WHATT! 6m drop, are you kidding me??? :D

Thanks for the excellent review! Where did you purchase it from? :D

Nice review. Are you going to test all sets with suspension such way?

I hope that LEGO did not sent you 41999:))))))

LEGO sent it to me for free for review as I run a popular online fan site.

Unfortunately not. If they did, I seriously doubt I'd risk it the same way! Congrats on the awesome model btw :)

Thanks for this review! I was thinking about getting this set if the price wasn't too bad and it seems ok, £34.99. It looks as if it has some very useful parts so I

think I'll be getting it! :D

Same here.

There is something that attacts me in this medium-sized set.

If you combine this set, build the chassis from 9398 from existing parts you own, do you have a poor-mans 9398?

(or are these not the right wheels+tires)

Edit: nice review! You have a fun way of writing, and the site keeps getting better and better. Good job on that.

Almost... build the 42005 from 9398 and nothing else The tyres are different and a few panels are missing but very close.

Thanks for the compliment. I try not to be the same as other sites, and just be honest and write what I feel. No matter how embarrassing :)

Top review technicmad, very "practical" lol. :-)

I must confess to dropping my sturdier models onto the carpet to see how tough the are.......

Oh and I'm Brisbane too :-)

It's not a poor man's 9398, the wheels are 81.6 x 38R. Great review indeed! Seriously though, you shouldn't drop any kind of lego from 6m!

I'm going to build this just for the fun of it since I have all the parts. When I was a kid my friends and I would build monster trucks with suspension and no steering then make a straight course with ramps to jump. This set brings back memories. :)

I have built this car two months ago (nico's video instruction at youtube). I locked steering for my son. He lauched this car forward at hills to jump. That was fun. Now it stands at my shelve with L motor worm gear at each axle and servo-steering, not finished yet, but crawls good:)

And then add some rc motors to it :D Your son sure would like this ;)

Hahaha for sure, I wonder how many technic fans there are in brissy...?

Back on topic,

I think I will get this little monster truck when it comes out. I just bought a used 9398 for parts so it would be fun to attempt to jam in some power functions and 3rd party tyres to see what it can do....

A very nice technic set, with a great review! I'll look forward to the release of this.

Build the LEGO® Technic Monster Truck with extreme 4-wheel suspension, all-wheel drive, flame detailing and monster-size rubber wheels!

What is lego saying? None of the wheels are driven at all!
