Scubacarrot Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 The general rule is that unarmed attacks cannot happen. Still, I'd say no if there was an unarmed attack, witch's weapons are permanently poisoned. Quote

Flipz Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 The general rule is that unarmed attacks cannot happen. Still, I'd say no if there was an unarmed attack, witch's weapons are permanently poisoned. That changed in one of the big class changes a while ago, I think? Battles: Q: Can I attack without a weapon? A: Yes, you can. In that case your attack power will only consist of your level. Technically speaking, your WP is 0 when fighting unarmed, so your Critical Hits and damaging Shield-skills will also do damage equal to your level in that case. Mages cannot cast spells unarmed, since they need their weapon to channel the spells, but clerics can heal (restoring health equal to their level on every successful roll). Note that Chi Monks are especially geared towards unarmed fighting, so their attacks work differently. Quote
Sandy Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 Rules question about Witches: are their unarmed attacks poisoned like their weapon attacks are? I would say yes to that. The same applies to Lethal Hits and Mortal Hits. Quote
Asphalt Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Another witch related question. Does a witch with a dual strike weapon deal poison damage twice on a successful attack or only once. IE. The Twin sai(WP 10 with Poison 10) Attacks monster A with both strikes. Does it do do 10 damage and 10 poison twice or 20 damage and 10 poison once. And if the strikes are directed at two different opponents do both opponents receive poison 10? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 That, I can answer and be correct I think. Twice. It's two hits. Quote

Not sure how it works on a single target, but I know for a fact that hitting two targets will poison them both (which is the main advantage of a dual-striking Witch, by the way--not so much the damage ). Asphalt Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Indeed, just looking for a definitive ruling for the future. hate not knowing how my character works. Quote
Palathadric Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I think it's most often used that if you hit two targets both will be poisoned, but if you just hit one twice, then they receive double damage but not double poisoning. If it were me, I would say that it should receive double poisoning as well since the attack is hitting them twice. Quote
JimBee Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Gold Ring (worth 15 gold; can be given to someone to make them enamored with the giver) So I've had a few of these in my inventory for a while, and I'm not quite sure how they work... can you use it on an enemy for them to become enamored? The words "use" and "someone" imply that you can only use it on an NPC, and that the NPC has to be relatively friendly, but in that case the item seems useless. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I'm pretty sure it means enamoured as in the in-battle effect, so yes, you can use it on an enemy (as far as I can tell). Quote
samurai-turtle Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I have one in my inventory (gold ring). And, I am thinking of selling it. Is it like treasure and I could sell to any one in the market place. Or, do I have to sell it to some one pacific. Of course I would like to hear the answer to JimBee's question too. Quote

I won't state for a fact, but I'm 90% sure that it can be used in battle like a consumable on enemies to make them enamoured with you. You can sell it like any treasure at the marketplace. Quote

You can use the item on both NPCs out of battle and enemies in battle; that's the beauty of it. Quote
KotZ Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) I have a sharp tip in my inventory that says (-2 bleeding). I'm assuming that it can be attached to a sword and cause Bleeding by 2 to a target, correct? How is it added to a weapon? Is it just like imbuing a gem? Or am I way off on what this thing is? Edit: er, well techinically is says (-2 bleeding) so is that causing bleeding to the target or am I bleeding? Edited June 13, 2015 by KingoftheZempk Quote
Zepher Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 It works the same way your Everlasting Venom works, only with bleeding. Quote
KotZ Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 And it's not permanent, this one? Only works for one battle? Quote
Kintobor Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Can a character use their fists as a weapon? Sort of. It's considered an unarmed strike, and deals damage equal to your level. Note, you can't deal put venom on your hands since they aren't technically a weapon. Chi Monk is all about using unarmed strikes. Quote
