8BrickMario Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'd like an opera house/ "Grand Theatre" set. Quote
ilikeboomerang1 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Did you like my idea for the stock market modular? Quote
Jern92 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 The Lego Neighbourhood Book has several alternate build of modulars, but sadly without instructions Quote
BlockLogo Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 You can buy the instructions on brick city depot. Quote
The Executive Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I'm glad the new Modular is a bank, it's been long overdue. Maybe next they can make a proper Police Station and Hospital. Quote
Gorki247 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Question about the modulars. Did all of them come with an accompanying polybag? I know last year's detective office did, but don't remember any before that. Quote
ParmBrick Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I would like to see a post office, with a lot of storage, boxes, shelves and a delivery truck; a factory, with minifigures at work, cranes, machines or production lines; or a library, with shelves, books that open, hidden secrets for the detective. Quote
Herky Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I like that idea ParmBrick...also thanks for the Brick City Depot info, sort of like a modular 3 in 1 type...I would buy more than one set if I had the option of an alternative build. Quote
Carisma Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I would like to see an Arcade as our next modular corner building in 2019. Quote
nesquik Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I'd like an opera house/ "Grand Theatre" set. As far as the architecture is concerned, it's a wonderful idea. However, given the amount of seating required and the relative small space of the baseplate, I don't think it would work out. Quote

Boettner Builds Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I'm turning my super XL palace cinema into a grand theatre. So far it has over 200 seats but it's also on 2 XL baseplates with no sidewalk! Quote

Boettner Builds Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 It's been shelved for now, as I have more seasonal priorities right now. But I'll see if I can't snap some pictures. (I really need to start some threads for my stuff!) Quote
Herky Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 A few or maybe a lot of pages back, someone brought up the idea of a mini modular set #2, not sure if that was a rumor or a wish...anyone know? Quote
Edgarama Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 A few or maybe a lot of pages back, someone brought up the idea of a mini modular set #2, not sure if that was a rumor or a wish...anyone know? The site repubrick has free instructions to build mini versions of the next 4 or 5...and a haunted mini too. They are not official, but they are sufficient. Quote
Herky Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 nice, the haunted mini sounds very appealing Quote
Hobbun Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I didn't see a general question thread for this sub-forum, so started a new thread. Moderators, please feel free to condense with another thread if it was supposed to go there, instead. But I have been looking more into the Creator Expert line of buildings, and was curious all the sets that have been released for it. I see Brick Bank coming out the beginning of the year, and Detective's Offce, Parisian Restaurant, Pet Shop and Palace Cinema are still current. But what are the older ones that are now retired, as well? Does anyone have a complete listing of them? Thinking about getting into this line, just would need to find a place to put them! Quote
Richard Dower Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=S&catString=710 Quote
Hobbun Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Thanks! But I believe the "Expert" line of them is the numbers that begin with 10? Quote
Sven F Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Maybe even the wikipedia listing would be helpful if you are new to this, it also lists them all. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Modular_Buildings Quote
Hobbun Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Thank you for everyone who has responded. I had hoped to collect the earlier sets, as well. But looking at the prices of those online, they are way too much. Quote
Sven F Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 yes, I think that's a big downer when you initially wanted to get them all. I wonder if tlg is loosing potential buyers for new modulars due to people giving up the idea entirely because of the unobtainable early sets. Someone who studied the behavior of collectors would know more about this phenomenon. If it's any consolation, the early sets are quite outdated in build techniques and bricks. Some revolutionary elements that we have today weren't around at the time and interiors are a bit lack luster in comparison to new models, or in Cafe Corner's case, lack completely. Quote
