does someone knows when lego will make some kind of sales or discounts on the sets?

i have to buy the London bridge, and the last 4 modulars so i would like to save some money

They generally don't. Sets like these that sell well will remain at full price until they retire. At that point they just disappear.

You may have luck with other retailers, but not with Lego.

Here are all modulars. I took snapshots with Lego Digital Designer and then, put them together. Everything is in the right scale ;) I hope the next modular will be bigger than the last 3 ones, a set sized like the Grand Emporium or Fire Brigade will be great !

I don't have all of the modulars, but when they're all together like this the PR, DO, & BB are not quiet as tall as the other modulars. It's not even a big difference in height, just a little bit.

I really hope that happens, but I can't see Lego going back to that. They're focusing on detail rather than size on pretty much everything these days.

A modular hospital?!

Is it a real rumor?

Because I saw it being mentioned but it was more wishful thinking than an actual rumor.

Weird thing is that i actually do not care what the function of the new modular is...as long as it appeals to me....and when do not like the new modular, i'll buy it anyway.... ...even two sets...to make it XL...!

Looks like we need two modular buildings and block is complete!

So I think lego want to archieve this but rumours of inverted modular or additional baseplate sounds to me fake.

If hospital in 239€ euro price range is true, Im expecting same 32x32 baseplate but IMO this building will be higher and overall depth same as town hall.

Town Hall was released at 180€. Even if the new modular is as tall as the Town Hall*, there will be a 60€ gap! TLG can add a vehicle, but i hope there will be another great "one more thing" with the set!

*Such a height will make PR, DO & BB so little... :/

Interesting thing about hospital can be microbuilds, some breathtaking details.Last three modulars they are going this route, I like interiors more than facade but these two things must be in balance.Town hall is big but really lackluster interior details.

Isnt problem to fill house with microbuilds and double piece count.

I don't think anyone said there was going to be a hospital.

The hospital and arcade were both postulated at the same time. Around the same time last year when people were asking about a possible police station too. The bank was a surprise but also highly asked for. It is quite possible in my mind that they will do a police station. Don't know about an inverted corner though, but if it were a police station then it would be possible.

What if inverted mean that modular looks like cross from above.I mean what else will be great for hospital.First floor with entrance bay for ambulance then classic cross.

hmm, I would like a larger, i.e. wider modular building but the suggested inverted corner seems higly unlikely to me.

A reccessed entrance would appeal to me though. That's something you do see a lot. (one of my WIP buildings e.g.: http://www.achterdegevelsvandelft.nl/huizen/Oude%20Delft%2095_files/Oude%20Delft%2095_1.jpg) and that includes "inverted corners".

But even so I still doubt it. Lets just wait and see.

But even so I still doubt it. Lets just wait and see.

I could definitely go for that. It has an interesting shape to the structure, but isn't an inconvenient shape like an actual inverted corner would be. It would definitely help breakup the street and give a more varied look to a layout.

A great idea would be a basic sky-scraper set with, say, 3 levels... Then there is also a separate Lego-set that offers two extra levels, that fit in between the second and third level of the basic set.. People could just buy the basic set, or go crazy and buy multiples of the second, additional set... hmm.. 10 levels high would be cool. The skyscraper could look like those older New York skyscrapers, for example the Flatiron Building...

What do you EB'ers think of such an idea??

(i can't post pictures at the moment..maybe someone else could post a picture of the Flatiron Building..?)

Lego never sell additional packs except minifigures.They want full experience at the start, there could be various packages like train cars, or additional attachments for technic sets but there is nothing.

These things can be succesful or worst sellers so they probably didnt want to risk this.

It would not be expensive to bring the additional levels on the market, as they could use the same bags as in the main set...So only a new box....

If you want to add extra levels to a modular, just buy 2, or more sets of the same item, as Lego said in the Cafe Corner instructions ^^

I think the biggest problem with extra floor sets, would be the viable market. I would really wonder how many people would a tally buy extra floors. Although with a skyscraper, it would likely work better than with other Modulars. For me, I wouldn't have bought any extra floors for my Modulars up to this point, and I own them all.

Not a bad idea at all. For a while now I've been thinking LEGO should focus just on the exterior aesthetics of the modulars & to make them taller, then sell the accessories for the inside of the modulars separately. But it really wouldn't be such a good idea.

Oh I see... A modular Hospital would be awesome but I think it's unlikely
