If they do re-release or even create a new set that features the arched window piece, it'd be nice if they make a glass piece for it. They use it quite often with it featuring in Cafe Corner, Green Grocer, Pet shop, Palace Cinema, Parisian Restaurant and the Detectives office, although I'll hasten to add some of those did use the mesh piece inside it so that's ok. But for those that didn't and had them left open, especially above a stack of glassed frames, the effect is odd. It can be ignored, but it'd be nicer not having to.

Glass for those windows would be great. It is odd to have them as empty frames. I find it even odder (and unrealistic) that the Palace Cinema used them at all. Who builds a movie theater with windows to the outside?

I've stated before that I want a corner bank as the next modular. I do like the idea of a garage/mechanic shop more than the debunked Arcade modular rumor.

Yeah right I know! Whats the deal with windows in a movie theatre? I never thought to MOD it without windows until now. Anybody done that yet?

Hi everybody, officially joining the club here; my wife and I just bought FB GE and TH so we'll have all but the first three. We've hit our wall since even used CC MS and GG sets are over $500. Reprints would be nice (GG is her favorite of all 10) but anything to continue expanding our city. : ) I think pretty much all the ideas out there sound great, potential wise, just as long as the execution is good.

So true. I thought the same thing when building it. Unfortunate the arcade was debunked. Could've tossed it across the street just to bug everybody trying to watch 3 Clicks. > : )

That's a part very high on my wish list as well.

I also wish that the next corner modular doesn't use the 1x4x2 tan arch those windows fit in - so far all the corner buildings used that, and it's getting stale.

I always thought a modular version of the Main Street mechanic shop would be fun. Loved that set as a kid.

Thats a great idea! Ive always thought some of those classic town buildings could be turned into some sweet modulars, scale them up and add some nice details and they could look awesome.

Another dark red and tan building like FB and a brick built 'garage' sign would be cool.

@ Sir Stig - Very nice. That would make for a nice corner Modular building.

Re: Arched Glass - That would be good, although then I'd need to buy a LOT of extras to fix all the currently glassless arched windows.

Huh, I've never seen that set. How did I miss that? It must not have been in Australia? Either that or it's earlier than my first catalog, 1983. I had a 1982 catalog that went missing. :(

Re: Mall/Shopping Arcade. I think if they would do a mall, instead of already having the stores there, they would do something like the Playmobil Dollhouses (the Large Grand Mansion and the Modern Luxury Mansion) where they would have the largest set be the mall, and then some sets be the music store, the electronics store, the department store, the food court, a skating rink, the women's clothing store, the men's clothing store, the toy store, the Hot Topic-esque store, the home store, the bed and bath store, the jewelry store, and more.

I just feel they are predictions that have a high chance of being correct because they are new parts very suited to the subject matter. I'd say that 1x1 brick with swirl on the side is tailor made for the cornices of old-style buildings.

Both suggest a victorian or edwardian style building.

I wouldn't mind seeing those parts surface in a modular at all, seeing as I don't have any.

I yesterday received the Pet Shop through the post and built it. It's a good set and I wouldn't mind seeing another set sometime that incorporates a similar detachable dual building format. My only issue with the set is similar to one I found with the Detectives office- how the exterior stairs aren't sealed off from the interior of the shop/building, leaving a big gap open to the elements (and burglary). There's also the problem of anyone walking up the stairs slipping and falling into the shop... :look: I'd rather the stairs were sealed off.

I know what you mean--though this is an area where I just suspend my disbelief. I just built a small 16-wide modular with exterior stairs; I initially wanted to seal off the stairs, but doing so made the interior even more cramped.

I thought so too, but I also enjoy seeing these old downtown areas. I was in Van Buren, AR and saw that open stairs like that. Of course there is a door at the top of the stair.

It's probably stating the obvious but I predict that the next modular will feature the new dark red or sand green masonry profile bricks and feature tan accents with these two elements used heavily:

- above the windows: http://alpha.brickli...em.page?P=20309

- on top of columns and/or repeated along the cornice: http://alpha.brickli...em.page?P=20310

Hoping for that aswell.

I was even shortly contemplating getting that Friends set just to get those pieces, but I wouldn't have known what to do with all the pieces in (to me) useless colors that set also has, so the price per usable piece ratio was too low for me. I'll definately get some of these from BL though.

I really really hope that they decide to release a Modular train station set. While the chances for that is quite low since they released a train station last summer, they've also done a Modular fire station set before, so I guess there is still hope for a Modular train station.

@ Naijel - It's in the Valley. Corner of Wickham and I think Brookes Streets.

I've been past it many times, but, as a recent AFOL, today was the first time that I appreciated it as a potential Lego set. Especially being a corner and a period building.
