I think it is safe to say that we are entering a new Golden Age for City. A true masterpiece.

I called my local LEGO store and they said the set should be in the store this Saturday, March 10th. It will be $140.

Wow! This set is beautiful. I love it. The price is high, but it's gorgeous. It will make a great focal point for a town/city. I can't wait to see some close-up shots, esp. the interior. It may be just as detailed inside as the exterior. A great mystery can take place in a hotel of this kind.

I can't help to wonder if Lego will be offering more of these types of city/town models if they are successful with this.

The price is actually not that bad for what it is, it's the same price as the sandcrawler but with 387 more pieces. But unfortunately, the interior is empty. *sad* I'll hoping for just a checkered tile floor.

And we are fairly sure Lego will be making other moduals to fit in with this one. After all, there were three at the toy fair.

Listen, this is getting ridiculous. We're having people post the same thing twice. Once here and once in the thread dedicated to the cafe in Trains and Town. If there are questions about release, I guess keep it here. But if there are questions and/or comments about the cafe as a set, please post in the other thread here :-)

Yes, good idea. Although that other thread isn't in T&T but Non-system themes. I suggest it should be moved to T&T.

The reason why is because on the Main/News page, the message says "Join the discussion here and here" under the image of the cafe/hotel. This is the first thing people are seeing, and just as I did, I clicked the first "here" which is this message.

The price is actually not that bad for what it is, it's the same price as the sandcrawler but with 387 more pieces.

I prefer Lego keep their sets under $100. This is why I don't buy the large train sets. I hate spending $100 (USD) on a set, even when the value or price/piece is good. This will definately be an exception to my rule.

Since i'm guilty of doing this the reason iposted on both threads was to get a quicker response to my question. Wasn't sure if the poster is watching both threads or just decided to keep on one. Sorry if that seemed "ridiculous" :-/

Well, it's more that people were carrying on the same conversation in two places rather than a specific aspect of a conversation in one (release information) and another aspect in the other (comments about the set).

Now that it's settled (I hope), I don't think it'll be a problem. You have to admit it is kind of silly to have the same conversation carried out in two threads, but it's not a problem :-P

I am always interested in new pictures and sets, but if the admins were asked to put this picture down they will have to do it.
