Hippocampe Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Assembly square is also an interesting choice for someone entering the world of Modulars since it includes Easter eggs details of all the sets that came before. I wonder if they will do the same concept for the future 20th anniversary Modular, not too far away in the future. Quote

I haven’t bought Assembly Square but isn’t that Boutique Hotel that has some Easter eggs referring to the previous Modular sets? Quote
Hippocampe Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 go to bricksfanatics.com 10255 Assembly Square references 10 years of modulars - an excellent article that was published on 17/10/2016 all the design styles, the techniques used, the colors that have been chosen in earlier modulars are described in this new anniversary environment Quote

I have seen reviews on Lego webpage about it and I love how detailed it looks from outside and isnide. I kinda hope the next modular building is not very similar to AS. Hopefully the info about the 2024 building se turns up in a few weeks! Buy Assembly Square and don't open it. If it is too similar to the new modular in your opinion when we finally get details on it, you could always sell your copy of Assembly Square for a profit after retirement to pay for the new modular. I am tempted to buy a few modulars to keep sealed and sell at a later date. Hmm... Quote
BrickFit26 Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Oh no. Don't be one of those scalpers that buys up a lot of sets and then sells them off at a secondary market for double, triple, or quadruple the price. Quote
Creation88 Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Some of the Lego social media peeps are saying the moving truck promo at the end of October will work with a preorder of the new modular. Anyone see that? Seems really early for a modular reveal and I’ve never known them to do a preorder for a modular before. Quote

It’s quite greedy of those sellers if they double, triple or quadruple prices. That’s one of main reasons why I don’t want to look for older sets (I managed to get Downtown Diner and Corner Garage at a decent prices) and it’s a much difficult hunt for me. I’m a generous guy who usually sell lego sets at a a fair pric (little lower than original prices). Quote

That’s not really scalping though, as Modular sets are readily available to anyone who currently wants to buy one. If there were limited quantities produced then it would be a different situation. I think it’s great as it gives people the option to buy sets they missed out on once LEGO retires them. Quote

Hippocampe Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Too bad for my hospital; I guess I’ll have to wait until the next anniversary set; I hope it will be of a classical architecture style Quote

Chris10 Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Great news! That was my number one wish, they can have so much fun with the interior builds. The site suggests 7 minifigures, I wonder if there will be extra ones to use as part of historical displays? Also I think this news makes the wider baseplate more likely. Quote

RichardGoring Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Well that's one of the Rebrickable sets I had in my list of things to build likely left alone now. Very interesting, and lots of potential. Quote
Lion King Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 if Museum is true, then YAY!!!! That would go a be awesome! 2 hours ago, Hippocampe said: Too bad for my hospital; I guess I’ll have to wait until the next anniversary set; I hope it will be of a classical architecture style Yeah. I am quite surprised that museum is not a 20th anniversary set. Hopsital is on the top of my list… Quote
BrickFit26 Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Interesting. I need 100% sure confirmation. Quote

legomaniacj Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 I will get it regardless, this would have made more sense to have as the 20th anniversary set though. I am still hoping to one day get a post office, but a museum would be cool too. My question, is there or were there any clues in the Jazz club build to suggest the next modular? Quote
jus1973 Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 If this Lego Ideas Museum is what people are seeing, then I’m not yet convinced it’s the official modular for 2024. This rumour has been bouncing around some facebook groups all day. Will be interesting to see…. Quote
