MattZitron Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Does any one think that hungarian horntail head would make a beautiful T-REx, hmmm.... didnt we hear something about dino's? doesnt lego like to reuse molds? lets hope we get the dino line, with better vehicles and better realistic sizes to the minifigs oh yeah, these sets look pretty nice I agree that the dragon looks like a T-Rex, I would be happy with it being a Rex but Lego should just make them kinda like the Viking ones. Plus there are no arms for it so it can't be the T-Rex. They probably wanted to get it to look like the one from the film as well as they could. Hense the colour, and shape. And who wants a third dragon like the Vikings one. This can be a different breed!!!!! Quote
The Middleman Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 I could use another Vikings dragon. I mean, if they're going to make new dragon pieces, they might as well use them across the board. Quote

Lego always complains about having to make new pieces and all kinds of things like that, yet they do dumb shit and make a new mold for one set. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Has this got small? Full Gallery Here. Quote
sam89 Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 I'm guessing that's the preliminary design. The City gallery shows that old preliminary Crane Truck instead of the proper one. Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I think it is odd that the Graveyard set has COMPLETELY change since last time we saw it which was a week ago! Does Lego have any clue what they are doing when they show off the sets? Quote
sam89 Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 I think the one at the NY Toy Fair is the preliminary version. There's several other sets that they're showing off that are preliminary. Quote

Damn! I like this graveyard set more. The only problem is the cart is missing, but it looks like a graveyard, it has two BROWN trees, and a ton of fensing with two great lamp post that I would love for my town. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I prefer the new one, because it has a baseplate. Quote
Assassin Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 The first Nurnberg one was best, hopefully this is not another example of Lego ruining a good design, after all, look what they have done to the Viking line. Quote

In your opinion it was "bets", mine and others think this "new" one is better. I like the "new" one more because of the pieces, and pieces, and pieces :) and the set as a whole seems to be planned and layout better than the other one which just had pieces thrown around. Quote
Precious Jazz Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I prefer the new one too. It just looks more like a complete set to me. I usually don't buy the Harry Potter sets but I might pick up some of the new ones since they don't look that bad. Quote
sam89 Posted February 21, 2005 Author Posted February 21, 2005 It looks like this is the final version of the Graveyard Duel: http://www.rowm.com/news.php?gallery_image_id=666#img Click there to see other pics of this and the other sets. All of the sets look awesome. The boat appears to have an interior underneath the main deck, which is great. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Anyone notice this? http://www.rowm.com/news.php?gallery_image_id=830#img Who the hell is 'Willy One-Eye?' Quote
sam89 Posted February 21, 2005 Author Posted February 21, 2005 It looks like we broke the server :$ Quote
Jipay Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 It looks like we broke the server :$ :/ this is why i ask you to copy the pics on the server :/ Not all the servers can support medium or heavy traffic :( Quote
sam89 Posted February 21, 2005 Author Posted February 21, 2005 I did, with that first pic anyway. I was about to save the rest of the pics to my computer, and I went back on and the site was down. Quote
R2GOING Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Anyone notice this? http://www.rowm.com/news.php?gallery_image_id=830#img Who the hell is 'Willy One-Eye?' He be the cousin of one eyed willy. Quote
spotfrog Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I MUCH prefer how the final version was done. All the different features come together to form a nice, creepy graveyard. I'm pretty sure "Willy One Eye " is just a placeholder. I remember on the side of the graveyard box, it had the pictures of the minifigs, and underneath, only "figure name" in place of the actual names. Quote
Wolf04 Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I'll commit suicide if I don't see those Harry Potter pics soon. P.S. I was joking...about the commiting suicide part. :P I know I've seen that picture with the prototype set of the Graveyard Duel set but I can't find it anymore. Could anyone direct me to it? Ooops, nevermind, it was in this thread. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I'm just hoping that they didn't change Mad-Eye Moody to 'One-Eye Willy'. I didn't see the one set I really wanted to, the Durmstrang Ship. It crashed while I was on it. :/ Quote
