UsernameMDM Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Also, a question that hasn't been answered: is a Dragoon's Dragon affected by Encouraged? To me it makes logical sense that the Dragoon could share their mead with their pet/companion, but I could see it going either way; the Encouragement from a Skirmisher, however, would logically apply to both Dragoon and Dragon, though, at least as far as I see it. Follow-up question for Dragoons - Can a dragon be equipped with an artefact(s)? Like an accessory necklace for a PC could be a collar for a dragon, etc. OR could QMs drop dragon specific artefacts? I don't see why that would be an issue. Quote

No, minions such as summons, undead, pet dragons or tamed monsters cannot be given any effects, neither negative nor positive. Too many follow-up questions would ensue. Follow-up question for Dragoons - Can a dragon be equipped with an artefact(s)? Like an accessory necklace for a PC could be a collar for a dragon, etc. OR could QMs drop dragon specific artefacts? The aforementioned minions cannot equip anything, either, but of course someone could create an artefact for the Dragoon that boosts the pet dragon in some way. Quote

Palathadric Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I thought that some QMs, and possibly even Sandy ruled in the past that a player could remove an artifact and pass it on to another hero in the same round. Maybe I'm wrong though. Quote

Maybe I'm wrong though. There was a time when artifact switching didn't cost a Turn — neither artifacts nor the rules pertaining to them were part of the original base game. The first artifacts were counted as equipment. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Is there any rule specifically stating that Heroes can't share GP earned in the Fields, and buy an item together? Quote
Palathadric Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Heroes aren't allowed to exchange GP, so, yes. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Dumb question: Do you have to just train to be a Dragoon or have to complete a quest as a Dragoon in order to avoid the level 40 25% penalty? Another question: Does a successful trip in the Fields of Glory count towards total quests completed in order to earn access to the Veteran Classes? Edited September 27, 2014 by UsernameMDM Quote
Sandy Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Dumb question: Do you have to just train to be a Dragoon or have to complete a quest as a Dragoon in order to avoid the level 40 25% penalty? It's all about when you train to be a dragoon, ie. which state you first get your pet dragon. If it has grown up without you, it will mistrust you. So if you first become a Dragoon at Level 40 or above, then the Shield-skill has a 1/4 chance to fail. It doesn't count if you have switched to another class and then return to Dragoon beyond Level 40, though, because the pet dragon is still the same. Another question: Does a successful trip in the Fields of Glory count towards total quests completed in order to earn access to the Veteran Classes? No, but it does count towards the 15 quests you need to participate to get a second character. Quote
