OoC: I just wanted to give you a chance to buy items you need from the market. I recall one or more of you wanted to buy items earlier.

The Party decided to watch the Festival. They walked out onto the bustling streets of Orsedd, spying a myriad of interesting stalls and sources of entertainment. The town was busy, and the atmosphere was gay. The Party found ways to entertain themselves throughout the day, watching jugglers and participating in a free wine-sampling paid for by Lord Montressor. eventually the time passed, and the parade drew nearer. Would the Party get some last minute shopping in before they left after the parade?

The Party quickly vacated the market area to catch the parade. They regrouped with their second employers in front of the Inn. Then the show started.

The first people down the line were lesser known Lords, some from the north, some from the south west. Eventually, after a long line of Lords, Ladies, and their servants, the parade finally grew fancier, and one of the Lords the Party had already met arrived, sitting fancily atop his brown horse rode Lord Montressor. His arrival was followed by none other than the Queen herself. She was shrouded in a rich black and red carriage. For the majority of the parade the shroud covered her face, but for a moment, she looked out upon the crowd with the veil lifted. She seemed bored and tired. Beside her, confidently, strode the leader of the blackguard, his men flanking the Queen. A confident smirk painted his chiseled face.

Behind the Queen trailed her personal Guards, lead by the grimacing Captain of the Guard.

Behind the Guards trotted the High Priest of Ennoc, who was flanked by his lower priests, and behind the Priest, rode the two Lords of Brendenton, neither overly pleased to walk behind the Queen, but still reveling in the power afforded to them by being in charge of the wealthiest city in Sundestia. After them walked a few more soldiers, loyal to the Brendens

When the Parade was over, Dice nudged William.

25yyhs4.jpg "So, are you all ready to go?"

25yyhs4.jpg "Alright!" Stated Dice. "Let's go meet our Shepherd." Stated Dice, leading the party through the throngs of people clamoring about in the wake of the parade. After pushing through to the far end of the Town, Dice stopped to reacquire his cart and horse. Yoro walked beside him, bantering haughtily about the figures in the parade. Jasper mostly remained quiet, eyeing those who passed them by intently. He had bags under his eyes and looked quite mopey. When Dice had ensured that his items were fastened tightly to the cart, the headed out through the gate. On their way out, they were searched again by members of the Blackguard. These few seemed inebriated. Dice reported his items; one barrel of Ale, a crate of Pepper, a crate of flatbread, and 3 bottles of wine. The Blackguards enforced a "Wine Tax," claiming one of the bottles in his possession, which Dice begrudgingly handed over. Upon leaving the city and walking a quarter of a short distance, the party came upon a cloaked woman, surrounded by a flock of 15 sheep, and a dog. She smiled naively at the party, waving faintly. Dice smiled.

"This is Holly." He stated. "Holly, this is our crew. These men'll make sure we, and your sheep, make it to and from Argentil in one piece."

15x05uf.jpg Holly smiled, and said, "Pleasure to meet you!"

"Hello, pleased to meet you. What do you need us to do?"

OOC: Any rules or mechanics we need to know to protect the sheep?

OoC: No specific rules, but I will reveal Holly's stats in a sec. I was going to wait for others to post, but now I'll just move on without them. Busy weekend?

"Hello, pleased to meet you. What do you need us to do?"

15x05uf.jpg "Well..." She stated shyly, looking at Dice and back. "I need you to make sure that no bandits or Blackguards steal or kill my sheep. As I'm sure Dice told you, they're a crucial part of this..."

Suddenly Dice started shaking his head slightly.

15x05uf.jpg "I mean to say, Dice paid allot of money for these sheep and if they don't get to and from Argentil in one piece, then he'd lose that money... I'm not a merchant though, so I'm just here to tend to them and make sure the wolves don't get them. My dog Ennocsend and I can fight too if it comes to that!" She added.

Holly has joined the party!

Shepherd

These pastoral herders tend to their flock of sheep as they journey from market to market.

Base Health: 7 (+1 per level up)

Weapons: Shepherds are adept at using Crooks as weapons to defend their flock.

Job Trait: Know thy Enemy - Shepherds protect their sheep from many predators, and therefore know much about wolves and other dangers of the road. A Shepherd knows when wolves are near, and when confronting danger can provide insight about an enemy. (Show the stats of a Target when asked.)

Battlestyle: Herding - Shepards control the battle with their dogs and crook.

1. SHIELD:
Hit 'em where it Herds!
- The Shepherd commands their herding dog to fend off all attacking predators. All Beasts and Vermin take damage equal to the Shepherd's Dog's Level plus the Shepherd's level, and are confused for three rounds. (e.g. Dog's Level 2 + Level 2 = 4 damage + confused for three rounds to all Beast and Vermin.)

2. CRITICAL HIT: The Shepherd attacks the target with strength equal to two times their weapon power added to their level. (e.g. WP 3 x 2 + Level 2 = 8 damage.)

3. HIT: The Shepherd attacks the target with strength equal to their weapon power added to their level. (e.g. WP 3 + Level 2 = 5 damage.)

4. PROTECT: The Shepherd ensures no harm befalls the Hero below them in the Battle Order for the remainder of the round.

5. DAMAGE: The Shepherd is struck by the opponent's attack.

6. SPECIAL DAMAGE / FOSTER THE FLOCK: The Shepherd is struck by the opponent's special skill, but if the skill involves eating sheep, no sheep are lost.

"A crucial part of what..?" William asks, his eyes turning into slits.

25yyhs4.jpg "Making money from this mission. If we lose sheep, we lose capital. It's basic economics." shrugged Dice, Jasper glaring at him.
