Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Can items from the lottery be traded via Z-mail since it was a public lottery and announcement went to everyone (so wouldn't break RP)... ...or would it be prefered that we wait till we are all in the hall together? I think you have to wait. The Z-mail sends the item to you, but you can't send it to another hero. Maybe it's like a 2-way system. Quote

Allowing players to swap items with other players on other quests would open a can of worms that no QM wants to deal with. The inventories would be in a constant state of flux! So please wait until you and the person you wish to trade with are out of the quest Quote
Sandy Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 The list of negative effects has been updated now! Please note the changes to petrified-, bleeding-, cursed- and bound-effects. Many other effects have had their descriptions clarified as well. The FAQ has also been updated on behalf of how these effects apply to enemies. Quote
StickFig Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Amulet of the Court (Suitable for anyone, negative effects last only one round on the wearer, immune to water, lightning, and wood, accessory) Doomed — The target is automatically knocked out after the next three rounds have passed. So does this mean that Atramor only survives one round if Doomed? Quote
CMP Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) So does this mean that Atramor only survives one round if Doomed? Yes. It's happened before. I Special Mirrored an enemy that dealt Doomed to the entire party with an Aura. I was Doomed for one round, but that got Remedied. The enemy party was not as fortunate. Emjajoas Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Can someone explain to me how Scary works really quick? It makes it so lower-leveled enemies don't target you, but does it change the target of free hits to the next hero in the party, or do they not get a free hit? Quote
Zepher Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 No free hit. (If I remember correctly. I'm probably the worst person to ask.) Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 The exact definition is "does not take Damage." It used to be "will not target," but Sandy changed it after Quest 14: I'm actually thinking of reducing the Dread Hat's power to include only enemies that are half of Docken's level. So currently, no enemies under the level of 9 would be able to damage him. Quote
Emjajoas Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 So enemies lower than half your level will not damage you with free hits? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 So enemies lower than half your level will not damage you with free hits? Correct. Also applicable to rolls of Damage and the Damage portions of rolls of Special Damage. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) Does Sealed on an enemy affect only Special (roll of 6) or both Special (roll of 6) and Passive Specials? ]Sealed - The enemy misses on every SPECIAL DAMAGE rolled for it for the next three rounds. This also applies to Free Hits that use the enemy's special skill. Or did I just answer my own question? Edited August 14, 2014 by UsernameMDM Quote
Zepher Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Passives oddly have no way of being blocked, which is actually pretty cool and nice as long as we don't abuse them. It also makes sense as far as the mirror image of the heroes goes: if your weapon deals poisoned by 15, sealed would not stop that. In the same way, a passive special might make an enemy deal poisoned by 15 on free hits/damaged, and sealed will not prevent it. Quote
Sandy Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) Does Sealed on an enemy affect only Special (roll of 6) or both Special (roll of 6) and Passive Specials? This is kinda the reason I don't use the term "passive special" myself, nor have I incorporated the term to the basic mechanics of the game: they shouldn't be confused with the special attacks that enemies have. They are more like job traits for the enemies. Edited August 16, 2014 by Sandy Fixed for clarity. Quote
Endgame Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) They were all over the place in 93. Edited August 15, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Zepher Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Sandy, I believe you occasionally list them as "NOTE:" at the end of a character's explanation. Quote
Flipz Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Perhaps they should be called "Passive Traits" or "Passive Skills" rather than Passive Specials, then. (Or we can do as Sandy already does and just list them as "NOTE:" at the end of the stat block. ) Quote
Sandy Posted August 16, 2014 Author Posted August 16, 2014 Sandy, I believe you occasionally list them as "NOTE:" at the end of a character's explanation. Ah, sorry, I worded it wrong. I meant I don't use the term "passive special". Of course I use similar passive abilities for enemies. Quote
Flare Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Could we like officially change the term? Because if you think about it, passive special doesn't make much sense, however something like passive skill makes a lot more sense Quote
Asphalt Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 I am terrible at forum signatures, always have been. I finally got a useable pic of a character to add to his stats post. How do I get my characters link to read as its name rather than the url? Quote

Character Name Here Which becomes: Character Name Here Just change the link and replace the text in the middle with the text you want to display. Welcome! If you're trying to add an image, put the link to the image in between tags; if you want the picture to be a link, you can put the picture link (still enclosed in tags) in place of the character's name in the example above. Asphalt Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Many Thanks Flipz. Now it would appear I am ready to go. How often are new quests started and how to I let the bosses know I want to join it? Quote
Captain Settle Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Most of the time there's at least one quest up, which you can see on the first page of the Heroica Hall thread. You can sign up for the quest in the Heroica Hall thread aswell. Quote
Asphalt Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 I have assumed you have to wait until a new quest starts, is that the case or can you PM the quest master and ask for permission to be added. Quote
