Would a raised modular look bad? The street would go up and back down like a bridge. Then there'd be room for a small room downstairs. If not raised, maybe one with an extra 16x32 plate...

I can say with almost 100% certainty that it is not a corner building. Unless they stray from the pattern.

Consider we've finished a 'block' now, a corner to start the new one would be in pattern, surely?

If it's not a hospital, I'd really like a pair of townhouses. Although I doubt that's likely, since the Pet Shop is still available. Hmmm.

I love this idea, I've been wanting more living space for my minifigures.

Can we see an example in a picture? This idea sounds very intriguing.

I sure hope it (the 2017 modular building) will be some kind of train station, like the Lego Ideas one. :classic:

It is very decorative like Kings Cross. It looks fairly Victorian British Style. I love Britain , after all i am British .

Dear friends,

Although the Hospital/clinic/doctor's office hopes are shared, do keep in mind the pattern we have seen so far...

1. Commercial Corner building

2. Commercial business w/ regular house

3. Government building

After the Brickbank next in line would be some kind of commercial company with some living area. (like GG, PS & PR)

Then 2018 could be a hospital as this falls in the government line (just as the FB, TH & DO)

UNLESS, Lego finds some sort of private practice (like a dentist) to fit in line for next year.

But then I don't have any hopes for some real hospital any time soon...

I have seen that one as well. It is very nice and maybe it will be released as the next modular building. That would be a welcome surprise. By the way I am British too Edited by Legoboy22

Detective Office broke that pattern by not being a Goverment type building. So believe anything is possible!

Common practice to make it fit into the pattern is to assume the Detective's Office as a stand-in for a police station.

But I also think they abandoned that pattern. .

Someone on the Italian Lego Forum was told by a Lego salesman that the 2017 Modular Building is going to be an inverted corner with perhaps an additional 16x32 baseplate and its cost will be around 250 euros...anyway it's just a rumour...

What Italian LEGO Forum?

Hmmmmm. So, two apparent sources for an additional 16 x 32 plate. I must admit, an inverted corner building with a street that goes up and down like a bridge is a bit beyond my imagination. But, it sounds like it would be visually very distinct and incorporate new design features / elements for the Modular line.

I have to admit I'm suspicious. Link please?

That would be pretty cool. It'll be nice to finally have an inverted corner. A little doubtful about the additional baseplate though; LEGO has proven lately that they're getting stingier with baseplates, so to suddenly offer 2 plates instead of 1 seems suspiciously generous...

Don't you see what's happening? They've been saving up on baseplates to put 'em all in this hyper-modular! :sweet:

Generous? At 250 Euros instead of 159, they can afford to be!

Jokes aside, I would love a Modular like that, but for now, just to be on the safe side, I shall treat this rumour as "a load of bollocks".

May you tell us more about this other apparent source?
