Endgame Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) I think the only one that needs to be added is Bleeding. Most of the other ones are Endgame's mischievous creations. Guilty as charged. Perhaps Plagued could be added to the list? (-15 HP, -1 SP) Edited December 8, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Is there an effect that halves Sp? Quote
Endgame Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Is there an effect that halves Sp? Not a named one, but I've had a handful of specials that could do it. Quote
Sandy Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 Is there an effect that halves Sp? No, but there definitely should be. Not a named one, but I've had a handful of specials that could do it. Any suggestions for a name are welcome. Quote
Palathadric Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) Although it's a fun idea, why would being plagued lower ones SP? Edited December 8, 2013 by Palathadric Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Sundering/Sundered if you feel like going for that classic RPG vibe. I think the Burning effect should be a thing: Doubling damage each turn until remedied or hit by a water attack. Quote
CMP Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) No, but there definitely should be. I think it'd be better if the effect instead caused any damage against the hero for the duration of the next three rounds to ignore half of their defense. So it doesn't really count as Defense Reduction. You know, just in case anyone's immune to that. Edited December 8, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
Endgame Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Any suggestions for a name are welcome. *Vulnerable!* Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Burning should deal 10 damage each turn to one guy, then next turn spread to the next party member and deal half damage and so on. Quote
Kintobor Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Ugh, I really like Vulnerable and Sundered! I honestly like both! Quote
Flipz Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Here's a hint: I already have a Scroll of Armor Sundering that takes off 5 SP from an enemy; let's call the new effect "Vulnerable" instead. Quote
JimBee Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I still don't know what the Hilariously Drunk and Lucky effect does... Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I believe hilariously lucky is the same as lucky but you have to make a pun every round of battle to take effect. I think, don't quote me on that. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Burning should deal 10 damage each turn to one guy, then next turn spread to the next party member and deal half damage and so on. I like that idea! A lot! Though Burning really isn't really a fitting name I think. How about something like Contagious, or Infected. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I believe hilariously lucky is the same as lucky but you have to make a pun every round of battle to take effect. I think, don't quote me on that. Right. (And the pun has to be related to the action, of course.) Quote

How about something like Contagious, or Infected. Yeah infected sounds good.. *Infected* The target loses 10 health each round until the effect is remedied or the battle is over. After the first round of infection, the effect spreads to the next party member in the Party list dealing 5 damage each round until the effect is remedied or the battle is over And so on and so forth. Endgame Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I already made an effect called Infected. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 (edited) We'll call the new effect contagious then. Edited December 9, 2013 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I already made an effect called Infected. Eeennnddd....gaammmmeee!! You and all your crazy specials! Anyways, contagious sounds good. However, I'm not sure about the damage though.... 10, then to 5, what's next? 2? Then 1? What if there are more heroes in the party? Maybe it could just be 5 damage each round, then spreads to the next hero, and still does 5, then spreads again. Quote

The original idea was based off of a mechanic in a RPG called Parallel kingdoms. Edited December 9, 2013 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Zepher Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I think the call was for effects that should be added that have been used (such as Bleeding) not to make up entirely new and complicated ones. Quote

We just want fame. And besides. We are trying to add the complicated ones and create simple ones. Edited December 9, 2013 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Flare Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 (edited) Contagious effect sounds lovely... I'm totally gonna use it with my enemies Also the effect should be ae to stack. Edited December 10, 2013 by Flare Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing, Zeph. Quote
The Legonater Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing, Zeph. I'm pretty sure that's Endgame's whole modus operandi. Quote
