FYI, this has nothing to do with the new modular; it's just a copy of a barnes and noble MOC by another member here.

I've seen this set on Lego Ideas... I guess his set got made after all, haha

one look at the lampposts wil tell you immediately that this is not an official lego design. 
and therefor not the new modular.

And it is way to dull to be so.

Turns out Lepin copied a MOC that was also posted on Lego Ideas!

By the way, the last set of Lepin till now in modulars  was 15011 - replica of Detective's office. 15012 and 15013 are replicas of Ferris Wheel and Grand Carousel. Numbers 15014-15016 are free. First of all my excuse of spreading this fake rumor, I didn't had the information to know that it was a copy of a MOC.. (I'm also quite curious how the maker will react to this copy )

Besides, I'm enormously happy that the 10th year anniversary Modular isn't a double building... I don't know what kind of OCD reaction I would've after the set wouldn't fit besides the other sets, which are paired per three! xD

^yeah, that's my MOC.  Not sure if I should feel flattered that my thing is alongside the official things worthy of being bootlegged... (apparently other MOCs are also copied, one of which is my favorite) but like I said in that MOC's thread I'll probably reconsider sharing LDDs to anyone from here on

It's a weird compliment, isn't it? The fact that a fake Lego company sees your creation as product-worthy.

I'm sorry that you feel like reconsidering to share your creations, but due to the context I completely understand.

I was really more bothered by the smaller car MOCs that I did with LDDs out there that I saw on Instagram that were posted, with no credit to me.  Look, even Range Rovers are bootlegged by the Chinese.  So more power to them, good luck moving 4600 pieces of fake plastic.  But other individuals who pass of my creations like it's their own actually seems to feel worse.  And this is a while back.  

Anyways, looks like this thread be hijacked.

Let's not get this thread further off-topic please. Also, considering Lepin are simply stealing TLG's designs (and AFOL's designs it seems), I don't think it is right to basically give them free publicity here. So, please no more discussion about Lepin's or any other clone brand's products.

I think it's good to let this thread rest for a while until any real news on the next modular comes out. I considered locking it for the moment at several points, but I'd rather keep it open. If the discussion goes too far off-topic though, you'll leave me no choice.

Are we assuming its almost two modulars based on the piece count/price of this?

I think he is stating that the Fishing Store Ideas set is similar enough in scope to a modular that it will be like getting two sets next year when you consider the upcoming modular.  I hope the Fishing Store comes out in the summer.  That way, the releases of the two upcoming buildings are really spaced apart next year.

The Fishing Store is really a standalone building, much like the Haunted House, the Simpsons House, or the Kwik-E-Mart. Definitely getting it though; would look great next to the river in my city.

I was going to say. I don't follow many MOCers but I have seen that building before. I love your work. If you don't post the LDDs instructions anymore that's fine, just keep posting your awesome pictures!

Also the fishing shack comes out in the fall, they said it in the video.

Yes, thanks for the interpretation, and yes stand alone, but likely easily modified to fit in if you wanted, I know some mod'd the haunted house to fit in and some changed it completely to just look like a normal building and added it in to the "street".  It might be a stand alone modular, and I will likely keep it that way but I am really just collecting the modular line and architecture line anymore so that is a boon to me.  Now if they announce the 2017 modular confirming our rumors that would be great.
