Rumble Strike Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 OOC: Fair enough Sandy. Guys, if Atramor is gonna be taking on for the team each time using the Pheles Rod, then it's up to all of us to use conditional actions to make sure we aren't leaving too many free hits. Just keep that in mind. Also it's too late for me to put up actions and a battle order, I will have to do that tomorrow, apologies. Quote

When there are fewer enemies remaining (ie less free hits) it would probably be a better time for him to soak up the free hits. Quote

When there are fewer enemies remaining (ie less free hits) it would probably be a better time for him to soak up the free hits. I'd rather use one Phoenix Essence per round than have to make sure every single person is getting healed consistently...plus, unless our luck completely fails, I'll survive and use a Health Core next round. Now that we've taken down five of them, it'll be a lot easier. If it wasn't for Whirling Flames Atramor still be alive, he only got downed by one free hit last time. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Tarn grimaced as Atramor fell. He knew the Witch had been confident of surviving the pile-on at the end of the round, but it had proven more difficult than he had anticipated. On the bright side, several of their foes were already vanquished. It didn't help that he felt very fuzzy-headed though. Tarn wielded Lion's Heart, with it's Stun ability and double damage against Humanoids, and attacked Divine Physician from the front row. Then he will attack the Life-taking Judge from the front row. Lee Long will use Phoenix Essence on Atramor from the back row. Lee will then attack the Tiger Slayer with Darkness from the front row. Garnetic will attack Rainbow Tiger from front row OR if defeated, Jade Flagbearer from back row Aquamarq will attack Rainbow Tiger from front row OR if defeated, Jade Flagbearer from back row Opalix will attack Twin-Tailed Scorpion, back row Sapphiraz wil attack Twin-Tailed Scorpion, back row Emeray will attack Sacred Water, front row Rubio will attack Pilgrim, front row Topazor will attack Pilgrim, front row Battle Order (subject to change) >Benji uses Remedy on Thalion >Thalion uses Remedy on Tarn >Thalion uses Remedy on Tesni >Tesni uses Remedy on Nagure >Lee uses Phoenix Essence on Atramor >Atramor (Conspirator) vs. Touching The Sky Nagure (Stone Hammer) vs. Fiery Eyed Lion Nagure (Stone Hammer) vs. Fiery Eyed Lion OR if defeated, Rainbow Tiger Benji vs. Lonely Star Tesni (Faelan) vs. Faceless Tarn (Lion's Heart) vs. Divine Physician Tarn (Lion's Heart) vs. Life-taking Judge Lee (Darkness) vs. Tiger Slayer Garnetic vs. Rainbow Tiger OR if defeated, Jade Flagbearer from back row Aquamarq vs. Rainbow Tiger OR if defeated, Jade Flagbearer from back row >Opalix vs. Twin-Tailed Scorpion >Sapphiraz vs. Twin-Tailed Scorpion >Atramor (Pheles Rod) vs. God of Death Emeray vs. Sacred Water Rubio vs. Pilgrim Topazor vs. Pilgrim Quote
CMP Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Atramor rolled over and coughed up a mouthful of Phoenix Essence, head pounding. That had hurt a lot more than he anticipated. McCafferey stared in silence, looking almost exasperated as she sat perched on a crag and shook water out of her feathers. The witch grumbled, snatching the cutlass and rod from beside him and getting back to his feet, power coursing through him as a result of it and the automatons. He took a stab with Conspirator at Touching the Sky from the front row, then rammed the Pheles Rod into the God of Death from the back row. "Thanks, Lee." Quote
Sandy Posted July 28, 2013 Author Posted July 28, 2013 QM Note: The results of the first round took me several hours to calculate, so unfortunately I cannot do the second round today, as I need to go to bed soon to get up for work early. That means you will have another 15 hours or so to finetune your strategy. Don't be afraid to use conditional actions, they may save you. Quote
Flare Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Benji growls in impatience at the seeming not existent response for action by the party's female warrior, who had so shamed him earlier on. He rolls his eyes, if thats possible for a reptile to do, and looks over at Thalion and winks, hoping that the mage would notice. Edited July 29, 2013 by Flare Quote

Rumble Strike Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 The battle is almost a blur to Tarn with so much going on. The final battle in Dastan was intense but with so many allies and enemies here means so much confusion. He thinks he sees Tesni smash up the automata that was Hastening them all and winces. We never even got a chance to fix it, he thought. Fuzzy-minded like before, he shouts to the others. "I think I Stunned a few of the Stars, we don't need to target them this round. Benji, can you Hasten yourself and Remedy someone?" OOC: Woah, absolute carnage! Quote
CMP Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) Would Knife-Wielding Demon steal effect/elemental immunity and 'grants black-effect to all allies? I'm assuming no since they're not effects, but if otherwise, we need to change strategy here. Atramor sputtered for breath as the party was drenched in a wave of water right after being toasted by the Fiery-Eyed Lion, staring as Saphhiraz bits floated past. "We can't fight like this. Everyone with Smelling Salts, use them. Tensi, activate that Neutralizer...we only get one shot at it, so from now on we have to be damn careful. It takes effects off enemies too, so we're back to square one here. I can't absorb the free hits this round, we'll just have to be careful what order we go in and avoid area of effect specials. I'll heal Tarn. Tarn, hasten Lee. Nagure, smash the Faceless if ya' could. Benji, finish off Lonely Star. Thalion, try and put the Divine Physician to sleep with the Sleeper. Lee, take down the Conqueror and the Tiger Slayer. The automatons should attack from the back row. Opalix on the Twin-Tailed Scorpion, Garnetic and Aquamarq on the Third Brother, Topazor on the Jade Flagbearer, and Emeray on the Knife-Wielding Demon." "Order should be Tesni (From Demon King, 0 free hit damage) Atramor (From God of Death) Thalion (From Living King, 12 free hit damage) Benji (From Pilgrim) Tarn (From Strategist) Lee (From Yakshini) Atramor (From Judge, 26 free hit damage) Nague (From Sacred Water) Nagure (From Sky, 25 free hit damage) Tarn (From Lion, 25 free hit damage) Lee (From Rainbow Tiger, 53 free hit damage) Benji (From Tigress, 24 free hit damage) That all sound good? I figure Lee is likely to channel Chakra anyway, so damage on him isn't as bad." Edited July 30, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
Flare Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) "I will use my toolkit on Sapphiraz, and then we can save our smelling salts for later." Benji uses a smelling salts on himself, and attacks the Lonely Star from the back row. OoC: Almost everyone is confused, whaddawe do? Edited July 30, 2013 by Flare Quote
CMP Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 OoC: Almost everyone is confused, whaddawe do? Sapphiraz is destroyed, we can't do anything about it. And Tesni has a Neutralizer we can use. We can't afford the time to Remedy every single person individually, most of us are out of Remedies. Quote
Flare Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 OoC: Can Benji attack the Conqueror, I'd rather he did since the Lonely Star has so little health yet - soneone else could easily take him out. Also, Sandy, can I use a toolkit to revive thr automaton? Quote
CMP Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) OoC: Can Benji attack the Conqueror, I'd rather he did since the Lonely Star has so little health yet - soneone else could easily take him out. Benji, Nagure, and Lee are the only ones really attacking this round, though. Nagure gets an extra multiplier on the Faceless because he's ice and Lee does about twice as much damage as Benji. Right now it's kind of just a matter of taking out as many enemies as possible regardless of wasted damage to reduce free hits. You'll probably just end up going into Beast Form and doing no damage anyway. Not to mention Lee is already attacking the Conqueror. Edited July 30, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
-obelix- Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) "As you say!" Thalion nods and uses his stored potion on Tarn before he attacks Divine Physician with Sleeper, from back row. OOC: Just a heads-up, Thalion has a Potion stored in Sleeper, so if anyone needs it he can use it without spending his turn... Edited July 30, 2013 by -obelix- Quote
Costy Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) Nagure uses a smelling salt on himself, and attacks Faceless from the back row with his hammer. Edited July 30, 2013 by Costy Quote
Flare Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 OoC: Everyone who isn't immune to confused effect: provide a secondary action in case you are inflicted qith the effect. Use a potion on an enemy and hopefully it will actually work on an ally and still target the enemy. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Tarn looks at Atramor. "I'm not sure I will survive two free hits without being healed first. So no pressure!" Quote
CMP Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 "That in mind, maybe Thalion should use his Potion on you....just in case." Quote
Sandy Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 OoC: Also, Sandy, can I use a toolkit to revive thr automaton? QM Note: No, sorry. It was already specified that the toolboxes only restore condition, they cannot mend an automaton that's literally "beyond repair". You have unfortunately lost Sapphiraz for good. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) Tarn uses a Smelling Salts on himself from the back row and then uses another Smelling Salts on Lee, again from the back row. Using Darkness from the back row, Lee attacks Conqueror and then the Tiger Slayer. Tarn turns to the giant Yeti. "Nagure, I know you feel sufficiently shielded, but would it not be wiser to attack from the back row this round?" Then back to the Witch: "Atramor, should the automata be attacking individuals rather than ganging up on targets? They won't put them down anyway, and it'll save us some free hits?" Rubio attacks the Twin-Tailed Scorpion, back row Opalix attacks the Twin-Tailed Scorpion, back row Garnetic attacks the Third Brother, back row Aquamarq attacks the Third Brother, back row Topazor attacks the Jade Flagbearer, back row Emeray attacks the Knife-Wielding Demon, back row Battle Order: >Tesni uses Neutralizer >Atramor takes Smelling Salts >Thalion (Sleeper) uses Potion on Tarn from Hollow Blade, then attacks Divine Physician >Benji takes Smelling Salts >Tarn takes Smelling Salts >Lee (Darkness) attacks Conqueror >Atramor (Conspirator) heals Tarn >Nagure takes Smelling Salts Nagure (Hammer) attacks Faceless >Tarn uses Smelling Salts on Lee >Lee (Darkness) attacks Tiger Slayer >Benji attacks Lonely Star >Garnetic attacks the Third Brother >Opalix attacks the Twin-Tailed Scorpion >Rubio attacks the Twin-Tailed Scorpion >Aquamarq attacks the Third Brother >Topazor attacks the Jade Flagbearer >Emeray attacks the Knife-Wielding Demon Edited July 30, 2013 by Rumble Strike Quote
CMP Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) Atramor inhaled some Smelling Salts and tried to charge a healing spell through Conspirator at Tarn, both from the back row. Then back to the Witch: "Atramor, should the automata be attacking individuals rather than ganging up on targets? They won't put them down anyway, and it'll save us some free hits?" "Tried to spread 'em out as much as I can. Avoidin' free hits is the main goal, but I don't wanna risk any particularly nasty specials again." Edited July 31, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Tarn nodded, Atramor's reasoning was sound, especially seeing how powerful the specials they had triggered so far had been. He had another idea. "Also Tesni could take a Smelling Salts, but she'd have to be first and second in the order. What do you think?" Quote
CMP Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 "Thought about it, but she'd lose the effect after she used the Neutralizer." Quote
