LEGO considers Market Street a modular, even it was branded as Factory set. Also, Assembly Square marks 10 years of modular buldings, but it is actually 11th in order. Quote
lomis Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Wow! This will likely become my favorite modular. It looks perfect. I'm looking forward to getting it and hopefully learning some new techniques. Quote

I'm sure the admins can make one exception this time. Otherwise I respect the rules and don't post leak. I can remove it when needed. Just so you are aware, Eurobricks has gotten into really hot water in the past with LEGO over leaked pics being posted. The general rule of the thumb nowadays is you can't post the leaked pictures themselves, you can't post a link to leaked pics on other sites, but you can say something like "website ABC has a leaked image of set XYZ if anyone is interested", as that gives people something to look for / something they can Google. Hope this helps you in the future! Edited November 19, 2024 by Murdoch17 Quote

I really wonder who is the designer. Must be someone who has never involved in the series before. Quote

Anyway... if you want to see more and high-res images of the corner building, go to the website of Reddit and search for the channel called 'Legoleak'. You will find all relevant visuals there. Looking forward to hear all commments here. Quote
chezzymann Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 (edited) Looks amazing! I hope the red roof lifts off, would suck if there were only 2 'full' floors. Will also be interesting to see how deep the blue building is, I wonder if its going to be more shallow than the main one Edited November 19, 2024 by chezzymann Quote
PK82 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 With that stair on the left side the footprint of the building will probably be rather small. I'm not exactly wowed by it but I think it will fit rather nicely in the only free corner spot in my city layout wedged between Assembly Square and Botanical Garden. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Im in shock, in a good way. But I need to see more. Wow. Quote

Poundland before Greggs??? Every time I go back to the UK, Greggs is my first stop to get a sausage roll. But then I go to Poudland to get chocolate buttons to bring back with me. 1 hour ago, theremin said: The building looks stunning! Cafe Corner released in 2007, so Boutique Hotel in 2022 was the 15th year. But would have been the 16th building. Market Street (also 2007) is counted as a modular, so Boutique Hotel was actually the 17th building. 18. Jazz Club. 19. Natural History Museum. LEGO Modular Buildings Collection | Brickset ETA: Sorry, didn't see the second page of comments which had a similar reply, before posting this. I think this looks awesome. It definitely feels like it's moved up a level in terms of detail, and now matches a lot of MOCs or a chunk of the other brand modulars that are cropping up everywhere. I love the colour scheme (the dark green and dark red are especially good. The bustle and life that it shows off are wonderful. Can't wait to see inside and whether the detail continues. Having said that, it really does seem like a very different feel compared to the others. Is it just because of the subject matter that it's so detailed, or a new step in the modular evolution? It also really doesn't fit with a lot of the other buildings and I think it will look a little odd next to them. But the Downtown Diner did the same thing, and it was the set that got me into modulars, so I hope this is a huge success! Edited November 19, 2024 by RichardGoring Quote
Murdoch17 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 (edited) The only way it could get more British is to have Mary Poppins flying in the air, the TARDIS parked on the corner, and the Beatles playing on the blue building's roof. Oh, and Harry Potter peeking around the corner. Edited November 19, 2024 by Murdoch17 Quote

So it will be a partial floor with full access. If that's the case, it will probably be for roof stability? 11 minutes ago, PK82 said: With that stair on the left side the footprint of the building will probably be rather small. It will definitely feel small, although that's also probably in keeping with the kind of building it is. Should mean that it can be almost standalone without needing to connect to anything else. The interior is going to be pretty cramped though. Quote

Honestly, this building looks like a love letter to my country. It might be the first normal (non-marvel) Modular I buy. It’d go great with my Sanctum Sanctorum Was the designer British perchance? BrickFit26 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 The Bavarian architecture is just great. So European. Also, the sign has two goat heads on it with "the Old Guarded Inn." Quote
NielsB Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 The staircase on the left side does annoy me a little bit. This will make the modular smaller and also the side is a bit open (same as Parisian Restaurant and the Dinner). So I wonder how it will fit next to other buildings. Quote
poisonbricks Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 It's a great model, but it's SO specific in a way that I don't personally think a lot of the other modulars have been - stuff like the Diner is clearly super American, but the actual building is such that I could see it being an American themed restaurant in basically any big city. This set feels like something that'd ONLY be found in the UK. It's cool! But it continues a theme (at least in my opinion) of modulars trending towards a focus on standalone displayability and not necessarily how they'll fit with one another. The Hotel had that sheer drop to one side that made it expose an ugly wall of almost anything else you put it next to, the Museum was huge and had a really striking colour palette compared to most of the others, and now this, with a very specific architectural style. Not that I mind it, they're still all fantastic sets, but I feel the urge to pick up less and less of them as a result. Quote

Overcold Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Wow wow love it! The two kittens appear to belong to the biker, who may be selling them out of a box. Upon closer look the blue building might also be a haberdashery. Can't wait for better pics! Quote
ReplicaOfLife Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 If that's real, it's a really cool looking set, and one I will get sooner rather than later (or propably never, as with the last two). Finally something I can put next to my tube station :D Quote
