samurai-turtle Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 On a more serious note I spoted a Minecraft "transforming gold sword/pickaxe" toy. I think that could be worked into the game. Quote
Duvors Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 No, gotta be blue. Throlar's lantern would definitely be red. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) Elemental lanterns perhaps? We're not seriously debating what color the lanterns should be, we're joking around about what Emotion on the Emotional Spectrum our characters best resemble - and by extension, what Lantern Ring they would wear/corp they would join.https://en.wikipedia...n_Lantern_Corps Edited March 13, 2016 by Lind Whisperer Quote
Chromeknight Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Yes, I understood the DC - GL reference. I was suggesting ways it could be ported into the Heroica continuum. Seven emotion colours plus life and death? Corresponding to nine gem colour, it's an easy link to make. Quote
Duvors Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Yeah, but the colors don't match up entirely. Quote

I think some thing like this would work. Transforming Pickaxe (tool; WP:5; Axe/Longsword) Here is a in game description for it... As Germ grabs the odd looking Pickaxe a thought went through his mind: To bad this is not a sword. And like magic the blocky Pickaxe turns into a sword. Now I wonder if will go back to a Pickaxe. And then it did, trying the transformation a couple of more times he finally said: This might not be too bad. P.S. Germ's lantern color might be yellow. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Elemental lanterns perhaps? I tried to give one out for the last Grogmas event. I was envisioning an elemental lantern that emitted light that made vulnerable enemies Weakened. Or something like that. To Arthur: something to light the path ahead and keep the Darkness at bay. Diamond Radiance Lantern (Accessory, Suitable for All): Undead and Dark Enemies are Weakened Quote
JimBee Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Do the descriptions of the Veteran Classes' "support" trait (e.g. Kingpin or Fellowship of the Forest) refer to any character that was originally a Rogue/Ranger/etc. or must they currently be in the base job class? For example, if Rogue Thief Atramor was in the same party as Marauder Guts, would Atramor be permanently Lucky? Quote

Yzalirk Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I have a quick question. Suppose if I wanted to make a new character but I wanted to transfer an item to that character. If that is considered illegal to the rules, could I instead have someone hold onto the specific item and on the new character buy it from them later on? Quote

If that is considered illegal to the rules, could I instead have someone hold onto the specific item and on the new character buy it from them later on? From the FAQ: Q: Can I change my character?A: Yes, as long as you start over completely. No levels or items can be transferred to the new character. Note that you can create a second character if you fulfill the requirements listed on the rules above While the item could be sold and bought back later (technically), I'm pretty sure most of us would consider it bad form and against the spirit of the rules. Well, he could roll up a Munchkin. Then it'd fit the spirit of the game. I'm kidding.(although it would be interesting to see another Munchkin being played). It's...technically possible, probably, but...you really want to take your 60+ fellow player's feelings into account, when possible. ____Really-cool-character-plot-reveal-blanked-out-for-future-spoilers_____? Yes. Just so long as it doesn't violate in-game canon. Pushing the rules about item transferring, just because you want a different character? ...It's just not that polite. Quote

I'm assuming you're looking to hold onto the Anniversary Medal. While +4 SP is nothing to sneeze at, +4 to HP, Ether, and power, really aren't that big of a deal when it comes to the long term character statistics. So unless you're really looking to play a tank type character, I wouldn't worry about the Medal if you really want to play a different character. It's a value proposition, do you really like the artifact or do you really like the thought of a new character? You unfortunately can't have your cake and eat it too. Quote

To be honest with you, I was not talking about the Anniversary Medal. I actually am talking about the Gauntlets of the Legionnaire I have. I do want to play a tank of a character who deals damage but I am just not sure what to do. Long story short, another player and I were talking over a PM about a "trade." I would give him the Anniversary Medal in exchange to borrow a Medal of Glory until I reach I certain level. I really do not know how I feel about it but I would not mind leveling up at a fast pace after creating a new character. Quote

Not unless you want to have to constantly borrow gear off of other players just to stay alive. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) The medal of glory is actually better to have a bit later. It is easy to end up at a level far higher than your gear can support. Edited March 14, 2016 by Asphalt Quote
Flipz Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 QM Note: The Skeleton Decoy doesn't come into play until the free hits list. So after everyone makes their attack and the enemy gets their free hits, it goes at the front of the line to take the first one. Actually, the Skeleton Decoy absorbs all Free Hits until it breaks, at which point the remaining Free Hits begin to damage the rest of the party. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) so it is a one round wonder? Crud i need to fix that. And done: Thanks for the heads up. This is the first time I have ever been involved in a fight using a decoy. Edited March 16, 2016 by Asphalt Quote
Flipz Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Yeah, Skeleton Decoys are really underpowered, they definitely need a buff beyond just the Deluxe version; they have absolutely atrocious value for their cost, both in bones and in gold. Quote
Palathadric Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Bones>Skeleton Decoy just about every time these days. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 I know it has been asked, but I can't find it. Do heroes attack in the round they are resurrected or not until the next round? Quote
Endgame Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 They can attack the round they are resurrected. Quote
