David85 Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I'll commit suicide if I don't see those Harry Potter pics soon.P.S. I was joking...about the commiting suicide part. :P Damn! I thought we were going to be lucky! :D Quote
The Middleman Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Back up. Save those images, sam. EDIT: ROFL COOKING SHOW http://www.rowm.com/images/Toy_Fair_2005/L...le/DSC07188.jpg Quote
Athos Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Can anyone tell what color Wormtail's hand is? Is it silver or just flesh toned? Steve Quote

Ryan Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 These sets looks so cool Harry Potter Lego has evolved a lot since the first set. I don Quote
MattZitron Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I've just looked at the Toyfair pics, with the boxes. How come Lego put unfinished minifigs on Display? And I'm pissed that if I want extra Merpeople, I have to buy multiples of the set. We could have at least got a couple of them! Quote
Matt Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 They will all be released next year though. We're only getting four this year. Yeah, just pointing out that 'that's not all, folks!' ;) Anyone see this? 'Harry needs the golden egg, but he Quote
The Middleman Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Looks like the magnetic hand is just something he holds - cool! Quote
christopher110 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Thank you, Sam, for uploading the lovely pics. This website never fails to surprise with its always up-to-date information and the coolest pics. Though i dislike the colour of the Durmstrang ship, but the design is really cool. The room can be detached easily. Wow. Play on. Quote
sam89 Posted February 23, 2005 Author Posted February 23, 2005 Looks like the magnetic hand is just something he holds - cool! That was probably just a thing for the Toy Fair. I'm sure the final set will have the magnetic hand. You can see that lots of the figures have stickers on them, but I doubt they'll be in the final sets! Quote
Matt Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Yeah, those stickers are prototypes. If you guys have not seen this yet, here is a new gallery with 45 pictures of the sets (zooms on all sets, and zooms on all minifigs). Quote
The Middleman Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 As long as the hand is removable, it could be useful. I'd still prefer the holdable thing, though. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I'm assuming that the link here => New Grave Yard is the new graveyard and the last link provided => the Old Graveyard. If this is the case (based on some of the previous messages, I like the new better with the exception of losing the crypt. Looks nice a neat structure to have in the graveyard. I have to admit, I'm not a big HP fan (only other set is the Motorized Train), but this set looks awesome. I love the two layers of brick in the back so that grave pits were possible. I'll definately be buying this set and plan to convert mine to a western Boot Hill graveyard with the use of some good hats and change in torsos. October will be a good month to release for Halloween. This set is very impressive! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I'm confused... I thought the baseplate set was the new one. Am I incorrect? Quote
David85 Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I'm confused... I thought the baseplate set was the new one. Am I incorrect? Yep. Everyone should know that HP sets don't use baseplates they just throw some bricks together to make a set. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Aside from the crypt and wagon, that's really disappointing. I think the "baseplate" set brings it all together nicely. A few coffins would have added to the set as well. Quote

A few coffins would have added to the set as well. I really think that it is a much better set without the "baseplate" (even if we loose one tree). Why? in one word MOCs!!!!! I will definitly buy it even if I'm not a huge HP fan (for Lego). Quote
MattZitron Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Ok, now we can compare the dragon in the set to the film. Go here and scroll down. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 They're not visible, so I'll just link everyone: http://www.mugglenet.com Click the links in the news post that says something about the GOF dragon. Quote

xwingyoda Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Thanks Matt for the picture :) Pretty cool dragon Quote
jonfett Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Lego's attempt at this dragon looks pretty accurate IMO, although it is all sand red (well, dark reddish) whilst this dragon has tan parts too. And, is it just me or does that dragon look a little bit.. on the chubby side? ;) Jon. Quote

A two colored skin dragon would have looked much better. By the way Jon, who wants a chubby dragon, w're already getting crapy dinos :D Quote
#1legofreak Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Harry Potter stinks ( not just the lego sets) Quote
