Unknown Artist Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I am usually very sceptical about the desings of official sets, but, I must admit, 2007 is going to be a great year - finally my words have been heard - TLC has gone minifig scale! I adore the Falcon - and now the Cafe Corner, which is simply awesome! Though I am not a huge city fan, I'll have to get it. :-D We really should get buying - so that they don't give up making these great sets! Quote
highlandcattle Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 This set only means one thing for me, I will probably not buy any other lego set this year :) The second problem is that it won't fit well into my layout but the sheer beauty of it makes me want to buy it. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 6, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 6, 2007 Incredible *wub* ! This set can be used in a modern city but also in a Napoleonic-area city. That's what makes it so great for the pirate fans! Quote
dr01d3k4 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 10178 = star wars walking AT AT ??? euro10179 = millennium falcon 550 euro 10180 = ??? 10181 = eiffel tower ??? euro 10182 = cafe 140,00 euro 10183 = trein 109,99 euro 10207 Bionicle super set ?????????? i don't think this is real, but on www.brickshelf.com i found 10180 UCS grievous fighter http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=228231 Quote
RoscoHead Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Whatever. |-/ maybe Lego should make a CN tower- I have been there and it is nice. :-D Like this? Quote
Sir Schvatts Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 This is a miraculous set. I think, and strongly hope, that UA is right and TLC has gone minifigure scale. If this is the case Im bigger truoble than I thought. TLC is smart finally getting a little smarter. (after several years) The only reason I bought the MF is because it is minifig scale. Now this is so nice that I will probably get one..... and I dont by town stuff! It is so great over all as a standalone and with figures too *wub* . I like the idea of adding it into a pirate area... I will if the all powerful wife deems it buy this set *skull* . This really is an expensive year with no end in sight. May TLC have mercy on our souls. Quote
Vader Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 i don't think this is real, but on www.brickshelf.com i found 10180 UCS grievous fighterhttp://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=228231 This pic and link has been posted on one than more occasion, again do alittle research before posting things like this. dr01d3k4 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 what could 10180 be?(thinks quietly to self) Quote
dr01d3k4 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 A Full size set of Dolly Parton ;-) ????????? :-D :-D ?????????? i think i have heard of her, but who exactly is she? Quote
blueandwhite Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 i don't think this is real, but on www.brickshelf.com i found 10180 UCS grievous fighterhttp://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=228231 If you look at his gallery, you'll find more shots of that grievous fighter. Its quite nice actually. The builder's other work is pretty nice too. As I mentioned earlier, I suspect that the actual 10180 is the licenced vehicle that was apparently discussed at the Frechen show. There was also a sketch of the corner cafe at that show. Perhaps nothing has been announced yet because LEGO is still working on the licencing agreement. Quote
tnickolaus Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Edit: DoubleTSorry people, Lego have via email told us to take the pics down Hope its okay I'm sorry if I posted the pictures without permission. :-X The original thread on 1000steine where the pictures were revealed by another user who found them on the official Lego website is also gone. Sorry, TLC! :'-( Anyway I'll buy this set! Thomas Quote

dr01d3k4 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 is this the reason why the pics are not on the homepage? Quote
Hobbes Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 The only real downside of the set is that it's empty inside (despite the fact that the floors can be separated). I feared that... :-/ Quote
DoubleT Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 No.. Dolly Parton asked that we took them down he he Do you belive me? he he And no problem tnickolaus you did great, just lego that where a little too fast... on SaH *sweet* Quote
Vader Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Damn no interior sucks :-( Oh well at least the rest of it looks fantastic. Quote
xenologer Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Edit: DoubleTSorry people, Lego have via email told us to take the pics down Hope its okay Just wondering, Why do we bother taking things down just because they say so? I remember on BZPower (back when i was silly enough to be on that forum) that the reason they always agreed to take down 'early' pics was because they had a TLG employee (gregf) on the forum, and if they didnt agree he would threaten to stop giving them hints about future bionicle story stuff. as near as I know, here on eurobricks we don't have any special arrangement like that... so why? P.S. did everyone remember to save those pics to your brickshelf? Quote
dr01d3k4 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 you can always buy the parts you need for an interior from lego factory, or use your own parts, if it where me, i would go for buying parts form lego factory, unless they don't have them. Quote
birdie100 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I suspect that the reason why TLC has asked us to remove the pics is because it is a prototype model. They didn't want us to have seen that model - because the finished one will not be as complex or detailed - and they don't want us disappointed later. The one that was there earlier on this afternoon was probably like a concept oen or something - not intended for the general public to see. So don't be disappointed when the real set looks nothing like the one we saw earlier this afternoon! Quote

Then for the sake of reputation they'd be forced to improve the real one, rather than go the path of so many good prototypes of the past? I'm not seeing a good motivation here for why we bother taking down 'leaks' in that case.... so going back to my above question, why? Quote

Theirs no way lego would improve a set just because prem pics got leaked, if that was the case alot of sets over the years would of been changed. I'm not seeing a good motivation here for why we bother taking down 'leaks' in that case....so going back to my above question, why? It was decided awhile back by us admins not to post things like this for reasons i wont go into here. Quote
xenologer Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 It was decided awhile back by us admins not to post things like this for reasons i wont go into here. Well, I think it would be nice to understand the motivations before I or someone else gets the idea to mirror the pics someplace else. Right now I have a neutral stance on the matter, but if it's somehow doing some significant harm the I'd like to know first.... Quote
mutley777 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 It was decided awhile back by us admins not to post things like this for reasons i wont go into here. Really! So if pictures of the new hoth set were leaked you would take them down too or even worse not put them up! I never thought i would see the day EB was censored. Quote
