MShiels Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 All I can say is the boxes will be available in LEGO USA stores March 10th for PURCHASE, the pictures are correct based on pictures I have seen, of physical boxes. Not sure why they are being so hush hush. BUT HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS. 140 USD is the price I was told by the LEGO Stores!!!!!! Quote

Scipiotik Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 So beautiful that I was finally compelled to register. If this is the future of Lego then I'm going to need some more tables. The cafe should go great with a modified version of the newest creator house. Quote
casewindu Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 He means you should be able to buy them...And figure 140USD = 100 pounds = 150 euros probably (at least the way Lego works...) THAT SOON! but howcome lego wont allow the pictures? Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 THAT SOON! but howcome lego wont allow the pictures? Because :-| Really...how many times do people have to be asked to drop it? :-P Quote
mutley777 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Well you can't blame some members for being a little curious as this is the first time i picture has been removed as far as i can remmember ( i've been here 2 years now *wub* ) . Maybe one of you admin guys could do a small post expaining picture posting rules (do we now have a respect the brick policy like another well known lego site?). Quote

Well of course people can be curious, but after you're told 10 times to drop it, you drop it :-P I'm sure there's a very good reason it isn't being talked about on the boards (I don't know myself), but that fact is that I'm sure it's being done for the good of the board. I don't think there's any problem with posting pictures in general, it's just that after something is asked to be removed, it's done. It's not like EB is selling out or anything. It's not about respecting the brick, it's about respecting each other. I think some pictures were removed a little bit ago (within the last year), though we didn't have as big a reaction as this...we also didn't have so many new members ;-) My basic point is that it's nothing to be worried about or concerned about. EB isn't changing, this was done for the betterment of the community :-) Quote
birdie100 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 In fairness, not being rude admins - but your policy looks fundamentally flawed when the set and image are now on Lugnet, as a top link. Now that they're there, there is no point in keeping them deleted unless you have a sub poena on you or an NDA? Quote

It wasn't clear this afternoon whether it was a mistake by an employee who put them on the server or not. Since it's up everywhere it's quasi-official, I guess, and I'm putting them back up (hear me, TLC?)... Quote
oo7 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I wonder why Lego has not taken down their pictures yet..... *wacko* If you don't want people to see them don't post them on your own site!! Edit: Should we make a rule; "anything posted in the Lego 'Backroom' is officially NOT leaked"? Quote

Optimax X Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Nice looking set, may get it, it looks very useful for bricks and will go perfectly with people's lego city designs. Quote

CopMike Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I think this is going to be a big hit and hopefully it starts off a series of "high-level" city sets *sweet*! One thing I especially like is that it Quote

Holodoc Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Look, what I found on Brickset.com: The set we have been praying for? New set news Posted by Huw, Mar 6 2007 3:45PM 10182-1 This set, believed to be released in April, looks stunning. A real minifig-scale building made in realistic colours. With some 2056 pieces it won't be cheap, but if you buy only one set this year, this might be the one! Mind you, it's also believed that it's one of a series of modular buildings which is implied in the box artwork by the 'greyed-out' adjoining buildings. Start saving! One of a series of modular buildings??? *looking in my wallet* I definitely need a sponsor! :'-( *sing* Quote
