None of the other minifigures have an explicit orientation. Along those lines, I wouldn't mind a baby carriage that is pushed by a man. There had been two baby carriages so far but they were shown pushed by women. Quote
hugore Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 (edited) My two cents, with the following context: I am a very open-minded person, from Portugal, which is fairly open and relaxed in what is known worldwide as "the woke things". Same-sex mariage and abortion are allowed by law and we are currently discussing how same-sex adoption should be allowed. Not if, but how. I strongly believe that sexuality should not be the thing that defines you as a person. It plays a part, but it is not THE thing. That being said: 1) I understand that LEGO stays away from those lines as we stay away from fire. After all, they are a highly visible company which makes "children" toys for profit. 2) Do we really need this to be an issue in every single item that is placed on the market? The marvel of LEGO is that we can always add those features to our builds, however we want them. I sure did... Edited September 5, 2024 by hugore Quote

Lion King Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Two dads or two moms pushing a baby’s stroller, anyone? Quote

Lion King Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 (edited) Nothing confirmed for the next modular buidling yet. But it looks like the next Winter Village set will be post office. If it’s true, will that mean we won’t get a modular post office this year? Like when there was Daily Bugle set 3 years ago and desginers scraped newspaper press Modular becuase of it. EDIT: it looks like it’s confirmed that Winter Village set will be Santa’s Post Office, accroding to fateful_lego. My quesiton above remains unanswered. Edited September 16, 2024 by Lion King Quote
Shiva Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Well, if a Winter Village Post Office, wouldn't that rather need a far away post office where it gets mail from? Quote

They already had a winter village post office, it was one of the first sets. I feel after all the modulars have mailboxes they should make a post office now. I hope they make it eventually. Seeing how this one should be a corner it would be perfect as a post office. Hopefully we get some kind of leak soon. Quote
Brick900 Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 (edited) It is possible that this will be a corner building if the tradition of having a corner building every three years continues. I would say that there are three eras of modular buildings: 1. Advanced Models Era (2007-2012) 2. Creator Expert Era (2013-2020) 3. Icons Era (2021-present) Edited September 16, 2024 by Brick900 Quote
BrickFit26 Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 (edited) Those gargoyle elements in the new Wednesday sets would be good for gothic architecture, but would gothic architecture fit in the modular line? Edited September 17, 2024 by BrickFit26 Quote
Hippocampe Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Why not ? In real life, a city is often made of buildings of different eras: some hyper modern city skyscrapers, some Victorian mansions, some very old gothic churches, many not too specific, even some eyesores 😆 ! The different timelines are what make a city rich in history and dynamic. Sometimes it is voluntary to renew an area because it’s not adapted to the needs of the next generation, sometimes it’s because of a natural disaster (flooding, hurricane, fire, etc). The challenge is to try to better incorporate those different features (styles, heights, colors, etc). So let’s use our imagination ! Quote

I don’t see problems for gothic archeicture fitting into modular street. Gargoyles would be perfect for gothic building or haunted/abandoned manor. Quote
RichardGoring Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 I built the Hogwarts alt-build University modular by Bolt Builds on Rebrickable and love it. It's a gothic architecture style and it totally works, especially against more civic buildings like the brick bank, fire brigade, and also the Parisian Restaurant. Stefanisimo Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 This should be the most pieces ever in a 32x32 modular. Really curious to see how it turns out. Maybe the extra pieces are used to make a post office truck if that rumor is true. Can't imagine one without it. Quote

I still can’t beleive that Police Station didn’t come with a police car - officers had to chase after a thief on foot. lus, printed parts will be great. Moving Truck and Retro Hot Dog Truck are great but i don’t like stickers so Iwish they are not GWP. Quote

I really want Lego to make one, those city ones are somewhat goofy looking if I'm being honest. Quote
