Okay, what do you mean by tracking it down?

If you want to buy one from another player, do a search for that term in Statistics, and either PM them about it or ask their character when your character encounters them.

Or wait for a piece like that to drop.

I feel like we can answer all loot questions that way, so they don't need to keep popping up. If it's not offered in the market, you'll have to go find it in a quest or on another player. That's it.

And yet, for some reason, Sandy didn't want shields to damage attackers...

Actually, that discussion was about a shield having WP and being used as a weapon. Which is a totally different thing.

Dunno. I remember it being something to the effect of an auto counterstrike with Shields, but counting SP. I think even CMP suggested a barbed shield. Could be wrong though...

That was before Free Hits were changed to be more threatening to SP-users, back when the Counterstrike strategy was running rampant.

I forgot to ask this earlier as well but is it possible to obtain artefacts that grant certain class traits like Animal Talk?

Yes. Again, check Hero Stats. There's a Sylvania's Cowl that does, in fact, grant Animal Talk.

They're rare, but they exist. Sylvania's Cowl grants Animal Talk.

From your questions, I'd suggest you try scrolling through Hero Statistics, and look at the different pieces of gear everyone has. It's only five pages long, and it answers both of the questions you've asked.

Alright, thanks for the answers.

I would but it gets annoying to look through those five pages just for one little thing, especially when I have to look through a huge inventory list. My attention span is pretty low for that so I don't have much time to do that.

It also gets rather annoying when you ask about things in the rules topic when you could have just found the answer for yourself in a few minutes. And multiple people have gently suggested that you don't ask about that kind of stuff in this topic.

You can use the forum's search feature to search within a topic. Granted, that only helps if you already know what you're looking for, but it still helps.

For instance, in this case, you would do a search for "Animal Talk," since you're looking for artifacts that grant that trait.

Well, this is the FAQ section and I'm asking questions. Where else would I ask? :sweet:

Let me try see if that works. Sometimes when I would look for certain topics or whatever, I didn't get results for some reason.

EDIT: Yes, it worked, I got lots of results. I think my problem before was that I was searching from the overall forum, not from a section.

This brings up some thing I thought about. (I am going to use "Captain America's" Shield as an example.) If I wanted to drop a "shield" that could be use as a "throwing weapon". (I am thinking the WP/SP would be the same number.) Could this be a possible?

Would be pretty niche since only a few (one?) classes can use throwing weapons AND shields.

That is definitely something I would run past sandy. Sounds OP and unbalanced to me.

I'm just trying to figure out the benefits of carrying one. Shields take a turn to equip - would this be used as a "last resort" weapon, if all you had were throwing weapons and you'd thrown all of them?

But since you can only have one weapon equipped at a time, you would not be able to use that shield and a different weapon at the same time. Not to mention if you made its WP equal to its SP you are getting two upgrades for the price of one.
