when I looked. Quote

Or a combination. 1 hosted quest = 3 participated quests. I thought that was discussed, but never official. It doesn't say so in the rules Edited May 27, 2015 by K-Nut Quote

Palathadric Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 You deserve Pala's title. Only, I never venture to the first page of this topic. I saved the page and keep that for easy access. Quote
