Brickdoctor Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Ether is restored by Resting. A "safe place" basically means that you can't Rest unless your QM lets you. There's no harm in attempting to use your Bedroll, but your QM may or may not tell you that it's actually safe enough to do so. (Or do something like I did in Quest 4, and let you start to Rest, but possibly interrupt you and force you to fight a battle and not gain any HP or Ether.) Quote
Zepher Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 It's just me mis-remembering and not checking myself. Ether should have been returned as well. Quote
Actaeon Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Can I change the age of my character? I completely forgot that I originally said he was 31. Right now I am thinking he is around 23 or so. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Generally you can fine tune things before your first quest. Afterwards you gotta run with what you've got. You should be fine. Quote

Flipz Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Yeah, roleplaying details like that are totally fine to change. Same with costumes/avatars. Though obviously it's better to set an age and stick with it rather than changing it back and forth every Quest. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Though obviously it's better to set an age and stick with it rather than changing it back and forth every Quest. Unless it makes sense. Karie's already turned 23, it's just that with 93 only supposed to be taking a day, she'll be turning 23 after the quest. Quote

Are you certain it's only one day?"We're back! What's for lunch?" "You were gone for six months." *faints* Quote
Endgame Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 (edited) Something tell me more than a few people would notice if their friends/family/girlfriend other vanished for six months. That reminds me, I should probably update Sorrow's age. I think I officially set his birthday as Christmas Day, if I recall. Edited July 1, 2014 by Endgame Quote

Brickdoctor Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I know everyone set their ages in the first couple of days after the game launched, then we pretty much completely forgot about it until the first anniversary when we all decided to update our ages on the anniversary of the day we joined the game, and I don't know if any of us pay attention to that anymore. I know I started Docken out at age 31, for whatever reason, and my stats say '32' right now...I should fix that. Quote

Actaeon Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 November the fifth? Sadly, if there is a reference to something here, I'm missing it. Are there specific dates in the Heroica RPG lore that are significant? Quote

Duvors Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Sadly, if there is a reference to something here, I'm missing it. Are there specific dates in the Heroica RPG lore that are significant? It's a british holiday celebrating a failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament, it is celebrated by shooting off fireworks and burning Guy Fawkes (the instigator of the attempt) in effigy. Brickdoctor Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 We did commemorate Halloween with some in-quest activities in 2011, but I don't think we made it into a holiday in-universe. Quote
Duvors Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Really? Wow I have bad memory. Oh Canada... how could you have failed to educate your citizens in the holidays of your liege state. On another note, this conversation now has nothing to do with the rules, lets move it to the General Discussion topic. Quote
Actaeon Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 On another note, this conversation now has nothing to do with the rules, lets move it to the General Discussion topic. I think Actaeon's birthday will be June 07. The day I joined. That shouldn't be too hard to remember, as it is written under my icon Quote
