sam89 Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 http://www.action-figure.com has pictures, prices and piece counts of the new Star Wars and Harry Potter sets, but I thought I'd make a separate thread for discussing each. Here's Harry Potter: 4762 Rescue From The Merpeople Guarded by a fearsome merman, Ron and Hermione are fast asleep at the bottom of the lake. Can Harry and the shark-headed Viktor Krum rescue them? A secret lever will wake them up, but watch out for the water demons! 175 pieces. Ages 6+ years $19.99 (USD) $ 29.99 (CAD) Available in October 4766 Graveyard Duel Discover the hidden secrets of the sinister graveyard! The evil Lord Voldemort Quote
MattZitron Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Can I just say, what crappy tiny pictures. Merpeople look cool, but when they say People, I'd expect more than one. I also like the sharkboy minifig (I read the book, for the second time, a year ago. I can't remember who that is). Graveyard looks cool. A good addition to any Lego town. And the price tag isn't so bad. I like the Dragon, that set sounds interesting. And Magnetic hand? M-Tron Minifigs suddenly feel robbed. The ship remains to be see, the picture is too small. BUT I did notice that for an extra 2 pieces more than the Graveyard, its a whole $20 dearer. I know that theres a ships hull in there, but to me something seems a bit off. The sad thing is that there are no smaller sets. So kiddies can't afford this on their own. Hopefully they'll be more, cause otherwise Lego may loose out on this line. Quote
David85 Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Umm.. you messed the links up so I'll move what I said here.... The Harry Potter sets are great. The boat being one pice is dumb, and the dragon is lame, but the rest of them are great. And we finally get a fully brown tree!!! And can those prices be right?! 4766 Graveyard Duel Discover the hidden secrets of the sinister graveyard! The evil Lord Voldemort Quote
snefroe Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 sam, are you sure that these links to action-figure.com are right? every link you've given gives the "i can't find page" errors on my computer... Quote
sam89 Posted February 18, 2005 Author Posted February 18, 2005 That's strange, all of the links work for me :/ Quote

sam89 Posted February 18, 2005 Author Posted February 18, 2005 I did attach the images, but they're not working. Action-figures.com is still working for me at the moment though. I'll try and do something about the images. Quote

jonfett Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Thanks for the news and pics Sam, the website wont work for me either :/ I'm sure I will get the graveyard duel to the incredible price but I am too sure about the other 3, maybe I will wait until we get some better pics. Jon. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Graveyard Duel rules! Could do with more figs, though. Quote
David85 Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Graveyard Duel rules! Could do with more figs, though. What are you talking about?!?! It has 3 minifig charaters, two freaks, and two skeletens for $30! I have gotten $90 sets with only 4. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Graveyard Duel rules! Could do with more figs, though. I want another Giant Minifig. This film has a lady Giant! Are these the only sets coming out? Quote
sam89 Posted February 18, 2005 Author Posted February 18, 2005 It has 3 minifig charaters, two freaks, and two skeletens for $30! I think there's only supposed to be one "freak", since it's supposed to be Voldemort. I think they just accidentally put him in the pic twice. Quote

Are these the only sets coming out? 4673, 74, and 75 are missing from the set numbers. I'm guessing one of those will be the Beauxbaton Carriage with Madame Maxime, and one of them will be the Giant Maze, and one of them will be the new addition for Hogwarts Castle. Quote
sam89 Posted February 18, 2005 Author Posted February 18, 2005 They will all be released next year though. We're only getting four this year. Quote
DoubleT Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Thanx for the pics sam, but does anyone know where to get New York Toy Fair pics? Quote
The Middleman Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 They will all be released next year though. We're only getting four this year. Yeah, just pointing out that 'that's not all, folks!' ;) Anyone see this? 'Harry needs the golden egg, but he Quote
sam89 Posted February 18, 2005 Author Posted February 18, 2005 Yeah, that seems like an interesting feature. They should do the same but with repelling magnets in Star Wars, so you can 'force-push' people ;) Quote
Athos Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 My observations: Magnetic hand? *wacko* Sounds like lego is getting a little too gimmicky for my tastes... Ship looks interesting. I kind of like the Horntail dragon. I also like the various colors of Dumbledore's hair (red on the mermaid and tan on the death eater) maybe we'll get some beards to match. Prices look ok. Did anyone see that winged figure in the cemetary? That looks like it has some potential. Mermaid! And done reasonably well... but why only one? Of course all in that blasted flesh tone *sick* Steve Quote
browniedjhs Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Does any one think that hungarian horntail head would make a beautiful T-REx, hmmm.... didnt we hear something about dino's? doesnt lego like to reuse molds? lets hope we get the dino line, with better vehicles and better realistic sizes to the minifigs oh yeah, these sets look pretty nice Quote

Plus there are no arms for it so it can't be the T-Rex. Quote
