Grudze Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 What about the PR left to the TC? A stair next to a stair. I think, this would look great. Quote
Lion King Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I think I might put Tudor Corner into my modular citty: I Bookshop I I Boutiue Hotel - National History Museum - Parisian Restaurant - Tudor Corner although i wish it’s an inverted / L-shaped corner building. Quote

The ground floor, it’s basically a pub (or at least as close to one as LEGO is willing to get). I love this modular, it’s like the British version of the Detective’s Office. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 @Ginger Ninjai thought and in was a place one can go and spend a day or few days there and leave, like a hotel, motel or bed and breakfast. Quote

Google defines an inn as “a pub, typically one in the country, in some cases providing accommodation”. Or “•HISTORICAL, a house providing accommodation, food, and drink, especially for travellers.” So in ye olden days it was more what you’re thinking, but also it sometimes still is today, but sometimes it’s just a pub. RichardGoring Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 It looks great! And surprisingly spacious inside. Looks like it's the clockmaker's apartment upstairs. Although access to the apartment is somewhat limited, as it's only a small flat area that is removable, not the entire roof, so I hope it's not trick photography making it look so good inside there. I like the cat-related things too. The stinky fish, the vacuum, the cat climbing tree, and the ball. Only a small cutout in the rear corner too, so maximizing the area on the baseplate, which is good. Quote

I think it is the new beetle print that at least was in the botanical garden set. Looks like the designer is interested in animals with those and the cats included. I think this looks great and wonder who the designer is. Hopefully the person will do another modular. Of course budget will play a part in the looks of the modular. After all the same designer did the popular hotel on a generous budget and the not so highly praised Jazz Club on a lower budget Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 @Ginger Ninjathanks for the explanation. It makes more sense to me. @Roebuckit is a beetle now that I look closely at it. Quote
NewTown Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 (edited) This is by far my favourite official modular to date, can't wait to build it and put it in my city! Bravo Lego. The last two years had been a letdown for me (didn't even buy the museum) so this is a welcome surprise. Edited December 3, 2024 by NewTown Quote

Maybe it’ll make getting the museum worthwhile? :) Edited December 3, 2024 by Ginger Ninja Quote
Blazej_Holen Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Based on the designer interview (check YT), all decorations are prints. YAY! :) Quote

SunshineinAutumn Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I LOVE this modular--I knew I did from the leak pics but the more I see the more I love. Also, Minifigure Series 27 Cat Lover seems destined to be the partner of the cat owner in the roof apartment. Quote

SollX Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I didn't notice the angle on the inn's wall in the leaked pictures. now watching tiago's interview i do. Man i already loved this modular from the leaked photo's. Now it is even better! I love modulars that are more different buildings combined like DO, PS. and this is just perfect. Quote
Ruthin Road Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Tudor Corner a good set and has much more life to it than the museum. I suspect the designer has done well to bring it in budget. The pub building exterior doesn't feel cohesive to me - three unintegrated floors of different styles of architecture. As often with the modular buildings, the proportions seem a bit off with the timbered section too small and the middle floor too big. The facade of the top two floors feels slightly too flat. A pub was a good choice for a corner building. However the squared off corner could have been made more of a feature rather than having a drain pipe. I would have liked to have seen the top two floors done in the timbered style and with more detailing, for example oriel/bay/mullioned windows, more prominent jettying, and more elaborate timbering. For a building called Tudor Corner, it is not very Tudor! The top floor flat seems to have a flat roof? I am not sure if the interior of the timbered section of building has been used? I will be interested to see more pictures in due course. Quote

They probably had a version that had a more tudor style build. but i think this probably looks better Edited December 3, 2024 by SollX Quote

Yoggington Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Great video for seeing more than the pics have allowed. I will reserve judgement until I buy and build, but this looks excellent by any metric. I can see this slipping into my favourites from the modular line with ease. Quote

Someone said that it will be available from 1st to 7th of January. I personally wish it was another vehicle to go along with the modulars, but well. I am not interested in it, as we already have a newspaper stand in the Police Station. Quote
hikouki Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 No new elements, just recolors and some new prints, and it is still a masterpiece!!! They mentioned that the stairs on the left had the Museum in mind. I wonder if they also picked out the colors carefully so it will also look good beside that Jazz tragedy. lol. Quote
